^ Vanilla spawns for Quetzals just so everyone is aware, it seems only 4 are spawning ever. They have the spawn rates for the new dinosaur set extremely low. So, if you are having trouble finding them its because there are 4 out of 20k dinosaurs.
So there you go guys, until he changes his mind, does it himself, or he lets another author color them I can't do anything. I at least figured I would give you guys an update on it regardless.
Option 1: Keep the mod the way it is and lose out on colored carnos, raptors, and rexs, but have normal spawning alphas aka no custom spawns and get to enjoy newly added dinosaurs without having to wait for the devkit to be updated.
Option 2: Make changes to the mod so that you guys will have colored carnos, raptors, and rexs, but alphas will not spawn normally. They will need custom spawns made to allow them to spawn, this will also cause it to where when a new dinosaur is added it will not spawn in and you will have to wait until the devkit is updated and I add it to this mod.
I will allow for 24 hours to pass from when I post this to allow for feedback and voting on this.
Or have colored variants of carnos, raptors, and rexs then have no alphas initially and I have to make custom spawns to get alphas to spawn again. Doing it this way will also make it to where newly added dinosaurs will not spawn in until they are added to the mod.
Either way you look at it currently you lose something. Not to mention custom spawns make the mods less compatible with other mods.
My friend and I are just worried about what could happend, cause might lose all of our dinosaur and thats a lot of days realtime.
Unfortunatly it looks like we cannot join our privat server anymore cause the mod doesn't exist anymore on steam. Don't know at all why our games are always updating all mods through steam while the server got the same mods like my/our game has.... totally strange. Maybe I'm just missing something at the Ark Server Manager
So we are just waiting to see your mod again the next days ;)
If you take this personally or as I am trying to screw over people who sub to my mod, then so be it. I have already had several people message me on steam cursing and plain out trash talking me. I originally made the Color Variety Mod for personal use, but decided heck why not let other people use it to. Then you guys requested a realistic version and I did my best to provide that as well.
So, in the end use the mods or don't. If you do not like how I do things or my mods in general, there is a steam workshop full of other color mods. I do the best I can and that is good enough for me.
Also resolved the dino damage/resistance stuff. I am a numpty who didn't look at things properly :P Super dodos once more!
Welcome to add me so we can attempt to get to the bottom of this if needed.
I run no other mods, just this one.
