Oh it does? I haven't played Small Puzzle myself, so I didn't know that, but that does explain to me where you got the word variation from. Haha I suppose a chemist would call it that from the perspective of their own profession.. regioisomerism would be my guess.

It may be not inspired by someone else puzzle. But it has nearly the same Solution with "small puzzle". This is, what i call a 'Variation'.
In chemistry it would be call 'isomerism'.

Variation? It's a seperate puzzle, not inspired by someone else's. It is quite similar to my own Six Symmetrical Squares though, so I guess it could be called a variation of that one.
