I considered excluding quest beggars. But in the end, I decided to include them in this mod because it fits with the spirit of the game, which is that Henry should feel the consequences of his decisions.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the beggar in question will calm down. Try to devote yourself to other activities outside the city for a while, if possible.

First of all, thank you very much for responding so quickly.

I’m still a bit stuck, since uninstalling the mod in a panic and then reinstalling it seems to have broken the cooldown timer. Waiting four days hasn’t fixed it so far. That’s probably my fault for uninstalling while the aggro cooldown was active, not yours.

Still, I’m optimistic that I won’t need to load a save from when I first aggroed him, just from when I uninstalled the mod. (There were a few hours of playtime in between.)

I’ll try again tomorrow.

Thanks again, and maybe consider excluding that one beggar from the “target list” for future players if possible.

Hi, wait a while, maybe until the next day. They'll get over it. They'll still scold you, but they won't run away from you anymore.

Help! I softlocked my LOTF DLC with this addon.

A long time ago, I saw a stinking beggar and naturally told him to bugger off.
Turns out that bum was Volf, the very beggar you need to talk to in order to finish the DLC. Now he runs away whenever he sees me, even after uninstalling the addon. I tried waiting, knocking him out, and even killing him. Killing him obviously fails the quest, and the other options do nothing.

Any idea how to fix this?
Or could @honza patch it for future players?:steamsad:

I always wished I could do more than just walk by the beggars.

This is so good, thank you for making this mod

Hi AK_Snowbat, please write to me where it was and what the situation was, for example how you completed the main quest etc.
AK_Snowbat 23 Sep @ 8:39am
i was playing yesterday and literally wanted this mod. found a beggar woman and i coudn't help her.
Chrom 22 Sep @ 9:01am
Man, the combination of this mod and the one that lets you talk to people in taverns makes immersion skyrocket.
Really appreciate the work dude.
Martin 21 Sep @ 3:31pm
This beats just dropping stuff in front of them, and them just being like ooo lucky me lol.
honza  [author] 17 Sep @ 8:04am
Hi, in this mod you have a choice in what you say and how you act.
Hacker 16 Sep @ 8:49am
do you talk to them freely? or do you have bubbles you have to choose from?
EFADKZ 15 Sep @ 6:29am
I got it working, I was using nexus mods. so what I did is I stopped managing the game from vortex and the mod worked smoothly
EFADKZ 15 Sep @ 5:50am
sadly this doesn't work for me. I dont even have mods
Blade-92 14 Sep @ 5:04am
Finally, thanks
honza  [author] 9 Sep @ 11:01pm
Hi, the mod is compatible.
Hiwizardao 9 Sep @ 5:32pm
Has anyone tested this for 1.4?
1_kugelfisch 6 Sep @ 5:51am

Absolutně super mód, moc díky za něj :)

Try loading a permanent save when Jindřich is released from the pillory and Bára calls out to him.
Samtaro 23 Aug @ 2:23pm
Hmm must be something else that was making it not work, I'll try this mod again when the new DLC is released, thanks for the feedback
honza  [author] 23 Aug @ 11:26am
Hi! I have tried both mods and there is no conflict between them and they both work at the same time. Bara's Gift is only available at the beginning of the game when you first meet Bara.
honza  [author] 22 Aug @ 1:04pm
Hi, please send me the conflicting mod. I will take a look at it.
Samtaro 22 Aug @ 11:54am
Hi! Can you make a separate version to remove Bara from the donations list? It's conflicting with another mod that uses her for some dialogue.
Styx 21 Aug @ 8:00pm
One of the best mod out there, I've been thinking it would be nice if we could donate to beggars and this mod delivers it! This is the kind of stuff I wish it was in the game. Thank you, keep up the good work
GBQC 21 Aug @ 9:44am
cool
Pekka 19 Aug @ 7:03am
Oh okay, well sometimes you need a bit of luck to talk yourself out of this kind of situations. I mean I had max charisma and still had to pay up. But love these mods of yours. I downloaded the tavern mod. Nice to have little chat with people. I know nothing about making mods, so does the game allow to make a mod where you could work basic jobs like blacksmithing, hunting, farming etc. If so that could be a sign for me to learn a new skill haha
honza  [author] 18 Aug @ 9:42pm
Hi, the consequences of a fight are dealt with by the game itself. I also failed to talk myself out of a fight even though I didn't start it. Even though I actually provoked the other side. But sometimes the NPC runs away, probably because of Henry's menacing appearance.
Pekka 18 Aug @ 1:19pm
Great mod, adds nice bit of realism to the game. I have one question. I told a beggar to piss off and he started punching me. I had to pay 80 groschen for fighting. Is this intetionally?
honza  [author] 18 Aug @ 10:12am
Hi, Turkish subtitles only.
Nightmare 18 Aug @ 8:55am
no turkish, right?
honza  [author] 16 Aug @ 11:00pm
Hi, works in German too.
speedY [ Я v Ь ] 16 Aug @ 5:44am
Does this mod work in the German version too, or will the beggars talk in English to me?
Goofyjulius 16 Aug @ 4:49am
keep up the amazing work bro, these mods are amazing
Hans Wurst 15 Aug @ 11:47am
Yeasssss, these kinds of mods are exactly what the game needs. I hope at some point official integration will be added for more NPC interactions. So far KCD2 is a very immersive game, except for one part. It does sometimes kind of feel like a theme park instead of a living world since NPC's can only react to henry doing something instead of the henry reacting to the world or the world doing things on its own to which both henry and NPC can react. But this is a very good step in the right direction. Thank you so much!!!!!
tophfox 14 Aug @ 10:47am
Bro this is some RDR2 level shit
