well tell me exactly what went wrong and ill see to it, usually when you go to open a map regularly though its always in the file > load tile menu and it usually default saves ur map within the Atlantic mountains tile setting if you didnt choose anything different for the maps tileset.
Ok well your right to extents here, you gota remember though this isnt thier "A" team working on Warhammer , they announced and confirmed it was a back ground team they made up and grew over the years. historical is likly to be announced soon too my money is at Eurocon again but im not to sure but USUALLY they do announcments at EU con , like for Attila for instance and they said they got more history related tws coming still so they can work with both crowds and so that thiers somthing for everyone. and I do agree with attila too , it was what Napoleon was to empire essentially, I just hope this time though they keep this destruction mechanic for all games as I really had TONS of fun with it in this game and love how it just adds to the feeling of a siege, fires burning in the background and obliterating cities to pieces is your heart desires is what I hope stays in TW.
Then they scrounged up the code and put it together into Attila to fill the gap between R2 and Warhammer, which is where CA's A team likely went since it went into devleopment way before R2's launch nearly right after Shogun 2 (Fall of the Samurai's) launch, and R2's team was full of new team members.
yea you basically got it right, they do get destroyed but dont burn unfortunatly due to you gota remember these are rome 2 models therefore the didnt have the destruction mechanic.
I'm going to assume the walls are destructable, but what about the rest of the city? I'm assuming there aren't any fire meshes for the buildings so the *Fire* mechanic likely doesn't work or is super buggy.
Yea definitly a cool idea and ill try to definitly look into it.
Hmm no one else seemed to report this problem and told me it was fine, remember like all other maps right now you gota follow some guidlines to make them work cause AI is still a bit wonky, give them artillary and dont limit thier options to equiptment only and maybe some harder difficulties can help but attack and defend both work, just as of right now not in the most proper ways but thats until we figure out the AI graph in TEd to make it more sophisticated.
unfortunatly I dont think thats possible, im trying to make more Rome 2 style maps though, but do keep in mind I actually am having troubles though with some models and crashes every so often test. some buildings right now are actually causing crashes even if you import correctly and I dont know my way around it. through my current tests on both my next map and my test bench map I concluded so far that Persian walls actually dont work and maybe Egyptian too but that was before my reinstall so i must retest them, thiers also a crasher in Greek buildings but I cant spot the model yet and need more testing.
Haha lol glad u mention that actually, that was one of my pondering ideas, think ill add that to my list , but yea I was thinking about it.
Cannot wait to see what a Carthaginian settlement looks like :)
And show a WIP of a big Carthage settlment that you may do in the future.
Now to have fun!
Me and niether have a lot of others have found out any way of porting maps to a campain and I think I read somwere the campain editor is having some problems so im not surehow to add maps on thier as I found no info on it yet.
Not sure what can really be wrong at the moment I put all texures on here so ill just give my suggestion that i had majior problems with attila of crashes everywhere it prevented progress of other maps that would have came out as well but reinstalation actually worked for me and even though all my other works were gone and progress was for nothing now everything is working for me, still some bugs and crash here and there but definitly not as often and its way more stable now, but yea im not to sure what can be wrong.
I made them using terrain textures and to use multiple textures or change them you go to the maps tile set settings and change the texture groups on thier just be aware some textures dont work well with one another and order of the groups can matter too, 1 bieng primary texture group for ground, then all the way to 4 which is last. for this map for example my texture groups were Settlement 1, Settlement 2, Settlement 3, and Urban. if you do have problems continuing however im not to sure how much i can help but say thier somthing corupt or missing within your TEd.
You know actually technically this is hybrid too cause this map features an easern roman wall instead of the original unfortunatly due to me not finding the original models, i think since thier under same name and thier maybe overiding one another leaving the western roman texture instead of the old roman walls.
