Heh, 3 years too late, but just look at hoi4 and tell me paradox doesn't fuck every mod every single major content update. Other game developers often make an effort or give a heads up to the modding community when they change something extensive, or maybe they just dont bog down the process by adding 10 billion dlc checks. Seriously, imagine developing a mod that deals with dlc mechanics, and then having to also include shit in case someone doesn't own this shit, just another petty step right? Now imagine not actually owning that DLC yourself yet having to develop shit for it or not have the choice at all to develop shit for it and having the quality of your content severely diminished by that dumb shit. Also they have a tendency to change one simple thing that didn't really need to be change, and boom practically everything in the game is un-loced. It's kind of ridiculous.

Seriously? That's your reason? WOW, Just WOW. That is EXTREMELY LAZY! Did you honestly expect them not release major updates whenever they released DLCs? So what if updating after major updates to the game require with a lot of work. Stop whining about it!

I don't care enough to explain, but it's related to the DLCs, Multiplayer, and forcing modders to update every single time they patch. When I complained about this on the forums, they banned me. Need I say more?

exactly how are they unethical? If your talking about the raised prices, they said they would change them after the steam summer sale and couldn't do so before hand. That (at least in my opinion) undoes/counters/negates their unethical action.

Yeah. Sorry. Not gonna waste my time on unethical developers not worthy of your or my money. It's likely that it still works tho, since I didn't tamper with too many files.

@elite9446: The following might have some mistakes since I'm writing by heart and not witht the proper files open open:

You could with a little editing on the savefile. First, open and save a regular file with normal HRE. Then, create your random game. Reset the HRE, wait for other countries to enter the HRE as electors, save and quit. Third, open the first save, look for "HRE = XXX" where X is the name of a country, and copy all that part into the second save file. You can change HRE = to any country that exists. Custom nations start at 001 if I recall correctly, and make sure you pick a christian.

I haven't actually tried this, but if it doesn't work, let me know so I can look into it, or send me the savegame.

Update: Changed the mechanics to join the HRE. Now only countries smaller than the emperor and of the same religion will join. This should fix the issue with losing authority due to heretics and HRE territories held by non-members.

That's strange... Try unziping the file and renaming the folder "Koro's MP Mods 1.12". Then create a new .mod file and copy the following:

If that doesn't work, then your EU4 is corrupted and you might want to try re-installing the game. This is something you should do once in a while with games that update a lot like League of Legends and EU4.

But to be honest, I'd try changing all the other mods you are using to 1.13 and use the beta. It's stable I think they added a few noce things (or recently, I hadn't played EU4 for a while).

I tried manually changing to 1.12, but it keeps saying not compatible because mod is for 0.12; however I checked the file multiple times and it said 1.12, is this fixable?

On both this and the current version of Koro's MP Mods the empire expands itself. I've seen France, Poland, Venice and Teutonic order join, but not on the same game. The Threshold is having a mutual opinion of 150 to start adding provinces.

Thank you so much for updating this Mod. I must ask: you said that Christian nations will try to join the HRE if they like the Emperor enough. Does this mean that HRE will finally expand itself? Did you raise the threshold to join the HRE?

Hi Elite: You can change the file manually to 1.12 or enable the Beta 1.13. To access the Beta, Right Click on Europa Universalis on your Library, select properties and go to the Betas tab.

I tested it on both versions and it works fine.

My game says that your mod is for 1.13, and it says my game is on 1.12.2.0. Why? I wanted to use this mod to add more zest to my games, but now I can't.

I deleted eu4_countries_l_english and text_l_english from your mod, I assume both of these files belong to Autonym Empire? If so, then freechaos2 and free_willy are not localized. I see freechaos2_title and free_willy_title. If both strings are in the files I deleted then nvm :).

Also under free_willy in decisons file you added "#Reroll the religion of every country in the world" but it actually frees all vassals :D

And the idea to that only add small nations to empire is great. With release all vassals decision it's gonna be fun ^^ Can't wait!

Yeah. I was thinking or={ be emperor's religion / be catholic to be able to join}. I'd really like to include the Orthodox religion as an option. I used to be able to play as Byzantines reset the HRE, join as elector, and then try to re-create the Roman Empire using the HRE mechanics. So if anyone has any ideas on that, I'd be more than happy to hear them. :)

I'm not sure how it'll work because it's a DLC that makes league wars a thing, but the emperor always has to be the HRE's state religion; so making it the emperor's would make sense.
unless there is a majority of a heretical religion, in which case, heretics could join too.

Good idea Tode. I will make it so that they'll need the same religion as the Emperor. Should catholics be allowed to join if the Emperor is protestant?

Oh, right. Damn Paradox and the new features... It'll be some time before it will be fixed. To be honest, I'll have to completely re-work the way provinces are added... I have an idea, but I will be able to implement it only during the weekend, but feel free to leave suggestions. :)

What do you guys think about this idea:
-Only small catholic nations will be able to join the HRE
-Nations joining the HRE will add all provinces at once
-Decision to enable, disable and customize who can add provinces and at what rate.

Would that do?

Large nations keep adding their provences to the Empire, but never their capitol. Resulting in a large IA deficit that is almost cant be prevented. The Ai cant even get the first reform. I fell this ruins the dynamic empire if its always loosing huge amounts of IA.

When I was using Succession Wars I just added "is_lesser_in_union = no" to the trigger and it worked fine.

I'd like to point out that monarchy_destroyer will trigger on subjects who are lesser in union and there is now way for them to have a heir :) Is it intended?
