Guaranteed UFOs mod

Description
Can't get enough of those flying saucers o'doom hunting you all over the world? Can't stand that Bradford's clever flying skills prevent you from getting shot down? Miss taking the fight to the aliens and invading the UFOs yourself? This is the mod for you. I read somewhere that the odds of getting a Avenger defense mission is "an average of once per campaign". But average really means sometimes you'll get absolutely nothing at all. No longer! Now, you have a one guaranteed UFO interception per campaign, with the possibility of more if you are particular (un)lucky. In addition, even if Bradford - gaining some skill from the failed evasive maneuvers - manages to dodge future UFOs, all UFOs are guaranteed to spawn downed UFO missions.

So I see that there is quite a few people who have apparently never gotten to see the Avenger Base defense missions, and the Downed UFO missions. This is a pity, because both missions have unique design, utilize unique mechanics, and are just generally very nice. This mod guarantees at least one UFO interception, with future UFOs maintaining a very high chance to intercept (depending on difficulty), and all UFOs will eventually be downed. I may eventually change to likelihood of all interceptions to 100%, but I'm slightly worried that that will actually be too many, so please leave feedback.

This is just a small little mod I'm making to give me a feeling of accomplishment while I work on more ambitious ones. Balance-wise, this shouldn't change things up too much except to increase the likelihood of getting an early, and thus dangerous, base defense (as opposed to a late game plasma weapon-wielding Colonel kill fest). Strategy-wise the effect of the extra missions should be relatively small, so overall I'd say this mod doesn't make things significantly harder or easier (depending on your base defense mission, of course, which could be significantly more difficult if it comes early).

This mod should be compatible with basically everything except another mod doing exactly the same thing. If you like, subscribe, tell your UFO-less friends. Put comments, questions, and criticisms below. I do take mod requests and ideas, look out for more ambitious mods in the future (I'm working on a mod to increase the range of mission difficulty, and a mod to expand the Ranger).

i got avenger defense twice in this playthru and i fucking hate it, can i config this mod to turn it off so it never happens? also the ufo crashes my game so same thing

ah, for anyone using WOTC that may have been hoping for this to be made compatible, check out Additional Dark Events and then Permanent Dark Events respectively to accomplish the same effect :steamthumbsup:

Is this mod going to be updated to include WOTC? It'd be nice to breathe some new life into a slow late-game campaign I'm currently slogging through!

Especially in the Mid-End of games U.F.O. missions have a tendancy to be empty of enemies and computer consoles to end missions , which causes failed missions !

Is this a mod that makes it more likely to get a Avenger Defense mission? I wish there was a mod that made it so you could do that mission several times through one playthrough. That's probably the funnest mission in the whole game... Could someone create a mod like that, but each time it comes up, have a different environment or something? :D
