It does not change existing immortality skills and settings, but if an execution event occurs, the character can be executed permanently, regardless of its effect.
It's already there. Try it
At least this way there’s a better chance for players to lose a campaign every once in a while.
ai vs ai = X
player vs ai = O
player vs player = O (in multiplay)
yes.
The recent update probably changed some mod data in your save file. This happened only this time because the campaign was already in progressed. In next time, it would be fine.
1. Only a tiny fraction of Total War: Warhammer III players actually use mods.
2. The campaign already provides built-in options to adjust AI difficulty.
3. 90% of players simply reload a save or retry the battle if they lose or if their legendary lord dies. They never just accept the defeat and keep playing until their faction is wiped out.
4. The purpose of this mod was never to nerf the AI. It’s meant to reduce the fatigue caused by certain DLC legendary lords reviving, so fast, endlessly.
5. Therefore the idea of killing the player LL after three defeats may sound “fair” on paper, but in reality it’s completly useless. If a player wants penalties, there are countless self-imposed ways to add them—it’s just that some people want a little “flavor of fairness” sprinkled in.
6. I did add the feature since it was requested, but I already know none of you will ever actually use it.
It increases the difficulty of the game, you can’t just throw your legendary lord in anywhere
- Players legendary lord can now be permanently killed if they suffer three consecutive defeats.

I never imagined *anyone* would ever ask this useless feature. Good luck.
Thank you for reporting the issue.
I’ve updated the mod and fixed the problem.
When you load your save, the debuff effect may still be present on the player, but it will now naturally expire instead of being refreshed indefinitely.
And one more thing.
For reference, the debuff applied to the army is not just a visual glitch — this effects actually has effects. :)
I had 2 theories on what might be causing them, 1st one was due to a mod that I have where legendary lords can get their own defeat traits at level 30 [By alex Zhao] (but Markus hasn't reached that threshold yet) the other was that I have the Recruit defeated legendary lords mod [By Sm0kin] Whats really strange though is that the debuff timer never goes away. if the countdown ever reaches 0 it just resets to another random turn number, Like with Markus it went from 1 turn to 7 turns.
This is a very unusual bug. Could you let me know which faction you were playing? While it's highly unlikely, it's possible that if you confederated with a faction that already had the debuff, the data may have transferred over and applied the debuff to your legendary lord.
There is a mod on here called "Execute (Useless) Lords & Heroes" so you can go the extra mile and remove them from your pool entirely as long as it's not your faction leader probably, which you can just keep perma disbanded.
You could just play with honour rules and permanently disband your LL after dying three times.
It will probably be replaced by a random lord. maybe.
@sarumanthecursed
This also applies to the player.
When the player’s faction leader is defeated and then returns to campaign, the debuff is applied as well. However, even after three consecutive defeats, the leader will not be executed. Of course, the remaining duration of the debuff will be refreshed.
@Beans
Sure.
Since I don’t own the Pharaoh game, I can’t test it myself, so I can’t guarantee the mod will work perfectly. But if needed, please feel free to use it in Total War: Pharaoh as well.
Exactly. That’s how to play the game. If you miss the chance, have to start from the beginning stage.
@Happyfunrun
It also applies to the player, of course. However, the AI cannot execute the player.
And although I haven’t tested it myself, in a multiplayer environment, if a player loses three times to another player, they should indeed be able to execute them.
Also does the AI use this?
We should also get slightly different options depending if its a normal lord with "immortality", a legendary lord or the faction leader. Vassalizing by winning over a faction leader is kinda cool. Also executing an "immortal" lord should cause negative diplomacy of all the races of that race. So all high elves gets upset if you kill Turion. Or something like that. Would be very thematic.
