@SaberLove I just managed to get into the game and tried this mod again. I am still getting Kazuto's portrait running, with his background and armor still shown properly. So I am not sure whether it is a possible mod clash with other non-Koihime mods you are using, or not. But everything seems fine on my end.

@SaberLove are you using other mods besides the Koihime ones? It is possible there might be some clashes but I don't think it should be that likely. I have not checked it yet, but will do when I have the time. It might be an update issue, but I am not sure.

Does the broken character have a unique background and armor still?

Yes. The submod is at the very top of my load order. If it’s not a mod issue, it’s probably on my end, so please don’t worry about it. Thank you, as always, for the excellent mod.

@SaberLove you have the submod on top? And it still causes a clone spawn? I might have to check again later.

Some of the female characters are required to be "male" designated so that same gender marriage can be initiated in-game. Or some factions require the ruling family to be male-designated for the faction mechanic to work. Like the Shi clan.

I'm using the 194 AD mod that adds Xiang Yu & Liu Bang–era characters, and I've placed it at the very top of my mod load order. I tested it only with the Karin faction.

Also, I’m planning to do a heterosexual marriage rather than a same-sex one. In that case, is it okay to change a general who’s currently flagged as male to female?

@SaberLove the 15 or so characters that are designated as "male" will remain "male" as same gender marriage does not work for the specific character pairings. And as for the generic clone, which faction are you playing and where did you place this mod in the load order? Is it above the main Koihime Musou Extended mod?

The event triggers correctly, but a generic clone officer is recruited instead of Hongou Kazuto. Could this be an issue on my end?

This is a very impressive mod. If I use it, will some female officers who were previously treated as male be recognized as female again? I’m playing alongside a marriage mod and I’d like to marry various officers, but some are flagged as male, which makes marriage impossible—quite a shame. I tried changing their gender with RPFM, but it didn’t seem to apply, so it looks like it’s tied to the scenario files. With my limited modding skills I can’t make a personal fix, so I wanted to ask. I’m using a translator, so I apologize for any awkward English.
