Sorry, but since Malory's version has been so influential when it comes to the current view of Arthurian legend, I am using it as one of the main sources for this mod, and I am not planning to change that. Having Oberon as the son of Morgan le Fay and Julius Caesar would be cool, but it doesn't fit at all into the established timeline.
That depends on which version of the story you're going by. The legend of King Arthur was re-told and re-shaped over centuries. In Malory's "Le Morte d'Arthur", while the sword in the stone and the sword given by the Lady of the Lake were two different swords, they were both called Excalibur. The idea that Caliburn specifically refers to the sword in the stone seems to be relatively modern. Originally, it seems like Caliburn and Excalibur were just different transliterations of Welsh Caledfwlch. Caliburn took a more direct route through Latin Caliburnus, while Excalibur took a detour through Old French Escalibor.
To keep things simple, I'm treating them as the same sword.
