This is not an item in the OC, MotB, SoZ, or MoW or any other released campaign at this time, so to use it you need to use the in-game console or the Silverwand Item Summoner. The Silverwand Item Summoner is also not available in any existing campaign, so to add that you would need to use the in-game console. So at this time, you have to use the in-game console. The point of developing these items was to reduce the need to use the in-game console, not eliminate it entirely.

To get the ID look for the UTI file in the subfolder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\2738630 that was created when you subscribed to the item.

Hi there - what item ID do you use to do this? This does seem like a circular dependancy? Which do I get first please?

Does this mean for an existing game I have t use the in-game console at least once?

I've uploaded a minor update to correct a few places where I used Djinn instead of Djinni and to make it easier for modders to use in their own campaigns with their own store.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 23 Aug @ 10:13am
Great. Thanks for the update. I appreciate the confirmations.
corvek 23 Aug @ 5:25am
I can also confirm that this has been fixed. This will make adding items on Steam Deck infinitely easier, thank you.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 22 Aug @ 6:38am
That's great. Thanks for letting me know.
darkelfe186 22 Aug @ 2:58am
Thanks for the update, everything works now.

I've rewritten the store mechanism to use AppendStore which seems to be resolving the issue with purchasing.
corvek 20 Aug @ 7:02am
I definitely think it's a great idea and I hope you can find a fix. I usually just assume it's more of a workshop issue than anything else, since Neverwinter Nights 1 on Steam is also pretty fickle and I don't believe the workshop does anything to determine load order or anything of the sort. I do have a few mods installed off of NWVault like a couple of Charlie's mods and the like, but I believe those specifically mess with UI/files and don't actually add anything separately like what yours do. It'd be weird if there was a conflict there.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 19 Aug @ 9:23pm
I am confident that the issue is not due to a conflict with any other mod.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 19 Aug @ 9:21pm
It was working for me but I can also get it to not work. So I still think I will be able to get it to work, but need to figure out why it isn’t. Sorry about that. I thought this would be a convenient and fairly cool way to allow people to look at and get items in-game. Until I get it working I suggest you use the Silverwand Item Summoner since using the console give item command disables achievements, which is a nuisance.
corvek 19 Aug @ 3:22pm
Yes, I can confirm that those items are in their respective folders. I also downloaded the above linked collection, just to be sure I had everything. All of the workshop folders have files in their override subfolders. Strange indeed.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 19 Aug @ 2:01pm
Clearly there are some issues with this item and I am investigating. For the time being adding my items will still require using the console giveitem command or my SIlverwand Item Summoner.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 19 Aug @ 1:31pm
Can you please verify that the Silverwand items you are trying to buy are in your override folder. The Steam workshop downloads NWN2EE items into subfolders in steamapps\workshop\content\2738630.
The Silverwand Item Summoner should be in subfolder 3547307359\override. Adept's Bane should be in 3543025763\override.

I am also having this unusual issue of purchasing from the genie and not having the item appear in my inventory. Gold is not taken from me and the item is removed from the genie.
Daedalus 19 Aug @ 5:44am
Hi I came across a similar issue. I bought a couple of armors and swords (namely Adept's Bane) and I wanted to buy the Silverwand Item Summoner. But all of the bought items, Silverwand Item Summoner included, are not in my inventory and it is barren as the desert. The gold has also not been taken.

My mod is a unique item with a unique conversation. I don't know why it would conflict with anything by someone else unless they have modified the standard on acquired scripts for characters and are somehow removing the items from your character even though they have been purchased. The only way to test for collisions is to remove what you have in your override, but because Steam workshop uses multiple override folders instead of just one, it may be difficult. You could try renaming the workshop folder for NWN2EE but the sync process might just redownload everything anyway.

As of yet you are the only person reporting any issue and it has been downloaded by 25 people. Maybe someone else can either confirm it is working for them or they are having the same problem you are.
darkelfe186 18 Aug @ 8:53am
Could it be that your mod conflicts with something else? With the same Kaedrin mod for example (which I have installed) and/or some other interface mod.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 17 Aug @ 6:27pm
I’m not sure what the issue is. Normally I would suggest emptying your override folder but with NWN2EE on Steam, I’m not sure that would work. For now I suggest you use my Silverwand Item Summoner instead of the genie.
darkelfe186 17 Aug @ 11:54am
There is not much that is really useful there. A collection of unique ammunition for throwing and shooting weapons created by him + blueprints for them. A small set of armor, which can stand out only by its appearance (and not always) and one heavy shield is useful only in the early stages of the game (if there is enough gold for them), but closer to the middle, you can already find better equipment. Both from standard merchants and from loot. + a set of amulets for the warlock and a mace for him
darkelfe186 17 Aug @ 11:45am
Regarding Kaedrin, it seems he wrote that he posted the source code with a small correction to his mod, in anticipation of a larger update that he is currently working on. However, I have not checked this, since I am not very well versed in NWN 2 modding. His genie shop is much simpler than yours. It simply opens a trading window when using a genie coin.

When trying to buy an identification scroll, nothing happens at all, just like with the previous items. The only difference is that the scroll does not disappear from the store's inventory (most likely because it is not a single item)
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 16 Aug @ 7:20pm
There are 4 types of items in the store. There are standard items - identify and magic missile scrolls, healing potions; special edition items - some weaponry and armor; a few SoZ items like magic bags that will show in SoZ; and the Silverwand tems which would be in an override folder or OC Makeover campaign folder. Items defined in the store with no blueprint will not appear, so if you did not subscribe to the Silverwand Item Summoner then it will not appear. This is how it worked in my testing.

The simplest case to test is to purchase an identify scroll because it is a standard item. Can you try that?
darkelfe186 16 Aug @ 11:00am
I tried to buy several items. One of the unique dwarven axes available in the vanilla game (I don't remember the name, it has an icon like a two-handed axe), Item Summoner, Belt of Stealth
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 16 Aug @ 10:09am
He had his reasons for not sharing his code and I’m not saying they were not valid, but it unfortunately makes it impossible for other modders to ensure compatibility or work toward common goals.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 16 Aug @ 9:43am
I have a long history of trying to make sure that my mods worked with Kaedrin's and then he stopped sharing his code, which made it impossible to verify, so I stopped trying to. I don't use his modifications personally and had no knowledge of the feature you are describing. On the plus side we are both still active after all of these years and trying to add support for NWN2EE.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 16 Aug @ 9:24am
Is it possible your character's inventory was full?
The genie is not supposed to disappear from the conversation. He goes away when you rub the bottle again.
I've uploaded a slight change to the conversation and uti to use Djinni instead of Djinn (he will show "Djinni Merchant" instead of "Djinn Merchant") and to allow the Djinni to speak with NPC's but I don't think either of those will have a bearing on what you are describing. It shoudn't matter but what item are you trying to buy?
darkelfe186 16 Aug @ 8:38am
Regarding my suggestion - you are right. I just thought that it would be convenient if the two gin shops (yours and Kaedrin's) were combined into one.
darkelfe186 16 Aug @ 8:33am
By the way, this was the main campaign of NWN 2
darkelfe186 16 Aug @ 8:31am
I made a purchase with the main character, but nothing appeared in the inventory. The gold was not written off for the purchase, as well as there was no corresponding sound of the item getting into the inventory. Another thing that I forgot to mention last time. The genie does not disappear when choosing the dialogue option about returning it to the bottle.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 16 Aug @ 8:20am
Check the inventory of your main PC. The item may have been added there. Kaedrin does his thing and I do mine.
darkelfe186 16 Aug @ 2:30am
In addition, I suggest combining/adding compatibility with a similar item from Kaedrin's PrC Pack, which appears in the character's inventory at the time of its creation.
darkelfe186 16 Aug @ 2:25am
Hello, I encountered the following problem: After purchasing an item in the genie's shop, this item does not appear in the character's inventory and the money for the purchase is not written off. At the same time, the item disappears from the store's assortment. At the same time, other items can be freely sold to the genie.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 15 Aug @ 5:30pm
Sorry, in the first upload to the Workshop I mistakenly left out the item activation script, so if you subscribed and tried to activate it and nothing happened, then my bad. I've uploaded a correction, so next time you start playing it should sync up and it will work.
Kaldor Silverwand  [author] 15 Aug @ 2:22pm
To add this item to your NWN2 character you can use the in-game console or the Silverwand Item Summoner. If you use the Silverwand Item Summoner then reenabling achievements will not be necessary.

To add an item with the console giveitem command you need to know the tag of the UTI. After subscribing navigate to the appropriate sub folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\2738630
If you look at the contents you can see which files are UTI files. If there is documentation you should read it,

After using the console you may want to reenable achievements by editing your save file globals.xml changing the 1 to 0 (zero) in these lines (credit to Aldroen):
<Booleans>
<Boolean>
<Name>ShowCheatsWarning</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
</Boolean>
<Boolean>
<Name>Cheater</Name>
<Value>1</Value>
</Boolean>
</Booleans>
