I like the idea of a hand attack instead of starting him off with a weapon. I'll look into it more towards winter break.

@ Poison Prince I'm still working to find a nice balance, but health and sanity are never permanent issues for this character, it only makes sense that hunger is going to be rough. I am aware it is quite wicked right now, though. I'm doing a playthrough right now, and adjusting it as I go. I just don't reupload it every time I change it a little, I wait until its done. I'll upload a nerfed hunger version tomorrow though so its a bit more playable while I'm testing~

Updated, and balanced. Will be tweaking it a fair bit over the winter break as well. It's going to play a lot harder than it used to. It used to be fairly OP, but now I want you to suffer a little. The training wheels are coming off!

The character is playable however outdated. "Woodies axe" spawns in with Matt in every new game, its on the ground beneath him. I assume its because the mod is not updated :P

Patched so the character is at least playable right now. The meat eating function is not currently working, but other than that I think he's good to go. Sorry for the downtime!

Четкий персонаж для игры ночью. Имеет повышенную скорость ночью, реген ХП, атаку. Но днем очень слаб, сходит с ума и ест только мясо. В кооперативе будет плохим компаньоном

Thanks for the input Kevalan, and I'll definitely be doing plenty of public testing as the rework takes place; it won't be put into place all at one time. That way additional comments and suggestions from people using the character, as well as my own test playthroughs, can help develop the character to what it should be.

That said, the total rework won't be coming for some time as I'm in my third year of university and simply don't have the time to spend on the mod right now.

This is a character I want to play, but I think I need to wait for the rework to be finished. Does the character have to use light to avoid the darkness damage at night? I'm most excited about the sleeping during the day part. Assuming that, I feel it should be mentioned that the novelty would wear off quickly (basically the player won't have to use resources to do things at night, and can see much better) and in order to keep things interesting you need to encourage them to go out during the day sometimes (make sure the coffin takes a lot of hunger to sleep through the whole day, but the daytime damage/sanity damage isn't too extreme, then they have to weigh the situation.)

The bursting into flames mechganic is a bit iffy for me
if you are playing with other players and you die near them they will take unnessasary damage
if you die by the base you will ignite the groups crops and flamable resources
solo it is not a major issue but with friends hes unplayable
perhaps make that option togglable? or make him spawn ashes instead of a skeleton?
otherwise he is a fun character
though why does he have lucy?

Currently, Matt V1.0 is pretty much done. Once 'Matt's Coffin' is implemented, we'll be entering Phase 2.

This is going to involve an entire reworking as to how the character actually plays, because I'm not satisfied with the fact that he doesn't really have any forced downtime and can just run around all day and all night.

Daytime is going to be so brutal that you're going to want to just get all snug and wait it out, unless you're farming nightmare fuel.. and pain. I'm also going to rework how night plays out, to balance with the new daytime. It will be fun.
