during the oreokastro mission, the task won't get completed even tho ive run loops around the city searching for any remaining csat. i can's progress any further, please help! it has been a great scenario so far, so if i could just get help past this part, i would appreciate it.

Radar, Airfield assault, destroy all devices and infantry at the airfield and await reinforcing airdrop of NATO troops, then use a vehicle at the airbase to go to Oreokastro.

1. Wow! The mission is really reach in content and runs smoothly. Guess it was not so easy to do in 2D.
2. I really like your mission design. Very clean and concise, use of standard assets wherever possible, in my experience gives the least of troubles when BIS updates the engine.

3. What was the intended sequence of events: go to the airfield after the radar or should I visit the Norther HQ first? Northern HQ has a task of sleeping over, will it run the game time into the daytime or it's substituted by Oreokastro defense? I played in nighttime yet I turned off the fog yet if it's gonna be no fog after the radar then I'd play as originally designed.

PS I really liked the mission. One of those you enjoy returning to from time to time.

Its an old editor prior to the editor in Arma being what it is - These missions were all made in the old 2D editor and through scripting. MCC SANDBOX allowed on the fly changes to weather and AI etc. and was powerful at the time.

What is MCC? I turned off the fog in the editor yet left the midnight staring time so I'm playing now. Tasks and soryline is superb as always with your works!

The tasks and storyline seem promising (I'm a big fan of JAY13's Thunder 02). Yet for this mission makes me quit soon. Night, very thick fog, grass and patrols strong for this weather make sure you're spotted and killed first. You can save spam but what's the fun. E.g. you can spot skylining enemies at abt. 100m. But to see them against the woods and grass you need to basically bump into them -- 20-30-50m.

Steve - PLayers should spawn with NVGs. Arma has changed some of the coding so this isnt working and im not going to be able to change it back. Give it a minute or two and you'll hit the coastline.

Why is the map blacked out?

When I launch the mission, pressing space to advance leaves me on a fully black screen with 3 flashing white lights (Which I assume must be a submarine?) and the sound of a speedboat engine while it bobs up and down. Nothing is interactable, and I can't even go as far as to open the ESC menu. Any ideas on how to fix this?

MCC Sandbox. Open the menu and check for enemy team assets that are active.

@Aubergine : the mod "Simple Single Player Cheat Menu" makes the Debug options available or allowed during a single player save. The debug option you want is called "spendid camera", but it is *not* shown in the mod menu, but instead is now made available with the menu visible when you press Escape (camera options in the Debug Console window). See the link below.

SIMPLE: you can try the keys CTRL+D which might activate the spendid camera mode.

@JAY13 I installed a mod called something like Simple Singleplayer Cheat but I wasn't able to reveal enemies. Also I don't know the mod I need.

Hmm, seems that some of the AI didnt follow the Waypoint. Opened up the mission in the editor to check, there isnt anything preventing them from reaching the town...

@Aubergine : you must elemiinate all the enemies. In my experience, two enemy soldiers were far away and I could not find them. The map in the following link might help:

HI Dej, nothing about this mission would cause that. All the scripts, models etc. are BIS original items, no mods etc. Id recommend unsubbing to be sure, and re-install.

I honestly don't know what happened, but after seizing the Airfield at the very beginning, I tried to get into a Strider HMG inside a warehouse which broke my models getting into vehicles. I have reinstalled arma several times now but every time I get into a vehicle it now uses the wrong animation, such as using a heli pilot animation in a zamak, and a computer typing animation in a AWC Nyx. Anyone have a solution?

I enjoyed playing through this scenario, even did it twice. Some criticism though: The intro speech is WAY too long, it's like listening the first chapter of an audio book before actually starting the mission and it can't even be skipped. Also, it's too dark, it would be visually more interesting if you could actually see what's going on.

In short, I like playing stealthy and recon so your scenario was pretty cool for that. Unlike some other scenarios, units do not magically spawn on our position. Very immersive also inline with the official campaign. Thanks.

Well... Arma 3 just deleted all my saves for that scenario, because that an Arma 3 tradition since 2013. I will rate up your scenario anyhow. Wanted to finish it today, but Bohemia never bothered to fix that rather violent destruction of saves for 7+ years.

Also, I do not know if it is related to your scenario, but without NV, the world is pitch black and a thermal scope I found on a marksman does not seem to work. It make it almost impossible to spot the two idle AI. If it is in the scenario settings, may I suggest making very very dark, but not 100% darkness.

Solution : I used the mod "Simple Single Player Cheat Menu" to enter debug console camera and spot the lost/braindead AI. :deadsheep:

Hello,
I am at the "defend Stronghold village" part. I destroyed an Ifrit and all infantry... but task is never ended. I searched the village and ran around three times, not in stealth and I even fire without a suppressor all over to try and find a probable lost enemy. Any ideas?

Hi, thx for getting back to me; nope, but I found the problem... one enemy soldier was >standing< "inside" one of the cars parked in the garage at the airfield; nearly invisible. Killed him and done.

I don't get it... I blew up the radar dome, blew up the "device"/truck in the hangar at the airfield, but the mission to capture the airfield still stands.
But there are no enemy soldiers in the base or the near vicinity?
Is the 1st mission finishted or what?
