yeah itd be great for the dlc
ZEN_2255 12. okt. kl. 5:05
They could at least add something similar to this as an optional DLC block. It's a shame that they forget about the nuances.

not possible to "un-fill" bottles
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 7. okt. kl. 14:30
I don't think you can 'un-fill' bottles
mr.Dan 7. okt. kl. 6:04
I meant the reverse process: from bottles to cylinders
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 6. okt. kl. 17:10
but if you mean the bottles, you could use a conveyor sorter to push them to ships
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 6. okt. kl. 16:59
the h2/o2 generator fills tanks, you have to put ice in it to generate hydrogen and oxygen
mr.Dan 6. okt. kl. 11:04
Hello, could you please tell me if it's possible to build a machine that could pump hydrogen and oxygen cylinders into tanks at bases or on ships?
CyberBatty7 6. okt. kl. 8:09
Can we please have crops don't die instantly mod?
jarhead 5. okt. kl. 23:09
Thanks for the inset version. Now I don't have to waste a block space for a conveyor block along the walls of my bases and ships.

Fantastic news! APEX.Advanced! is now fully compatible with the Vertical Farm Mod.

All you need to do is subscribe to the dependency mod— APEX.Advanced! handles the entire functional integration automatically!

Note on Item Values
The blocks provided by the Vertical Farm Mod have been adjusted to use the exact vanilla stat values for perfect game consistency.

You can now use all the beautiful vertical block designs while benefiting from the complete APEX.Advanced! stat and resource systems! Enjoy the extra space.

Glad you all like this! :-) Thanks to Keen for the Sept Spotlight too!
Engineered Coffee 3. okt. kl. 20:09
Love it! Hope you don't mind but I modified my coffee mod to whitelist coffee into your planters.
Commander Qutatron 3. okt. kl. 2:42
Great idea!

Hi Nukeguard,

Huge fan of your Vertical (wall) Farm Plot mod!

I'm the developer of APEX.Advanced! , the official successor to Eat.Drink.Sleep.Repeat.Advanced! . I was hoping to ask for permission to integrate your blocks directly into my mod. We've made a lot of changes to the game's systems, and this would help us make your awesome content available to our players without the need for a separate ModAdjuster, which would greatly improve compatibility.

I would, of course, credit you fully in the mod description and add a link to your workshop page.

Thanks for considering!
FrogStrFytr 20. sep. kl. 0:28
Great addition! Really should make it into the base game!
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 19. sep. kl. 14:10
No, but the mod link below in comments is a mod that automates planting. I believe it will be an in-game function in the future, but we'll see.
Hitthebutton 19. sep. kl. 12:35
@nukeguard Curiousity, were you able to find a way to reach the IMyFarmPlotLogic code to read the vanilla data for crop cycle info and such? Trying to create a farm plot that can automate the crop cycle, but I don't believe the vanilla functionalities on that end are exposed to modders.
jarhead 19. sep. kl. 1:39
I may have asked this already but could we get this in "inset" version as well? Just this on 1 side with other 5 sides being conveyor ports. This will let us save even more space by building this near wall "a" [facing said wall] then place the current version in opposite side and repeating as many times as needed for our farms. In smaller built ships this will allow us to use this as a combination of a wall and conveyor at the same time while leaving a usable block space in front of it. (like for an lcd or something).
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. kl. 18:46
I saw that, I went and searched for that mod so I could use it too :-)
crimson 18. sep. kl. 18:24
@nukeguard I did ask if it was compatible with your mod and they said that it appears to be working, so automated vertical farming is a go. :)

nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 18. sep. kl. 14:45
That's cool, wonder if it'll work with the vertical plot
melelconquistador 18. sep. kl. 4:46
Can't wait until someone mods in the bananas for the banana beef
Zhunter247 18. sep. kl. 2:04
but you can already build them on the side of a conveyor...
2 conyeors already is 8 veritical plots, not six.
crimson 17. sep. kl. 18:54
@nukeguard @CyberBatty7 some mad lads have done the seemingly impossible, there is now a mod for automated planting. "Planting Automation" by Nebual and Arthur

it's slightly jank cause it's more like supervised automation than strictly fully automated, but it works, and that's what's important. (what I mean by supervised automation is that it requires a player to be within 50M of the farm while the automated planting process is happening with the player standing rather than seated, and how it works is that it tricks the planters into thinking that the player is planting something, when in reality it's just a ejector ejecting the seeds onto the planter block.)

more detailed info on the mod page.
Koilawakinni 17. sep. kl. 18:15
Should really be base game
Langton 17. sep. kl. 14:37
keen is very lucky people do their jobs for them
crimson 17. sep. kl. 8:29
@VS-lockon I actually discovered that one before I posted the message referring to humanoids's airlock mod, but I wasn't able to try it out until last night so I didn't refer it. (even though I love TheBrokenOne's corridor round blocks, 10 outta 10 their corridor mods is an essential part of my mod list.)
VS-lockon 17. sep. kl. 3:26
@crimson there also few mod made door like this https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3568974524 no one have ever killed my crops
crimson 16. sep. kl. 19:57
@nukeguard I have actually, though 2 things.
1, I kinda forgot that you were the author to that mod.
2, for some reason when the sim speed would get low after like months of playing the game on a friends server (p2p connection), that airlock would give me grief where sometimes I'd struggle to get in/out of the door. so I had to go to less fancy airlock styles that does the job.

love the mod though even with the problems I had, ended up using it for a good couple years.

crimson 16. sep. kl. 6:07
@CyberBatty7 as far as I'm aware, automated hydroponics is going to be a long while, and more than likely something to be added by keen themselves, so Humanoid's Double Door Airlock Pack is going to be your best bet to protect the hydroponics from the elements/the vacuum of space.
CyberBatty7 15. sep. kl. 23:47
Can we please have automatic ship and station hydroponics? My friend keeps killing our crops with airlock's.
VS-lockon 15. sep. kl. 18:10
nukeguard best moder ever
Days 15. sep. kl. 8:10
Thanks @nukeguard :)

v I second this question v
Baron 15. sep. kl. 1:09
Is it possible to make a mod that plants for us?
jarhead 15. sep. kl. 0:43
Then for now could we get the tunnel version I suggested? So it has conveyors on outside and you can walk through center (can be based off straight round passage) and have it so you can interact with inside but no matter where you interact the visual is same all around as it is 1 big farm plot. This could be and upgraded "MK-2" so you get 50% more output from each block/harvest. Current vanilla harvest you get 2 plant items per farm plot during harvest (don't remember which plant) but this "tunnel" type would have its light top center (kind of purple colored similar to irl grow lights) and plants on both side of you as you walk through and would give you 3 plants per harvest instead of 2. It would be airtight same as round passage on the 4 sides (that also have conveyors) but 2 open ends let air pass through.
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 14. sep. kl. 15:00
I intended to have more sides/tiers, but as it is right now, there is only one 'plant_01' dummy that works on the model, they didn't make it to have more than one. I tried.

yes, plants grow 10% faster as there are sprinklers on the block and a 'growing' light on them all the time.
Days 14. sep. kl. 14:21
Grow times with this plot seem to be about 10% lower than with the standard Keen plot. Am I imagining things? (client 1.207.021b0)
jarhead 14. sep. kl. 13:00
Can we get a couple more blocks added to this mod?
1st is this but as an inset so it has "2" farms facing sides with conveyors on top and bottom.
2nd is same as above but facing in like a tunnel with conveyors on top, bottom, and 2 sides.
Both versions would be airtight on conveyored sides (all side for inset).
GermanGinger 14. sep. kl. 8:26
Bro straight up one upped the devs before they even had the dlc out XD
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. kl. 12:56
They stand upright, you can harvest with a collector from the side, yes.
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. kl. 12:55
It's consumed resource is Water(gas), so I think they're right, might have to give it a different label in consumed resource
bigbabybull 12. sep. kl. 12:54
are the plots at a 45 Deg. angle? i could build a harvester with a vertical collector?
crimson 12. sep. kl. 12:50
@nukeguard I've spoken with another mod author who's made some water tanks, they're able to fill but the author hasn't gotten the water plots to pull from the tanks yet.

but yeah, you're correct, water is defined as a gas in SE. so unless you create a new block with it's own custom script to actually convert H2O into O2/H2 the id's for space engineers won't play nice. (that's according to the other mod author... if i understood what was said anyway)
GAMEtatron 12. sep. kl. 12:22
Awesome!
This should have come with the DLC.
nukeguard  [ophavsmand] 12. sep. kl. 10:38
auto planting isn't available, but I think it is planned for future SE updates
Indiana_Jones 12. sep. kl. 8:06
Cool
