I've pushed a small update to hopefully fix that now in the future. I guess it was to do with the map you were playing because I haven't come across that error before.

Having a problem on Linux dedicated server with the blackout mission.
Everything is pitch black. Even the flashlight doesn't illuminate either the map or objects.
And there's an error in server console.

Yeah no that's weird. I've done testing where I had more than enough and it worked. I suppose I can give a rewrite a go and let you know how it goes from there.

And obviously Alyx can be something to reset that timer due to her hacking tool, would make it a requirement to defend the casino while the report is being "documented" before being sent but the hasty equipment is similar to a damn fax machine hence the timer requirement.

I think the casinos will need to be on a maybe two to three minute timer for when the reports are able to be sent, because I once again had that issue where I had way more than enough to "buy" sending the report (Above 15K in wallet and the cost was just under 4K for context) it's like the mission type somewhat softlocks because it did this multiple times as if what's in the wallet ISN'T the true amount somehow...

forgot to add, it also makes the flashlight useless, everything except the spawning enemies effect is black no matter what.

given that it's a really handy addon, it'd be nice if it could be resolved. here's a pic:

just tried it, while still relatively small the payout is much better now, and the beams also help on blackout. great job!

Yeah thats a solid point. I've just bumped up the income values now. Also added a beam effect for the light generators in blackout, so they should be easier to find.

just for comparison, the lowest bounty on a rebel enemy, the rgg grunt, is 25j, followed by the fighter with 30j. these guys come at you in sizeable numbers, which is why an extra 25-30j every 10-15 seconds isn't much. again, you don't have to increase the revenue too much, but the current payout is a little low.

having played quite a bit of the gamemode, getting a lot of money is meaningless if you can't get to your objectives and complete the mission (and ideally you want to do this asap so the enemies don't start to pile up), and order cooldowns also prevent you from getting too many defenses up. if you're dealing with a lot of enemies like it tends to happen with rebels (see helicopter spam), you can actually burn through your money pretty fast, especially on singleplayer where your only support are turrets, so even if it's a significant boost it wouldn't be too OP, especially since it's the only mission where you have to spend money to complete the objectives.
i don't think the increase has to be too high, and since usually there aren't too many casinos to deal with (around 4 usually?) you aren't really going to get dumb amounts of cash anyhow unless you made them give you too much money. I'd say roughly 2x-3x the current payouts would be fair.

I kept it low to prevent some sort of idle farming where you could find a god-spot and just earn money that way. Though I'd imagine if you find a god-spot you could just farm money through killing too, so I'm not against bumping the income numbers again.

potential bugs aside, i think the casino mission is fine as it is, honestly. personally, i would just make the casinos give you more money, because getting around 25 j every 10-15 seconds isn't really much of an investment when you get way more than that just shooting the nearest enemies.

Oh I was able to interact with them, but as shown in the fourth screenshot with the report being the darker shade of red (which I dubbed as being grayed out) that was on both buttons for me and both were around the prices I mentioned.

Normally you should be able to interact with the buttons regardless of if you have enough money or not? Perhaps its just weird angles that for some reason, don't pick up the input. I'll see if theres any way I can make it less finnicky? (it was pretty bad before I made changes)

As for the difficulty scaling, that's fair enough. Theres no real easy way to balance it between singleplayer and multiplayer and so I think I'll reduce the terminals and change the way the pricing/income works.

In my opinion the mission type should probably only be restricted to just two casinos (the mentioned map had me doing six of them) which might help at least for the solo experience of the gamemode from the waves getting too overwhelming because by the time I'd had to call it the RGG helicopters were spawning just about every wave resulting in several being active at the same time and given they all drop turrets as they fly around they can have the map completely layered in automated defenses.
Or as an alternative solution is to have the casinos be in a sequence similar to the mainframe terminals only the furthest in the sequence is the cheapest one with a small income bonus and the last one is the expensive one with a large income bonus.

Another thing that I want to mention and again if this was already reported then apologize but if not, the Monopoly mission type might have an unintentional softlocking bug with it because I tried doing this mission type and the fourth casino (was on this map when it happened https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3418655530 ) had prices around the 1K range but the option to buy both was grayed out like I didn't meet the required amount when at the time I was sitting around 4K in stored up J.

So, unless this was already reported but if not, this seems to be causing an issue with the Boomer special enemy for the zombie faction as priming it to explode with the stunstick causes an error.

very good! although, especially on maps that are already dark/at night, on blackout missions the game just turns (near) pitch dark with no way to see anything, including the generator consoles, so i think that maybe some kind of adjustment for maps that are already kind of dark would be nice. i suppose some kind of light/beacon order could also do the trick, but i'm not sure which would be easier to implement.
