Is this mod always up and fontionaly with DS ?
Dark 20 Oct, 2015 @ 8:09am
tks for this "cheat t.maxfps 10" killwilddinos was crashing my server this helped greatly :)

and joan must you go into every mod and say its pointless...it may be pointless for you but not everyone else
Drathek  [author] 7 Oct, 2015 @ 9:52pm
Joann, that would be correct. However in some sense this destroys the dinos in a different fashion than the command, but as long as the user has a capable machine they should not see any difference.
YMD 7 Oct, 2015 @ 4:26pm
Since the devs took this idea and made it their own, is this mod still relevant since admins can wipe wild dinos with simple server command now?

Outstanding tool, Worked as stated the very first time with no BS. Killed my 65k+ dinos and
allowed me to refresh my higher level spawns. Great Job Dev!!
Tex 8 Sep, 2015 @ 4:26am
Hey Drathek, it looks like the developers were paying attention and are adding a new console command with your mod's functionality! :)
knowt 7 Sep, 2015 @ 2:11pm
:) Think i figured it out. just used on a test server/single player looks good.
knowt 7 Sep, 2015 @ 1:56pm
I'd like to check this out, but Im confused on how to install it.. I have a server hosting with another company, I have FTP access but no access to the machine direct. How Would i go about installing this? or is it just installed to my pc?
Dr_Knives 7 Sep, 2015 @ 2:35am
Really awesome mod man! helped me out with getting rid of 35k dinos and kept all of my dinos!
F3n3K 5 Sep, 2015 @ 10:28pm
Very usefull mod, thanks to this dev to do that, it's cool to reset all dinos not tamed after a patch or import of dinos mod !!!! Thanks soo much. Hope you continue to update it
Drathek  [author] 31 Aug, 2015 @ 5:22pm
DoRkcHoPs, Yes it should as long as the mod is inheriting from the same class all the other dinos in the game inherit from: DinoCharacterBP
DoRkcHoPs 31 Aug, 2015 @ 12:09pm
does this work deleting other untamed dino's that may be specific to certain mods?
golddiamond2541 29 Aug, 2015 @ 8:50pm
Aside from server kicking/disconnecting players a few seconds after the wipe starts, it works perfectly and is a very invaluable tool for server admins everywhere. Keep up the good work :)
GrimRe@per 29 Aug, 2015 @ 5:11pm
Awesome Mod! Great utility and safe to use! Much better than the lousy Ark Reborn Crap where authors threaten users and delete posts when ark reborn is Crashing servers every 60 mins. :steamsad:
Tex 29 Aug, 2015 @ 7:29am
Still works like a charm! Great for when a new patch comes out and you want to clear up the island so that newly-added creatures can spawn.
Drishtan 28 Aug, 2015 @ 11:22pm
Great mod!
Drathek  [author] 28 Aug, 2015 @ 11:10pm
Tex, there shouldn't be any problems but I always have my steps include backing up so you can revert if it did something you didn't want (which would likely only be either massive lag, or you killing tamed dinos that were not in a tribe). I haven't updated the description in a bit since its been pretty busy week for ARK :P
Tex 28 Aug, 2015 @ 7:05pm
Still compatible with savegames?
Bones 26 Aug, 2015 @ 2:53pm
lol love the hitchiker reference
Drift Daddy 26 Aug, 2015 @ 4:19am
I would appreciate if you updated, keep up the good work!
Drathek  [author] 25 Aug, 2015 @ 5:10pm
Solrik, unfortunately there are no other variables I have to work with to detect whether they are wild or tamed, however I have intentions of adding a new module that adds a temporary beacon (like survivor tracker in SOTF) to all detected tamed dinos. This is intended to aid administrators in finding lost dinos (the user should use transponders), but it could also help you confirm what dinos are being identified as safe from genocide.
Drathek  [author] 25 Aug, 2015 @ 5:07pm
GWT, Yep that sounds about right - its really hard for the server/singleplayer client to deal with widespread wiping like this. If I make the wipe slow, I am concerned with how the spawn distribution will end up, but maybe that wouldn't be bad. What I could do is have an optional slow one, but honestly the solution you have for just reducing the dino count temporarily is probably better. I could try having my mod adjust the value but it cannot dynamically change it (assuming the gameusersettings.ini doesn't override it to begin with) so at best when the mod is loaded it will cut the dino count, and then when it is uninstalled it would return, but I think that is a less than perfect solution. Thanks for letting me know your experience using the mod :)

I finally got it to successfully wipe and respawn with a simple little workaround. Before attempting to use the DinoWiper utility I set the DinoCountMultiplier to 0.001, that way the server wouldn't halt up on the initial respawn of dinos all at once. Then you can just put the dino count multiplier back to 1.0 or whatever you had it at. When you next start the server and it handles the spawning much smoother as it would when you create a new world. I know nothing about modding ARK or the way it's server software functions but if the dino count multiplier could be dropped by the utility before it wipes, then raise the multiplier back to it's original state in increments, it would be much more efficient.

Nice, thanks worked like a charm. Initially it cleared everything, my tamed dinos included... but then I read about the "Tribe" part, and made a tribe of 1, and tried again. Very nice. Thank you.
Ar-Kane 23 Aug, 2015 @ 1:55pm
lol yeah i was forgetting the cheat part lol thanks
Drathek  [author] 23 Aug, 2015 @ 1:41pm
The command I gave in comments is a different command... Its a incorrect command, but I was curious if it worked... On a server you must also type "cheat " and then paste the command. IE: cheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/DinoWipe/PIS_WildDinoWiper.PIS_WildDinoWiper'" 1 1 false
Ar-Kane 23 Aug, 2015 @ 1:04pm
i copied my save to my single player folder then spawned in the item and put it in a chest and then copied the save back to my dedicated server and logged in and the item is still in the box so the mod is active ... the command to get the item just isnt working on the server
Ar-Kane 23 Aug, 2015 @ 1:03pm
yes im loged in as admin and i copy paste the command just as its listed in the mod description
Drathek  [author] 23 Aug, 2015 @ 12:23pm
I use the same tool to test, so what about the other things I mentioned? :D
Ar-Kane 23 Aug, 2015 @ 11:13am
Yes the mod is installed correctly i use the super ark server manager ... the official server manager made by the devs
Drathek  [author] 23 Aug, 2015 @ 11:10am
Ar-Kane, It works on my dedicated server. Are you sure that the mod folder 469987622 and the 469987622.mod are inside ARKServer\ShooterGame\Content\Mods? Also are you logged in as admin and preceded the command with "cheat" on the server? Otherwise let me know if you can place the structure with: giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/469987622/PIS_WildDinoWiper.PIS_WildDinoWiper'" 1 1 false
Ar-Kane 23 Aug, 2015 @ 6:24am
the command to get the item works in single player and non-dedicated mode but when i use it on my dedicated server nothing happens :(
