But the thing is now is figureing out how to ignore the breakthroughs that add a slot to each weapon in covert actions
Man,,, I need this mod updated =_=
I need it baddddddd. at least teach me how to add 5 attachments .loool
(graphics engine heavily bugged)
You can adjust your little problem on your own.
Find the place where your SteamApps - Common - XCOM 2 - XCOM Game - Config - DefaulGameData-WeaponData is.
Open this file and find the part with "Core properties and variables for XCom weapons"
There are all the weapon stats:
AssaultRifle_Conventional_Aim = 0
AssaultRifle_Conventional_CritChance = 0
..........
AssaultRifle_Conventional_iPoints = 0
Now you write this
AssaultRifle_Conventional_UPGRADESLOTS = 5
under every weapon you want to have upgrade slots, ! But with the proper name for every weapon ! 5 = slots
It should look like this:
AssaultRifle_Conventional_iPoints = 0
AssaultRifle_Conventional_UPGRADESLOTS = 5
AssaultRifle_Magnetic_Aim = 0
Because I tried it 3 times now and I made sure that it wasn't a mistake on my part. So it must be one of the mods.
Actually someone managed to do this mod without the UI bug showing up. Saw it on another mod that was adjusting the values for the actual attachments in the author's photos. I put a message in his comments asking where he got it.
@voodoo
Don't know where to do the adjustments in the game file. I'm going to have to do some learning it seems though. See how much tinkering I can do. Guy just managed to do an upgrade to the Gurella Warfare Unit to add squad expansions beyond 6. Can't be that much more difficult to do a research/Proving Grounds upgrade to add the extra expansion slots.
Too bad you can only pick 5 is there any file i can edit to allow weapons to have all 6?
@Azrealxx1
That and the gent that made the ADVENT rifle
Since early reloaders looked like two duct taped mags I thought they also used the magazine slot.
Actually you can use all 6. Repeater, Scope, Reloader, Magazine, Stock, Trigger. You could argue if you use the Mag you don't need the reloader or vice/versa at superior level. Honestly you should have 6 slots, but they should be research items, broken out by weapon. Tech tree is way too short as it is. Need research sinks in it.
