Thank you, I am glad you like it so far. Yeah so one month after Dynasties was released, I went into the game files and was messing around with the units from Troy. I was originally planning on just adding them into the game for the Achaean and Trojan factions. But then over time, my skills and ideas grew and we have what we have today.
Cool, I would be very interested in this! I am only a one man team at the moment, with three (super helpful) advisers. If you can teach me or help me, I would really appreciate it. I have sent you a friend request.
If you still need help for the 3D cards, i can help you with that, it's not that difficult to do
Still, glad you making good progress on mod so far, really added alot I can see with wave 2. Looking forward to see what the other waves are like as it does help those minor factions stand out alot more.
Thank you, I appreciate it!
I know, it really is such a shame that it didn't get more support or DLC. I find it funny that most of the big YouTubers say it's boring when I think it is the opposite personally. It was brave of CA to try a game without cavalry, I think this contributed to the problems.
Argh, thanks for raising this! I even know this is the correct spelling! I will change this tomorrow and release a patch.
Progress on next wave going well too!
Really like the hard work done on these minor factions, making them feel more unique in addition to the native rosters. Looking forward to seeing more as they release.
I won't put this in bugs because it doesn't count, but for Achilles' faction, the Pthian Axemen and Pthian Veteran Skirmishers should be spelt 'Phthian'.
Thank you kindly! Huge fan of you and your modding teams work on mods across the Total War franchise.
Maybe in the future I will look to do this but I will need to finish the mod first!
could you make iyour mod compatible with this mod, this is a very popular mod that I and many others use, having these two mods work together would be a game changer.
Thank you, I am glad you are enjoying!
Unfortunately, this mod will not work too well with other unit mods. I have tried to make it as compatible as possible but I had to edit the table that dictates what units can be recruited from buildings which can cause issues with other mods that do similar things.
Yes, Cimmeria is generally planned out and I went through a couple of iterations, initially starting out with about 50% Amazon units.
However, from what I can tell, the Amazon voice lines have not been fully ported over to the Pharaoh files. So the concept units I created did not say anything when selected or during battle. This is why mods like DoA use Tausret voice lines.
So I changed course, and have now gone for a mixed unit approach. For example, I have planned a tier 2 Cimmerian Archers unit that has both Cimmerian Men and Cimmerian Amazon models in the unit, with a ratio of three men to one woman. So far the test units look pretty good!
So the only recruitment building in minor settlements currently are the "native recruitment" building.
Think this is what you are seeing?
I am on holiday at the moment but I will be looking at creating a "faction recruitment" building for minor settlements when I get home. :)
Glad you are enjoying!
Sorry, I forgot to reply to your other comment!
These troops are tied to the factions, they are the "Faction Roster" like the major factions and are recruited through the minor faction barracks that can be built in province capitals (a barracks for minor settlements to be available soon).
I am pretty sure that you can be gifted the new units through mechanics like the Olympic games/Perseus ancient legacy.
There are four new native units though, that can be recruited through the native recruitment building in their respective regions. And more native units on the way (hint any native roster that doesn't have 12 units will recieve more)
Yeah no worries! Can you check out the new tunic for the Shutrukid Nobles I did last night, I cleaned up the dirty texture below the belt but with the way it sits on the model it still looks a bit janky!
Looking back through my units I am assuming the issue is with the Elamite units. Sorry, but the issues are present on all elamite units, unfortunately the were made quite badly unfortunately. The only thing I could do now is remove any leather below the belt line
What unit/model is this on please?
Yes this has been a big project! Thank you! Hoping this mod will provide many fun playthroughs once complete!
@COHORTROY
Thank you very much! Means a lot to get that feedback from you
Interesting suggestion, that would be the largest unit in the game.
Which mask are we talking about?
Any real world history or context behind this?
