@zeus_lightning The point of the mod is to make colonies not split arbitrarily at colonial region borders. We haven't really looked at balance for a long time so we will have to do something about it. If you only want the map, though, you can edit the files manually and get rid of the events folder.

okay, thanks, is there a way that I could change this, I play with about 20 people in a really big multiplayer game and with the increased liberty desire from cossacks large colonial nations are impossible to hold as you cant just exspand into europe like during a single player. Thanks for the swift response

@zeus_lightning Inland regions only exist to avoid having players colonize inland provinces without creating a colonial nation (which would be possible if you owned less than 5 provinces on the coast and headed straight inland)

Question, if you have costal colonies and you head inland, how to you get the inland colonies to be their own colonial nation since all bordering colonies will become part of the costal colonial nations?

Just a minor note - when using with a mod that adds colonial regions outside of the Americas ( this one in particular) your new rules for colonial nations being able to expand outside their home colonial region don't apply, for the new colonial regions the mod has added. It still works for the American colonial regions.

I was wondering if you were thinking of adding new formable nations for when the colonies gain independence, because a colonial nation in Texas seems to have the option to form Canada.

Islands will not be added to existing colonial regions outside of their region. All Caribbean islands will be part of the Caribbean CN.

How does it work with islands? For example, I own all the coastal provinces in colonial guyana and I then colonize granada (caribbean), wil it work?

1.1.4 is pretty old and this mod was made for a newer version to begin with but if it worked before it should still work

I haven't tested it but I assume you'll still get the dynamic borders but with the old colonial regions, which means less and more split countries.

Inland regions are meant to be inland only. The reason they exist is to avoid exploiting region-less provinces by building a direct path inland and filling it in, avoiding the creation of a colonial nation.

I think it will be better to add: cauca, popayan and neiva at ecuador to the colombian region.
it will be more realistic and give the region pass to the sea.

Also, the colonial regions showing as "name_name" is not normal. There are other regions from without the mod correctly called "Name Name".

Can you improve the way colonial nations gain independence? In base game one colonial nation = one independent country, but if that was the case we would only have about 6 countries in South America nowadays.
