A shame mutation mods are so outdated. This is the ONLY thing missing in my life right now because my luck with wild and breeding mutations is absolute trash!

Has anyone tried this recently? There are a lot of old old mods that still work and are my faves so I'm always happy to find more

"... if enough people show their support for the color mods..." *shows support for the mods* :steamhappy:
GORESPLASH 25 Feb, 2016 @ 2:22am
Sorry to see you go and looking forward to your return. Like Raulkor said, it's the best color mod out there.
Raulkor 1 Nov, 2015 @ 12:31pm
btw, what's the best way to show support for your mod. I hate to be the one to tell you, but it's still the best option out there for adding color to dinos. You originally posted that you'd leave this up for only 3 days. Have you decided to leave it up indefinitely just without updates? (which I'd be ok with).
Raulkor 31 Oct, 2015 @ 1:55pm
If only the Dynamic Color Mod was a clean and mod was architected similar to yours. Unfortunately, my experience is that since it's not clean anyone using that mod won't have skelesaurs. :( Miss your mod, but understand your frustrations.
Vmomo 21 Oct, 2015 @ 5:37pm
Once i remove your mode, the game crashed , when i use your mode, everthing is fine. Is that mean i can't remove forever?
Nyremis  [author] 16 Oct, 2015 @ 7:04pm
Read 2 posts down and there is your answer.
CherryPop 16 Oct, 2015 @ 6:59pm
it seems that with the new breeding in the base game, the colored dinos will not breed, yet the ones i spawn in vanilla will breed. is there a fix for this?
KailIzzraham 16 Oct, 2015 @ 12:36am
Thanks, I should have known that LOL. I know with anything NEW the Dev Kit is usually the thorn in the mod developers side.
Nyremis  [author] 16 Oct, 2015 @ 12:24am
Its a major change to the game and I have to wait for the devkit to update. Then I can update the mod so that breeding is available for color variety mod dinosaurs.
KailIzzraham 15 Oct, 2015 @ 11:57pm
I am noticing that none of the dinos that were tamed after the color mod was installed will display the Wander to Mate but the dinos that were tamed before the mod do. Is this something that needs to be updated in this mod or do I have to remove the mod for the dino breeding to work correctly?

^ Vanilla spawns for Quetzals just so everyone is aware, it seems only 4 are spawning ever. They have the spawn rates for the new dinosaur set extremely low. So, if you are having trouble finding them its because there are 4 out of 20k dinosaurs.

Hello, everyone Exodus the author of Baby Dinos Mod finally got back to me and said "I'm sorry I don't feel comfortable giving them away." As I would need the Dinosaur Character bps of the babies to make colored versions of them and add them to my color mod.

So there you go guys, until he changes his mind, does it himself, or he lets another author color them I can't do anything. I at least figured I would give you guys an update on it regardless.
Nyremis  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 1:58pm
Hello, everyone I just added random weights to all the colors on all the dinosaurs, this is a testing phase for using weights, so please provide feedback and tell me if you like the changes!
Nyremis  [author] 5 Oct, 2015 @ 1:57pm
@JOP1996 The option stuff has already passed, the one that was used is in the description. It was a choice for how the next update of the mod would be. I ended up taking the good from both option 1 and option 2 to create option 3.
SloppyJoppy 5 Oct, 2015 @ 7:54am
so what is this option stuff about?
dawioo64 30 Sep, 2015 @ 5:49am
When the update do?
Nyremis  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 10:17am
Welp, first time spawning in North 3 I think and the cold killed me extremely fast, haha. Second time around dire wolfs jumped my face and I was dead yet again. So, I would say the new update to my mod is working as intended.
Doughnut 28 Sep, 2015 @ 3:28am
Epic nicely done ^_^ I am testing now \o/
Nyremis  [author] 28 Sep, 2015 @ 3:11am
:) Option 3 is V0.06C
Doughnut 28 Sep, 2015 @ 2:10am
Oh Option3! :D
KailIzzraham 27 Sep, 2015 @ 8:11pm
I like the sound of Option 3
KailIzzraham 27 Sep, 2015 @ 10:34am
So...basically all the colored Rex's, Carno's and Raptor's we had tamed are forever gone? If so please let me know so I can inform my players as they are not to happy about it. We had the Alpha's disabled on our server from the start. LOL
Doughnut 27 Sep, 2015 @ 8:53am
I will take option 2 please :)
Raulkor 26 Sep, 2015 @ 11:05pm
I may have been vague there. I vote for option #1.
Raulkor 26 Sep, 2015 @ 11:05pm
Option 1. Currently the devkit isn't updated enough. Going with Option 2 would mean the server won't have new dinos for potentially 3-7 days. ouch!
Elliria 26 Sep, 2015 @ 9:09pm
Option 1 Frankly. Id rather lose out on some special colored things to get everything fixed for future patches.
Mrwinnie 26 Sep, 2015 @ 7:12pm
Opt. 2
BiOniC 26 Sep, 2015 @ 4:03pm
Our server is for Opt. 2.. so either 1 vote for server, or about 30 for each person :P
Gray 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:30pm
Option 2# please I don't have a problem with not alphas at all, but I do have a major problem with vanilla rexs, carnos, and raptors - Thx
Nyremis  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:03pm
Ok, I am gonna go ahead and provide my subscribers with 2 choices and I will allow 24 hours to pass and see what everyone wants for the most part and choose the choice that has the my votes.

Option 1: Keep the mod the way it is and lose out on colored carnos, raptors, and rexs, but have normal spawning alphas aka no custom spawns and get to enjoy newly added dinosaurs without having to wait for the devkit to be updated.

Option 2: Make changes to the mod so that you guys will have colored carnos, raptors, and rexs, but alphas will not spawn normally. They will need custom spawns made to allow them to spawn, this will also cause it to where when a new dinosaur is added it will not spawn in and you will have to wait until the devkit is updated and I add it to this mod.

I will allow for 24 hours to pass from when I post this to allow for feedback and voting on this.
Nyremis  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 2:46pm
Well, sadly it appears reverting the carnos, raptors, and rexs to vanilla versions have caused any tamed ones to disappear. This is an unexpected side effect, but at this point its either lose those tamed dinosuars, but have alphas working, and when new dinosaurs get released they will spawn in before I update the mod itself.

Or have colored variants of carnos, raptors, and rexs then have no alphas initially and I have to make custom spawns to get alphas to spawn again. Doing it this way will also make it to where newly added dinosaurs will not spawn in until they are added to the mod.

Either way you look at it currently you lose something. Not to mention custom spawns make the mods less compatible with other mods.
Whiskey 26 Sep, 2015 @ 11:47am
Well there goes days of work, all rexes, carnos, and raptors are gone after update....
BiOniC 26 Sep, 2015 @ 9:23am
Updated from the previous version to the new one. All colored, tamed rex's and carno's are gone. :(
Sabina96 26 Sep, 2015 @ 8:26am
Im currently working the latest version of the colour mod on my private server. Everything is working, new coloured dinos are spawning and i still have my dinos, he lost all his work that he had done so just give him time. I dont understand how you cant find it on steam, as ive got it still just fine.
Hakuro 26 Sep, 2015 @ 6:44am
I never ever thought something bad about that. I was just wondering. So please calm down. It's nice of you to share your work.
My friend and I are just worried about what could happend, cause might lose all of our dinosaur and thats a lot of days realtime.
Unfortunatly it looks like we cannot join our privat server anymore cause the mod doesn't exist anymore on steam. Don't know at all why our games are always updating all mods through steam while the server got the same mods like my/our game has.... totally strange. Maybe I'm just missing something at the Ark Server Manager

So we are just waiting to see your mod again the next days ;)
Sabina96 26 Sep, 2015 @ 6:01am
[h1]ive never had a problem with your mod, and i love my dinos in all their colourful glory, please keep up the good work and fuck the haters[/h1]
Nyremis  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 5:58am
Just so everyone is aware. This whole "Me pulling down the color mods off the steam workshop" thing is because I lost both of my color mods when I updated the devkit, so I had to make them both from scratch. I was also trying to get the GUID and steam ID to work again, hence why they are not visible to subscribers for a bit. On top of that I am testing them to make sure everything works.

If you take this personally or as I am trying to screw over people who sub to my mod, then so be it. I have already had several people message me on steam cursing and plain out trash talking me. I originally made the Color Variety Mod for personal use, but decided heck why not let other people use it to. Then you guys requested a realistic version and I did my best to provide that as well.

So, in the end use the mods or don't. If you do not like how I do things or my mods in general, there is a steam workshop full of other color mods. I do the best I can and that is good enough for me.
Hakuro 26 Sep, 2015 @ 5:11am
Oh didn't know you have to take it completly off to update it. Looked like it was completly deleted from steam. Thx for the info
Nyremis  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 5:06am
@Hakuro, I am working on getting the update out for the Real Colors Mod.
Hakuro 26 Sep, 2015 @ 4:53am
What happend to the Real Color Mod? Wanted to update it, but isn't available anymore on steam oO
Jimmy NoShoes 26 Sep, 2015 @ 4:28am
Updated mine with no issues :)

Also resolved the dino damage/resistance stuff. I am a numpty who didn't look at things properly :P Super dodos once more!
Lu 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:56am
ok i was having alot of problems trying to remove the other colors mod..I fear that I have to restart the server fresh. I will put this one into it.
Nyremis  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:53am
@twitch.tv/xolubu79ox Yes, it is. I literally rebuilt the both of my color mods from the ground up to work out some kinks. It uses the same Mod ID and everything. It should also update and work fine with the previous version's dinosaurs.
Jimmy NoShoes 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:53am
No joy I am afraid. World spawned dinos are ignoring damage/resistance settings for their individual types. Anything I spawn in manually however, doesn't. Manual spawns ignore the color mod effect.

Welcome to add me so we can attempt to get to the bottom of this if needed.
Lu 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:48am
@Nryemis Is this the new version to varity colors mod you previously had?
Nyremis  [author] 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:23am
@Jimmy NoShoes Can you try the newest update to this mod? I essentially reworked this mod and you should definitely be able to adjust dino resistance settings.
Jimmy NoShoes 26 Sep, 2015 @ 3:04am
No problem. I tested it with the mod, and then re-tested after removing. The mod definitely prevented the game from using individual dino resistance settings (ones put in the game.ini).

I run no other mods, just this one.
Nyremis  [author] 25 Sep, 2015 @ 6:02am
@Jimmy NoShoes I would need to see if other people are having this problem, I mean I have changes to dino resistance and damage on my private server that is running this mod and it makes changes just fine to the dinosaurs.
