Koro's MP Mods

Description
TL;DR: More religious wars, more reasonable union and vassal management, HRE contracts and expands depending on the Emperor's Actions. American nations get CBs to invade Europe if they grab exploration ideas.

The mod is meant to have high compatibility, and it should work with most mods out there including Dei Gratia, Colonial Expansion, RRL Blind Vote, The Tenth Idea, Hispania Universalis, etc.

Features:
-Autonym Empire Names by josieLOL.
-Wars against heathens slightly increase morale and decrease tolerance.
-Wars against heretics slightly increase discipline and decrease tolerance.
-Religions will spread to neighbooring countries every 50 years or so.
-Missions for Christians and Muslims conquer Mecca, Medina, Rome, Constantinople, Judea, Alexandria and Aleppo.
-Small missionary bonus for holding said cities.
-Small missionary penalties if your religious group loses one of the holy cities.
-HRE expands and contracts depending on the Emperor.
-Decisiom to get out of Regency.
-Heir chances will be decreased by 50% if you have no heir.
-The first 4 PUs will not cost you a diplomatic relationship slot
-Each PU will give you +0,25 legitimacy and -1 prestige
-Improve relations capped at 160 for vassals and PUs, just to balance the OP new expansions
-American nations get CBs to invade Europe if they grab exploration ideas

The mod also adds some simple scenario randomizers:

-Decision to reset the HRE and randomize electors.
-Decision to join the HRE as an elector, after reseting it.
-Free Willy decision to set all vassals free. ♥♥♥♥ you, France.
-Decision to randomize the religion of every nation (it's not as fun as I thought it'd be).

Right now everyone can make most decisions most of the time. If this becomes a problem for you in Multiplayer, let me know and I'll code something to prevent players from trolling the game.

The following is kind of a spoiler because if you know how the mod works, you'll know how to exploit it. Do yourself a favor, and don't. :)

Religious Wars Mechanics

Religions spread every 50 years or so. Since religious revolts are also more common, this can be an effective way to destabilize a heathen country. You can even support them, and force them to convert. Or if heressy advances in your direction, you can grab religious ideas. It will give you a CB to convert mearby heretics, which will also prevent the annoying missionary event from triggering. Also, keep in mind that the event is based on countries, not provinces, so when the protestant wars start, the balance of power can tilt really fast if you let too many heretics live in peace, or if you do not start spreading your religion soon enough.

Dynamic HRE Mechanics

This simple mod adds a few AI decisions that will make them enter or leave the empire depending on the actions of the Emperor. It will also make the AI Emperors to add every single cored province they can to the Empire. Non-christians will remove provinces from the empire very fast, but Christians need to be bullied a little before they decide to leave. Also, nations on the edge of the empire are more likely to leave than the ones in the middle. Borgogne and the Dutch are less likely to remove provinces from the Empire to avoid problems with their scripted events. This will make the Emperor lose power, but he will get a claim on the provinces.

Smaller countries than the emperor who share the same religion as him will join the HRE if they absolutely adore the Emperor, or are a vassal. HRE members will slowly start adding their provinces if they like the emperor, regardless of the country size. This will add Imperial Influence.

When you reset the HRE, 6 random christian countries start a new HRE anywhere on the christian world. Austria is likely to remain in office tho. You can join them, but do it fast.

Succession Wars Mechanics

Your dynasty will not live as long as it used to. But that also means, so will theirs. Controlling 2 or more countries becomes more common, but it also becomes harder to manage. Each PU will not consume a diplomatic slot, but will lower your prestige each month. If you do decide to go after the thrones of Europe, make sure you are able to keep your prestige up afterwards.

In development

I also have a few ideas but haven't had the time to code them. Let me know if you want to help me with:
-A better crusade system (CK2's holy wars for Jerusalem were nice)
-Missions for the other vanilla religions
-Decisions to start and fuel a religious civil war on rivals and enemies
-I also need beta testers. Let me know if you want to try my mods in multiplayer.

Compatibility:
-High. Should work with any mod, even those adding new religions.

Recently fixed bugs:
-The religious spread can stop reformation right on it's tracks. It hardly will, but if it does, try loading a save were you still had reformation centers. This bug has never occured to me, but I added a line of code to leave reformation centers out. If this happened to you, try reloading a save before it happened... That is if you can load anything after Paradox updated to 1.13, har har har.
-Check if it's not in the comment section.

-Giffica: He has been helping me beta test.
-Mayaka and Chris: They made the Autonym Empire that I blatantly stole and deviously incorporated here.
-Lithesis: Helped solve an issue regarding Triggered Modifiers of lesser partners in a union.

Heh, 3 years too late, but just look at hoi4 and tell me paradox doesn't fuck every mod every single major content update. Other game developers often make an effort or give a heads up to the modding community when they change something extensive, or maybe they just dont bog down the process by adding 10 billion dlc checks. Seriously, imagine developing a mod that deals with dlc mechanics, and then having to also include shit in case someone doesn't own this shit, just another petty step right? Now imagine not actually owning that DLC yourself yet having to develop shit for it or not have the choice at all to develop shit for it and having the quality of your content severely diminished by that dumb shit. Also they have a tendency to change one simple thing that didn't really need to be change, and boom practically everything in the game is un-loced. It's kind of ridiculous.

Seriously? That's your reason? WOW, Just WOW. That is EXTREMELY LAZY! Did you honestly expect them not release major updates whenever they released DLCs? So what if updating after major updates to the game require with a lot of work. Stop whining about it!

I don't care enough to explain, but it's related to the DLCs, Multiplayer, and forcing modders to update every single time they patch. When I complained about this on the forums, they banned me. Need I say more?

exactly how are they unethical? If your talking about the raised prices, they said they would change them after the steam summer sale and couldn't do so before hand. That (at least in my opinion) undoes/counters/negates their unethical action.

Yeah. Sorry. Not gonna waste my time on unethical developers not worthy of your or my money. It's likely that it still works tho, since I didn't tamper with too many files.

@elite9446: The following might have some mistakes since I'm writing by heart and not witht the proper files open open:

You could with a little editing on the savefile. First, open and save a regular file with normal HRE. Then, create your random game. Reset the HRE, wait for other countries to enter the HRE as electors, save and quit. Third, open the first save, look for "HRE = XXX" where X is the name of a country, and copy all that part into the second save file. You can change HRE = to any country that exists. Custom nations start at 001 if I recall correctly, and make sure you pick a christian.

I haven't actually tried this, but if it doesn't work, let me know so I can look into it, or send me the savegame.
