you need them inside another folder, put them in a folder called "css" so it should look like "steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons\css" and then inside that "css" folder there should be materials, models, sound etc folders. Then restart your gmod and it should work.

If you have done the manual install of the textures it won't tick the box, you need to watch a youtube video and put the textures exactly where they say to otherwise it won't work.

Make sure that the content is mounted in the bottom right corner if you own and have installed css otherwise you put the content in the wrong place. https://i.gyazo.com/51664bf3c550db4771f5c955af6290a8.png

Yea you need Counter-Strike: Source, you need to buy it or you can pirate the textures and put them in your gmod materials manually, there a quite a few youtube videos showing you how to do this.

I have purple and black squars everywhere and the massive errors. I dont think any hats or anything is the problem. it mainly every single map you can play

You need Counter-Strike:Source, If you cared to read the description directly above this comment section it clearly states: "This will not fix CSS textures such as map walls or props, For that you need to buy CSS or get the CSS textures another way."

That means you need to get the CS:S textures.
You can get this by purchasing Counter Strike: Source or downloading the textures another "free" way. When I say free I mean pirate the shit.

If you click the green "Subscribe" button all textures including the HUD textures will work. You may need to restart your Garry's Mod after you have downloaded the workshop file. The HUD textures were added in today's update, Thanks for letting me know.
