@Shinoshi if any of those other mods reference or change the same entry in the vanilla files as this does for the vanilla thrusters then they will most likely revert the changes this one makes. Try making this a higher priority, but I can’t guarantee that it will work with other thruster mods.
Shinoshi 22 Jul, 2019 @ 6:58pm
i have a few thrust mods, AZ, upgradable, and because this wasn't working for me i have Micro RCS(does dampening) and the Dampening thruster that uses hydrogen. yeah with this mod +AZ and upgradable+turning dampening on acts like holding the reverse thrust(equal accel/decell time. i do have 60 other mods, i have never tried it with ONLY this mod(as the only mod in the list)
Albee12  [author] 26 Jun, 2019 @ 4:59pm
@Shinoshi Are you using vanilla thrusters without any other mod that touches them? Also (probably redundant to ask) you do have inertial dampeners enabled, correct? If other people can verify that would be great.
Shinoshi 26 Jun, 2019 @ 4:35pm
This mod seems broken with or without it installed my ships do not stop.
Kleadron 3 Dec, 2016 @ 4:55pm
lol
Albee12  [author] 3 Dec, 2016 @ 4:12pm
Ah ok, you made it seem like it wasn't working in DX11, sorry for the confusion :)
Kleadron 3 Dec, 2016 @ 3:58pm
DX9 isnt supported anymore, what i mean is that it works in the dx9 version too.
Albee12  [author] 3 Dec, 2016 @ 2:51pm
@Kleadron Ok so I just tested the mod under DX11, and it is working just fine. Not sure what issue you are having, especially since this should really function independently of what DirectX version you are using (they are really just slight modifications to the vanilla thrusters after all). Is DX9 even still supported at this point? Didn't see any other option in the graphics settings...
Kleadron 3 Dec, 2016 @ 11:16am
@Albee12 can you label this as DX9 only? i want DX9 players to be able to use it too, and then a newer DX11 version
Albee12  [author] 3 Dec, 2016 @ 7:14am
@Kleadron Thanks for the heads-up, I'll check it out when I get home later.
Kleadron 2 Dec, 2016 @ 10:12pm
This only works for the DX9 version of Space Engineers, DX9 for the win.

Update?
Tangent 21 Apr, 2016 @ 12:50pm
These don't seem to work for me anymore after one of these new updates.
Antinov 11 Jan, 2016 @ 10:28pm
I honestly don't know why they took this out. It makes perfect sence thrusters would go over their long term rated maxiumum for emergency breaking. Perhaps if they ever add a need for maintenece we can have the thrusters go over their max in emergencies, but cause self damage as a balance mechanic.
Beats-With-BothHands 30 Dec, 2015 @ 9:24am
my idea was more or less and artificial mass block that works in reverse, kind how Element zero works in the ME univirse. Reduces the mass of a ship so a ship dosnt requires as many thrusters to function.

because people have already made a thruster tier mod that makes upgrades to thrusters to the point they actualy work on planets but this game aint got enough of the Effect
Albee12  [author] 30 Dec, 2015 @ 7:56am
@WREX I agree with your suggestion. Perhaps we could "upgrade" vanilla thrusters to regain this functionality?
Beats-With-BothHands 29 Dec, 2015 @ 9:01pm
i have idea related to Mass Effect to make people able to build something that sort of does this. And thank you all my for looks builds can now sort of function again
Elkstone 27 Nov, 2015 @ 5:47pm
@GreyWolfMax the point is they changed it to be more realistic and it makes ships look like crap sticking 20 thrusters to the front of them
Ruphite 14 Nov, 2015 @ 8:55am
@Albee12 hey Can you check out this? http://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=552576009
I'll give you a shoutout
Ruphite 14 Nov, 2015 @ 8:50am
@Albee12 Shout out to veterans! woo! (wait... Planets + this mod = holy shiznuts)
Iraneth 14 Nov, 2015 @ 5:27am
this is good with the speed of light mod!

@Megertron3 Glad to be of service. Not all heroes wear capes! Shoutout to all the vets today in the US!

TRULY A HERO LIVES YET! THANK YOU

@DeltaDestiny I'm afraid I have minimal experience with the code, and therefore have no idea how to create new blocks. What function would a heat exchanger perform exactly?
Delta 10 Nov, 2015 @ 6:33am
Thank you how about you add a 2nd block called a heat exchanger?
to allow them to over preform.

You, saved me!
The Great D.P.S.S 30 Oct, 2015 @ 4:52pm
Woah albee, he's just asking.
BCMortis 29 Oct, 2015 @ 6:24pm
@Wertopo Cause some of us enjoy building more sci-fi like things without needing to worry about most of the front our ships being taken up by thrusters.
Albee12  [author] 29 Oct, 2015 @ 5:09pm
@Wertopo It is intended for those who do not wish to play with the updated inertial dampener mechanics. If you have an issue with that and/or prefer the new mechanics, please do not complain about this mod. You are not required to download and use it, so please do no condemn it.
Greisyn 27 Oct, 2015 @ 5:44am
will try again but it wasnt auto-pilot, they just shut completely off. Tried manually firing thrusters and nothing, there wasn't even a blue "thrust" effect.. eather case ill try again...
Albee12  [author] 27 Oct, 2015 @ 4:53am
@Razorwire BCMortis is correct, there have been reports of some ship systems randomly becoming uncontrollable, including thrusters. Try reloading the save with the mod enabled, it should not break thrusters by itself.
BCMortis 26 Oct, 2015 @ 6:58pm
@Razorwire People have been reporting bugs where ships act like an auto-pilot has been turned on, thrusters and/or gyros not responding, since the last update, and their ship not responding till they reload the save. Might have been what happened.
Greisyn 26 Oct, 2015 @ 4:06pm
this mod breaks thrusters, mine went completely offline but when i uninstalled the mod they were fine..
Rylo704 25 Oct, 2015 @ 10:45pm
Thank you! I was waiting for this to come out!
derrasthy 25 Oct, 2015 @ 1:57am
Sehr angenehmes arbeiten wieder. Danke. :steamhappy:
BCMortis 24 Oct, 2015 @ 6:46pm
It wasn't the jetpack's inertial dampeners that were changed. Instead, you now have to carry around hydrogen tanks in order for them to even work.
Albee12  [author] 24 Oct, 2015 @ 4:45pm
Confirmed: the jetpack dampeners were not changed by the update. Please see changelog.
Albee12  [author] 24 Oct, 2015 @ 2:53pm
Also I just finished my second mod which reverts battery grinding to pre-01.105, i.e. power cells again instead of scrap!
Albee12  [author] 24 Oct, 2015 @ 2:53pm
Updated with an attempt to fix jetpack braking, though I'm starting to think it wasn't changed in the last update. Can anyone confirm whether this was changed in last update? While testing I didn't notice much difference with jetpack.
Mojo 24 Oct, 2015 @ 9:59am
I haven't had much time to play since the update..I saw the mention of the inertia change..I will use this once I do get a chance to play though. :)
Albee12  [author] 24 Oct, 2015 @ 9:06am
Thrusters on small ships were in fact lowered to 5x, only large ship thrusters were 1x, but I reverted both to 10x. 5x was a pain though in small ships, especially if you tried to use a large thruster with the rest as small thrusters. My next goal is to bring back the dampeners on the jetpack.
BCMortis 24 Oct, 2015 @ 6:44am
Thanks! It's already enough of a pain to try and find space on the front of large mining ships to put thrusters with the old 10x force.
Strayed 24 Oct, 2015 @ 1:55am
Actually, the update lowered to x5 from x10 inertial damp for the small ships, only large ships have x1 inertial dampener, for now
Primal_DLove 23 Oct, 2015 @ 10:49pm
@The Witch, 5x would be a good middle ground if anyone could do it. could have stepped inertial force ratings in different thrusters, from 1x up to 10x
Mojo 23 Oct, 2015 @ 7:29pm
Nice! I thought they lowered it to 5x, didnt realize was down to 1x! Ouch..
