Download this and place the textures in the filepath specified inside the /tf/ directory.

1) Use the program to open up tf2_textures_dir.vpk
2) All patterns are located in materials/patterns/
3) Find the texture that corresponds to the pattern you want to replace by opening them up using VTFEdit
4) Rename the textures I provided to that texture.
Here are a few examples
- to mod the Backcountry Blaster replace solid_green-grey_textured.vtf
- to mod a Current Event replace powerhouse_electric_purple.vtf
