the spinning wheel is to get the userinput. without the wheel it would only working with the cockpit hotkeys.
But what is with the "3 axis gravity drive" in the Workshop? i think there ist a new working version.
(Let's see if I understand you: is the power generators output not equal at all of the ship? So can you read the nearest generator output to the thruster?)
(an other idea: can you read the hydrogen consumption directly? But then you need hydrogen :/ OR: can you read the hydrogen claim of thrusters without hydrogen consumption?)
yes i could do this, but i don't want to. :)
You can't get thrusters powerInput directly. You have to turn they on/off and look at the PowerOutput from all generators.
Low Difference -> thrusters are off(Player flies not in this direction)
High Difference -> thruster are on (Player flies in this direction or some block is now activate.)
And this for all 6 Directions.
This will not better fly like the Pollywog(in the Past
I would programming something if someone has a new idea to get the WASD Input from Cockpit.
Can you create a script, that is changing the G value of gravity generators according to power consumption of a thruster? So we have a gravity driving system with WASD controll, dampening and without moving parts!
Here is an example, but this is not working now:

In the past you could add blocks to a Wheel.
i've stopped working on this Project, now. Because the wheels turning off at maxspeed. To reactivate the wheels you have to turn left or right or you have to turn on the gravityDampeners. If the Dampener is activate the ship will accelerate and breaks, in turns. Flying is not as smooth as I would wish it.
So I hope the next Update will change that.
Sorry about the late response, I haven't had a chance to fire up SE again until today.

The code on the core prog-block seems to have myseriously gained a hundred lines of code since I last saw it, but this little test world exhibits the same behaviour as my other one.
As far as I can tell, I've followed what was done in the vids, but I hope you can point out where I went wrong.
0: Paste in Pollywog
1: Build reactors for power
2: Build gyros for mouse control
3: Build cockpit. Up is the side the top of the prog block is, Back is the wheel.
4: Set cockpit to control wheels.
4: Set ownership
5: Compile prog block
6: Add groups to cockpit/control station hotbar
7: Use On/Off group to start
8: Zoom off into the distance
(The order for most of these shouldn't matter so long as 5 is done before 7 and 8.)
I'm probably being really stupid, but cross-checking between the test ship and this core piece, I can't tell what I've done wrong. It'll probably seem obvious in hindsight.
i have it calculated.

I hope that you didn't have too much work with it.
I will send you a new Code for your ship via PM.
Tip for your ship: You can add more ArtMass to the GravDrive for bettter acceleration, but over 104m/s your Smallshipgrids will be destroyed.
@101m4n Yes, so it works.

Here is my blueprint: (The ship not completed yet)

I have fixed it.
@laci4321 If you press W the wheel should turn anticlockwise. the Programmable Block should be Up and the Wheel look backwards.

Maybe you can publish your ship. then i can help you more.
I don't know why.

Amazing!!!
In the future it will allow more freedom.
