Fiona Danger  [author] 3 Feb, 2016 @ 11:05pm
@rothsky - Unfortunqately I have no control over the resource spawning mechanics. Please go yell at Firaxis for the both of us.
rothsky 3 Feb, 2016 @ 11:04pm
Pity no strategic resources

@Armenia - So... This map with like three tiles north and east? Nah.
Uro 10 Dec, 2015 @ 5:12pm
You should do one of the greater middle east all the way up to the armenian highland, right to pakistan, down to egypt and libya and left to turkey

I love the map, but for some reason strategic resources are non existent. I've covered a big chunk of land and talked to 8 other civs, and have found 0 traces of iron. Is this intentional, or is there something I messed up?
Fiona Danger  [author] 8 Nov, 2015 @ 9:05pm
@jimmyyang3000 - due to locked size constraints, and a personal need to fit a specific area of land in it this one IS stretched about a fair bit. That was done on purpose to fit what had to.
jimmyyang3000 8 Nov, 2015 @ 6:34pm
I really like your maps, but this one seems flattened for some reason.

Lungora, do you have an Earth map? cant find it. your maps look detailed and well done. Not any good "entire" earth maps out there :/
Jason Wolf 21 Sep, 2015 @ 10:37am
I tried but when I try to find the map in game I can't find it.
Fiona Danger  [author] 21 Sep, 2015 @ 6:41am
@Kesler - It's a tad more than just Egypt, and doesn't reach far enough South...

@Anyone - Also, I would highly suggest using a 43 or 60/62 civ dll to populate my larger maps - they're bigger than they look.

@ Kesler - :P
Kesler 21 Sep, 2015 @ 6:29am
This is perfect for the recent Battle of the Nile Civ release
Fiona Danger  [author] 16 Sep, 2015 @ 9:37pm
@Jason Wolf - Oh, sorry. I missed one part. You're going to have to extract the .civmap file out of the compressed mod.
Jason Wolf 16 Sep, 2015 @ 3:24pm
I put it there but i cant find it.
Fiona Danger  [author] 15 Sep, 2015 @ 6:26am
@Jason Wolf - Assuming Windows, it would have to be placed in 'Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization V/Maps' to work.
Jason Wolf 15 Sep, 2015 @ 6:10am
If I download this manually were does it go?
Techno☆ 12 Sep, 2015 @ 2:36pm
Thanks!
Fiona Danger  [author] 12 Sep, 2015 @ 9:29am
@Technostarbtd5 - Yes, but not the memory needed to remember to post the link. Just download then srag to your MODS folder.
Here it is: http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=22345
Techno☆ 12 Sep, 2015 @ 6:55am
@Lungora do you have the link yet?
Fiona Danger  [author] 10 Sep, 2015 @ 5:12pm
@technostarbtd5 - I'm personally running a 60civ dlll. I can get you a link for it in about 12 hours.
Techno☆ 10 Sep, 2015 @ 1:48pm
@Lungora, do you know of any way to have more than 43 civs in a map using a mod? YnAEMP only allows 43 major civs, but the game's mechanics theoretically could support 63.
Fiona Danger  [author] 8 Sep, 2015 @ 1:46am
@general_james - Aye it would, but as for me, I'm just a map-maker with no skill in code but reading it to understand the basic properties. While there are already made mods for civs enough to fill the region too, one would have to either use the exact version of each and every one I build a scenario with - or I have to package the whole lot into the mod, such requiring gaining induvidual permissions from a whole multitude of modders. Such a case if something I personally, with study in the way, cannot be bothered to do. If someone else really wants to put aside a couple dozen hours to make a very polished (<-Big thing here, slapping a few shoody-looking G&K mod civs onto it, uploading, and calling it a day is not enough) modpack centered around any of my maps; feel free to do so. (With credit, ofc)
general_james 8 Sep, 2015 @ 1:32am
@El Perro and Lungora - first off, very impressive work. I think adding in a multitude of custom civs for the eras or the region. Im sensing a very robust crusader kingdoms and its rivals would help to fill in the areas and create some good conflict.

mmk
Fiona Danger  [author] 6 Sep, 2015 @ 8:47pm
@Jappy-San of Nanking - I have favoured Gameplay and aesthetics over realism, some parts will tend to be off slightly due to such. I'm sorry if this affects much.
Niishjaa 6 Sep, 2015 @ 6:06pm
I just noticed Israel is a little messed up. The gulf of Aqaba is too high up and Eliat is under water.
Foxxedhound 5 Sep, 2015 @ 4:24pm
Re-Levant!
Fiona Danger  [author] 5 Sep, 2015 @ 4:53am
@ El Perro - While it sounds great on paper, this map makes the default 22 civ cap feel less than satisfactory, 43 kinda barren, and 60 is comfortable but still with plenty of spare space. The 7 (10 if you squeeze Greece, Carthage, and Rome in) vanilla civs that *would* fit are just too sparse to make an enjoyable match.
big ♥♥♥♥ theory 5 Sep, 2015 @ 4:46am
Just a quick question. Would it be possible for there to be a realistic setting of this map, containing only the civs which are from this area, for example: Arabia, Egypt, Persia, etc...

Thanks! :steamhappy:
Fiona Danger  [author] 5 Sep, 2015 @ 2:11am
@ El Perro - I wish. Sadly I get crashes too much at this scale on Worldbuilding already, and I'm working just short of the hard size cap (120-ish by 200-something is the max, this one is 94x180). Creating such a massive map as this scale for the whole world is simply impossible on Civ V - as much as we'd all love such a thing.

I hope to eventually have enough maps to cover the whole Earth's surface; but combining from that point would only be possible in Photoshop, not Worldbuilder, realistically.
big ♥♥♥♥ theory 5 Sep, 2015 @ 2:07am
Combine all of your maps into one mega Earth map!

MegaCivGames get hyped!
