This seems to be exactly what Im looking for, doing a medieval run and I have a main city built on a 300x300 but I want to make some smaller side maps (for RP purposes) like a fishing outpost on the coast and maybe a winter hunting cabin in the boreal mountains north of me. But I was hesitant because I didnt need/want a ton of 300x300 maps all over the place. Thanks!

have some incompatibilities with Warthog mod, some vehicle expand mod where it wont allow to spawn 2nd vehicle on the map, and Some Biome mod where everything seems to disappear when zoom to close.

is it possible to add a custom list of available sizes per every type of world map? like to make mountains maps narrow sometimes when you land them, but make deserts especially big and square. It would add tons of variety.

Glad the mod is helping people!

@MeatOnASeat it'll affect all map generation when enabled, so planetside too

Thank you so much man. I was having issues with my gravship literally not being able to fit anywhere on the final boss mechanoid platform since I am using the Bigger Gravships mod. Turns out a 75-tile wide circle (~4k substructure) makes Rimworld unhappy. Just forced the map to be larger, and it works great! Absolute life saver
Po_Polsku 16 Aug @ 9:15am
that one also turns off narrator ai on bigger sizes?
MeatOnASeat 15 Aug @ 8:32pm
Does this just affect the size of maps in space or does it also do planet side?
Kupie  [author] 12 Aug @ 10:43pm
@MorphingE If you want to land on any sort of people/formations/land then you'll need "Land on Anything". If you just want to get past the "Must be connected to Land" message when picking a spot in space, I got you covered!

I use 250x250 myself for any space station building, 100x100 is just too small
MorphingE 12 Aug @ 5:47pm
Oh, also, what is your map size preference? Just idle curiosity.
MorphingE 12 Aug @ 5:46pm
@Kupie does that mean that we can use either or? Or would we need both LAnd on Anything and Custom Map? I currently have both installed.

Unless I misunderstood what I read!

Also, thank you for this mod x.x

@Brumes Wolf

I still might! I make mods and code stuff as a hobby so it's not like it's awful to do

@masternetra Added a feature to move the ship to any empty space when landing. I also requested the dev of "Land on anything" to add the feature too perhaps; It's a setting in this mod that's on by default now.
Brumes Wolf 12 Aug @ 1:44pm
That would be great, but don't put too much effort into it, and once it works I doubt it would need to be updated in the future
Kupie  [author] 12 Aug @ 1:27pm
@masternetra Since it sounds like a nice feature, so I'll add it if the dev of "Land On Anything" doesn't add it! I figured out some code to make it work (it's a bit complicated, harmony transpilers aaaaa) but it's quite the shitty code so I don't want to release it if someone better than me does instead!

@Brumes Wolf I'll see what I can do to get it working for 1.5; It's time consuming to keep multiple mod versions for different game versions going though
masternetra 11 Aug @ 4:41pm
@Kupie - Sadly landing out in open space seems to be one thing it doesn't allow you to do.
Brumes Wolf 11 Aug @ 4:05pm
@Kupie That is awesome, because there is one mod that was supposed to do this, but its been broken for ages and is probably not ever gonna get updated. Just sad I'll have to wait for all my mods to update to 1.6 to be able to try use this.
Kupie  [author] 11 Aug @ 3:43pm
@masternetra I just saw this earlier and installed it myself! Haven't tested it though:

@Brumes Wolf It should! I believe they all still use the mapgenerator function I patched. I don't have any active savegames (without a shit ton of mods already) to test on though
Brumes Wolf 11 Aug @ 2:55pm
@Kupie With event maps I mean maps like quest maps/ruins, the little raiding targets that generate around your colony, or hostile colony maps.
masternetra 11 Aug @ 2:35pm
I don't suppose you know any mod that removes the land requirement for moving your gravship land spot (or could make one)? I also have the mod the lets you travel to empty space, but can't move my landing spot to the center because of it.
JulekJulas 11 Aug @ 1:36pm
Thanks a lot!
Kupie  [author] 11 Aug @ 1:21pm
@JulekJulas added text box fields that you can use to override the slider settings if you like. Even doing 700x700 took my game ~5 minutes to generate on a pretty beefy CPU, so good luck you mad lad!

@Brumes Wolf it'll affect every map that gets generated with Rimworld's "GenerateMap" method, so I believe even the "event" maps will count. Could you give an example "event" map? Like pits or something?

@тетеря, блин I can try and add something that detects the map name it generates. I'd have to also figure out something to show the name of the last map generated and it'd be a pretty advanced setting to use
Brumes Wolf 11 Aug @ 3:27am
Does this allow you to set a default for the size of "event" maps? Because I have been looking for a mod to increase the size of those for ages.
JulekJulas 10 Aug @ 12:04pm
Great mod already bdw
JulekJulas 10 Aug @ 12:03pm
I would really appreciate it if you could change the maximum size from 500 to 600, I know it is kinda excessive but I am used to that size and RimWorld 1.6 doesn't like it
тетеря, блин 8 Aug @ 4:11pm
Is there a way to create, let's say, presets for biomes? like jungles → 75% 200x200, 25% 300x150.
