"Bomb ESP" is completely broken for Is0bel. Comes up as an instant in-combat suicide.
Majber 23 Jun, 2018 @ 7:01am
Does it work with latest version of the game? (last official patch is later that last update of this mod)
ProxCentB 5 Jun, 2018 @ 1:23pm
How about a fix that allows you to to start with a drone and a deck?
lunga 27 Jul, 2017 @ 10:16am
Hi, I've read a number of posts, but haven't found any info on it, but can someone tell me if there is anything I can do to the final save file to get the slap patch save to import into the Bonus campaign?
Zane Grey 24 Mar, 2017 @ 3:26pm
This probably belongs in a report sent to HBS, but being that they need to assimilate nearly all your fixes anyway...

After a point I discovered at least one glitch per mission. The most memorable was when extracting the Rooster. My main character used Astral Perception to hack the keypad while my remaining crew members slaughtered the Talon. THEN, after all that, I noticed a decking point and thought I might extract some valuable info. Is0bel snagged the info, but when attempting to unlock the gate, the heat bar maxed, and she died to White IC. Alright, my bad.

My complaint is that this results in Mission Failure, and I had to fight the Talon all over again from a previous save point! This is not correct. The gate was already open. It isn't correct anyway, as anywhere else she could have jacked in and tried again.

Hi Banjo, glad to hear you're recovering good! Looking forward to play the game, whenever you''ll update +for me mandatory+ Slap patch.. Cheers!
weevil empire 20 Jan, 2017 @ 4:06pm
i try to install this and it says it requires the other slap patch mod. i try to install that one and it says it requires this one. endless loop.
Luqrecia 10 Jan, 2017 @ 11:19pm
I am running an imported character with this set of mods (full expanded version), and just came to the first decking point in Bao's place. When I try to have Is0bel jack in, I get a blank equipment sheet for a character called IAmTroll 0088 (or something like that).
Any clues as to what I'm doing wrong, and how to fix the issue?
Conundrum 6 Jan, 2017 @ 12:26am
Is it possible for you to fix Gaichu's Metal Stance bonus perk? Currently it not only fails to give him light cover, but actually gives his TARGETS light cover, even from his melee attacks.
Magus Zeal 27 Dec, 2016 @ 3:17pm
Shadow Sale is like a simpler version of the Mystery Market for Dragonfall. It's a character creator, with different characters that offer all of the items, getting karma/nuyen/etc. It's a good thing to have for testing.
Banjo Oz  [author] 27 Dec, 2016 @ 2:00am
PS My personal health is slowly on the mend, but while I don't want it to see like a cop-out that I'm not working on my mods still now, I don't want to make false "next month" style promises in case it takes longer... but I do want to return to this as soon as I can, if only for completeness' sake. I honestly never expected anyone to play my mods besides me!

I still love the games in a way I expect Battletech will NOT fulfill, but also the world too... so here's hoping, as you say, that HBS someday revisit the SR universe with an even better, polished and immersive (and replayable!) game engine worthy of the setting. In the meantime, my hopes are on Cyberpunk (a setting I love even more than Shadowrun), especially given who's making it... :)
Banjo Oz  [author] 27 Dec, 2016 @ 1:59am
I feel the same way, Rozzy. Really felt disappointed and sad how they ended Hong Kong with no final, fixed "DC" type version (broken models and missing music still remains a huge crippling factor for SRHK). I appreciate the kind wishes and really, genuinely hope to at least make my mods compatible with the expansion they released (though I've yet to play it, as the Steam version was unplayable for me up until a fix a few months ago).

I don't think I know what Shadow Sale is... sounds pretty amazing!
Rae 25 Dec, 2016 @ 8:12am
Sucks that the game has largely run its course; I love using Shadow Sale to import into Slap Patch games with characters that have actual backgrounds and experience that makes sense for those backgrounds (ever tried running a hotshot decker that's scared of fighting and has to learn the hardest of hard ways? It's a trip). Kept hoping for a SoHK expansion, but seems it's not to be and I don't begin to have the modding talent to do it myself. C'est la vie.

Nevertheless, thanks for some fun times Banjo, and Merry Christmas. I know HBS will come back to Shadowrun some time in the future; hopefully they'll be cleaner about it then.
Palynium 3 Dec, 2016 @ 1:42am
Note to self: Read comments before doing a modded first playthrough and rendering yourself unable to import into the expansion >.<
Banjo Oz  [author] 12 Oct, 2016 @ 8:43pm
I'd still love to update it. It's just a matter of finding the time and being in good enough shape to do so. Been pretty sick of late, so getting to the bottom of that is taking priority sadly.
I just wish HBS would have given us a final "ultimate" version of the game to work with before abandoning it in the shape they did (missing music, broken models, etc.)
Acadian 6 Sep, 2016 @ 9:39pm
so is this mod dead for now?
Rutkowski 23 Aug, 2016 @ 12:33pm
So from what I gather there is no way of importing a SRHKSP save into the Shadows of Hong Kong expansion or converting the save to a regular SRHK save and then importing it? =/
Martyr 18 Aug, 2016 @ 1:00am
Oh really sorry to hear! Please take care of yourself, that is waaay more important. Thanks for at least giving me/us an update. I wish you well and hope I'll see your hard work one day!
Banjo Oz  [author] 17 Aug, 2016 @ 10:16pm
Sorry, Alpha, I've been very unwell for about four weeks in a way that prevented much computer use (dizziness/migraines). I really want to update this, but doing this in my free time (and IMO, HBS should be doing it!) means not being able to set a timeframe. :(
Martyr 14 Aug, 2016 @ 2:16pm
Its been over a month with no response/update on both here and the nexus :steamsad:
Martyr 13 Jul, 2016 @ 1:00pm
Agreed! Thanks for wanting to make make it better and fix their mistakes. How hard is it to do what you are doing? I haven't messed around with the editor myself due to not wanting to spoil the game before I played it, but I wish I could help you so it could be finished sooner!
Banjo Oz  [author] 12 Jul, 2016 @ 1:26am
Thanks for the support, folks. Doing this in my free time gets harder as I get older and busier (days of college modding and gaming are long gone) but I really do want to make this game the best it can be for everyone. Is it mean to say I wish HBS felt the same way about SRHK? :(
Martyr 10 Jul, 2016 @ 1:35pm
Right on, I purchased the game just recently and I think I will wait to play it with your fixes and additions (no pressure, lol!). Thanks for wanting to complete your work for your fans! I eagerly await the updates or comments on your progress :steamhappy:
breversa 10 Jul, 2016 @ 8:22am
Good news ! I hope you'll be able to find time to finish your magnum opus ! ^^
Banjo Oz  [author] 10 Jul, 2016 @ 7:55am
Hoi, chummers! After months of waiting without a fix from HBS (see my earlier comments and posts in the bug report forum about not being able to play SRHKEE since the last patch) someone posted a very random suggestion and it somehow fixed the game for me! So I can now play this game on Steam again! Which means... yes, I *CAN* update my mods at long last. Long after most have finished with the game, sadly, but at least I can do better than HBS and not leave my work "almost but not completely finished". ;) Can't promise how long it will take, but all my mods will eventually be updated for the EE when I get the time.
Lampros 3 Jul, 2016 @ 12:26pm
Any plans to address the gear duplication bug that occurs after the Dreamland mission? It basically duplicates companions' gear onto your Stash and makes you lose literally every gear on your Stash.
breversa 14 Feb, 2016 @ 2:32am
Hi !
Do you plan on correcting the spelling of "Semopal" to "Samopal" ? It's slovakian for "machine gun", not a brand name. :-)
ANHimalx11 7 Feb, 2016 @ 3:00pm
Any update on this official bug patch? It will be my first time playing and I don't know if I should apply this patch or just play normally?
duck_db 17 Jan, 2016 @ 1:05am
Hey Banjo, Thank you for your work on this.
I enjoyed running through your version of SR:HK.
One thing I noticed is that equipment I "loaned" to the other runners in my team did not reappear in my stash after a run. IIRC thing were lost if lent in DMS but were returned in DFC. I cannot recall if it happened in core SR:HK but I was miffed when the Steyr assualt rifle disappeared after I lent it to Duncan before the last mission.
My apologies if this was dealt with on Nexus, I could access the comments when I jumped onto http://www.nexusmods.com/shadowrunhongkong/mods/10 via Firefox.
Has anyone else noticed this or am I just 'special' :-)
Navarre 1 Jan, 2016 @ 9:40am
@ Magus Zell: no, I use a vanilla Steam game.

@ Banjo Oz: as I said, I played the game more than 100 hours before applying your mod, and didn't get the bug. I got it as soon as I applied your mod and ceased to have it as soon as I uninstalled it. So my guess is, your mod is responsible. How and why only some people get it, I couldn't say.
Magus Zeal 1 Jan, 2016 @ 8:55am
Anyone having the problems...are you using any other subscribed content? At all?
Foks 1 Jan, 2016 @ 1:25am
It's a really weird thing, basically what happened most of the time all the names etc changed. I had the problem happen first time when trying to enter Walled City, the triad guard there was suddenly named like "kindly_lieutenant" or something to the effect etc. Plus the UI stops working properly so I need to restart.
Banjo Oz  [author] 31 Dec, 2015 @ 8:45pm
These save bug reports kinda stump me, as I've not had a single problem like that. The game itself has lots of bugs, but I don't know if this is something my mod causes (something I'm more than open to, but have no idea *how* as it changes so little) or a co-incidence with it being an engine bug that affects some folks and not others.

As I said before Christmas, I am playing through the whole game to check for bugs (I am up to doing my third run having completed Whampoa and the TV exec party) and will keep checking to try and replicate the bug mentioned. Obviously, due to the holidays, it may be a few days before I can get back to playing, though! :)
Foks 31 Dec, 2015 @ 4:40pm
I've managed to do a grand total of one proper manual save. All the other attempts break the game/scripting somehow, no save is made and game is stuck in a state that forces me to restart. Quicksave and autosave works, oddly enough.
Navarre 19 Dec, 2015 @ 3:36pm
I was using the Steam version too and hit the bug before the Whampoan run. I couldn't save in Heoi, went to the Whampoan run, could save in it, but couldn't save again when I came back in Heoi.

In unrelated news my mobo just died on me and I'm using a replacement PC for the time being, so I don't have access to that game installation and can't check it anymore.
Magus Zeal 19 Dec, 2015 @ 8:19am
I can also give feedback as to manual saves. Done a bunch and never had a crash or bug with them, in any of the games. Including in Hong Kong, with and without the Slap Patch.
Banjo Oz  [author] 19 Dec, 2015 @ 1:11am
An (unrelated, probably) heads up, my fix for the Spirit Fetish was bugged: I'd made a stupid mistake and assigned the wrong label to the bonus so it *still* didn't fix the original HBS bug issue of not giving you the Spirit Contron bonus!

Please update to v1.5 of the Slap Patch and this item should *finally* work correctly now (it is for me when I tested it).
Banjo Oz  [author] 19 Dec, 2015 @ 12:17am
Just a progress update: I've just completed my first "proper" run (Whampoa murders) and returned to Heoi and have had no problems saving or loading yet (have made manual saves every chance I could get and reloaded a few times along the way just to test). I'm using the Steam version (3.0.8).

@Navarre Is this further along than you got when you encountered the bug? If so, this doesn't prove 100% that it's *not* my mod, but I guess there's a chance yours was an unrelated glitch if I've not hit it myself yet.

Will keep testing, as I am enjoying playing through and it's good to test the whole game both to make sure there aren't other bugs from my patch *and* to identify anything else I need to fix in future! :)

Also, is there a chance or way for Steam Workshop mod to get "corrupted" when published? I ask because I'm using "local" versions of my mods while everyone else is using the copy from Workshop. Should I republish both mods?
Banjo Oz  [author] 18 Dec, 2015 @ 6:50am
Thanks for the further feedback. I'm currently playing through from the start and am just about to do the first Walled City run; I've been able to save just fine until now. As soon as I get back from the run, I'll see if I hit the bug too, but I suspect it's one of those items glitching once it pops up in someone's inventory? If I get the same bug, I'll delete those items from the mod and test to see if it still happens.
Navarre 18 Dec, 2015 @ 6:39am
I was using the Steam versions of the files, and the fetish and spell weren't available yet and did not appear in the stores. I noticed the bug the first time after the run in the Walled City to give Bao the message from Auntie, so that's really at the beginning of the game.

Reading the list of changes you made, only a few changes seem to be relevant to the zone at that moment of the game: the Air Barrier spell, the Silver Tech Cyberarm (Basic) and the Robodoc. I checked the stores and they're all available, maybe the problem comes from one of these items.
Banjo Oz  [author] 18 Dec, 2015 @ 4:46am
I am actually about to start a new playthrough of all Hong Kong and was thinking I'd do it with the Slap Patch version I made, so that if the save bug happens to me too, that means it is indeed something in the mod and I will hopefully be able to track it down by removing modded files until the error stops.

Something I wanted to check: are the modded Spirit Fetish or Haste IV spells showing up in stores in your game? I seem to think you were too early to have them appear, but if that is the case than they couldn't be the cause of the bug if they aren't even being loaded into anyone's inventory yet.
Banjo Oz  [author] 18 Dec, 2015 @ 4:43am
@Navarre - I know exactly how you feel about Workshop vs Nexus; you know I upload all my mods there first, right? Given the manual control that gives you, I'd be interested if you or others who use Nexus could test the version there as it means I'd know 100% what version of what was being used at least! :)

Since I'm new to using Workshop (indeed, I rarely play games on Steam when I have other options) there's a chance I just botched something with this version and the way subscribing/auto-updates work.

I will definitely check over those two items, especially Haste IV, for any typos and such.
Navarre 18 Dec, 2015 @ 4:36am
I tend to make hard saves only in Heoi, so that was really a nuisance. I uninstalled the patch for now and started again. I'll stay suscribed to that thread and If you think you've found out where that comes from and want a tester later, just put your new file on the Nexus and tell me about it here, and I'll happily try it for you. I don't like the Workshop much, not knowing where the files are installed and how to uninstall them properly is a big no-no for me usually.
Navarre 18 Dec, 2015 @ 4:36am
No, I'm not using Expanded. I only installed the SRHK Slap Patch and the Shadowrun: Hong Kong (Slap Patch) files, and started a Hong Kong (Slap Patch) campaign.

When I talk about merchant inventory changes I refer to the changes you made in the Haste IV spell and the Spirit Fetish specifically. Since nobody else seems to have run across that bug and the Spirit Fetish change is recent, I figured the bug could have something to do with it. It's only speculation though. The only thing I can say for sure is that I ran into the bug only in Heoi.
Banjo Oz  [author] 17 Dec, 2015 @ 6:48pm
The reason I want to make sure of this is that not only is Expanded the only one with merchant changes (which as you say, seem to match when you get a bug) but if that's what you're using, I strongly suspect the error was due to my Classic Drones (newly added) mod now also being used in the merchant lists for Expanded but it was set to "hidden" until today (hence would be missing in anyone's game)! :(

If you ARE using Expanded, try to see if the save bug still happens (might need a fresh start of that map?) once you've got Classic Drones. If not, then I'm a bit stumped and will need to do more testing.
Banjo Oz  [author] 17 Dec, 2015 @ 6:48pm
Thanks for the report, Navarre.

You mention merchant equipment sheets but if you are using this patch and the "Hong Kong Slap Patch" campaign, there are *no* changes to merchants. The merchant changes are only from using my extra non-vanilla tweaks and are implemented in my "Expanded" campaign version.

Is there a chance you are in fact playing the "Hong Kong Expanded" campaign? The Slap Patch one JUST adds the Slap Patch fixes, while the Expanded one changes a few things such as making SMGs selective -fire, adding classic drones, etc.
Navarre 17 Dec, 2015 @ 4:40pm
Same bug after the mission. I can save during the mission but as soon as I'm back in Heoi, I can't make a hard save anymore. I guess it's something related to the changes in the merchants inventories, since that's where they are and those are the only changes that seem relevant to that zone. I'm playing a shaman, I applied the patch for the Haste IV spell and the Spirit Fetish, but I'm only at the beginning of the game, they're not yet available. So far I only have the Haste I spell.

I verified my cache, uninstalled and reinstalled the patches, no dice. Still can't save properly in Heoi.
Magus Zeal 17 Dec, 2015 @ 3:43pm
That's weird. Well. I'd say it's up to you at that point. It was originally one way but it's been changed for another.
Navarre 17 Dec, 2015 @ 10:43am
Hi. I just applied the patch together with the one for playing the official campaign, and I ran into a bug.

The game couldn't manage to make a hard save when I tried in Heoi. I tried in Ambrose's clinic and in the MTR station, without success. I could do a quicksave or an autosave by quitting with "Save and quit", but the game just kinda hanged up when I tried to make a hard save: I could move my character around but not interact with anything anymore, and trying to open the menu didn't work for a while. When it finally did work, trying to make a save again gave me the message "Cannot save while in conversation". I had to reload and go in a mission area before I could finally make a hard save.

Never got this bug before applying the patch in more than 100 hours of playing, so it's probably the patch. I'll check if it does it again and if it's limited to Heoi or happens elsewhere too.
Banjo Oz  [author] 16 Dec, 2015 @ 10:22am
@Magus Just skimmed through one PnP book I'd missed checking: 3E "Cannon Companion". That one *does* indeed have an entry for a S-E-M-O-P-A-L vz/88V rifle.

Darn, that complicates things now! Maybe "S-e-r-n-o-p-a-l" *was* the typo? "Semopal" *is* closer to "Samopal" after all, which I'm increasingly thinking - like Robin_WH - might indeed have been the original intention mis-typed back in the first 2E Arsenal entry.
