DinoWipe [Depreciated]

Description
"So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish"

This utility object when placed will initiate a scan after 30 seconds for all dinos that do not belong to a tribe, give a prompt of the detected numbers, and then automatically queue their genocide after 30 seconds. Destroy the structure to cancel the genocide. There will be server lag as the dinos respawn.

If you are concerned with the client/server keeping up, consider either "cheat t.maxfps 10" for a bit to give the server more opportunity to spawn dinos or lower the DinoCountMultiplier (requires a server restart) prior to wiping. The server's t.maxfps will reset to default after a restart.

Admins or single player hosts can get the item with this command:
cheat giveitem "Blueprint'/Game/Mods/DinoWipe/PIS_WildDinoWiper.PIS_WildDinoWiper'" 1 1 false

--- Installation ---

Current updated version: Ark 201.5
Mod ID: 504819868
Stackability: DinoWipe only uses one remap array so it can be arranged as low priority as you like.
Save compatibility: The mod is compatible with your current saved world but please ensure you have a backup before using.

To run single player or local host (updates are automatic):
1. Subscribe
2. (Recommended) Backup your save directory: \steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArksLocal
3. Launch the game and select "Host \ Local"
4. Select a map
5. Add DinoWipe to the active mod list
6. Play!

To run on a dedicated server (updates are manual for server admins atm):
1. Subscribe
2. Launch the game and close or minimize after it loads the mod (progress on the bottom right)
3. (Recommended) Backup your save directory: \ShooterGame\Saved\SavedArk####
4. Copy the directory \steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\504819868 and the 504819868.mod to the similar location on your server in the same fashion as the client
5. (Optional) Customize your server's launch parameters to change the map (Skip step 6 if you include the GameModIds as well here - example loads Apako map, TorchBoost, and DinoWipe) like:
ShooterGameServer.exe -MapModId=469987622?GameModIds=478736056,504819868?listen
6. Customize your server's (\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsServer) GameUserSettings.ini to have mod IDs comma separated (no spaces) in order of priority like:
[ServerSettings] ActiveMods=478736056,504819868 ;example only for TorchBoost(priority),DinoWipe(secondary)

Clients that do not have the required mods or map but attempt to connect to the modded server will be automatically subscribed to the mods so they can connect. Running the mod on a newer ARK version should have no issues. If you still need help be sure to read the Server FAQ otherwise comment below.

--- Future Development ---

- Very slow DinoWiper version
- Tribed dino beacon: A way for administrators to find all the tribed dinos

tks for this "cheat t.maxfps 10" killwilddinos was crashing my server this helped greatly :)

and joan must you go into every mod and say its pointless...it may be pointless for you but not everyone else
Drathek  [author] 7 Oct, 2015 @ 9:52pm
Joann, that would be correct. However in some sense this destroys the dinos in a different fashion than the command, but as long as the user has a capable machine they should not see any difference.

Since the devs took this idea and made it their own, is this mod still relevant since admins can wipe wild dinos with simple server command now?

Outstanding tool, Worked as stated the very first time with no BS. Killed my 65k+ dinos and
allowed me to refresh my higher level spawns. Great Job Dev!!

Hey Drathek, it looks like the developers were paying attention and are adding a new console command with your mod's functionality! :)
