That is an intended feature. While Infantry is qutie fragile, they have the benefit of terrain maneubravility
Sorry, no starships, all air units are only fighters, bombers, gunships, air artillery and transports, most things are sorta trying to be in a scale 1:1, so even something as a corvette like the Rebel Corellian Corvette, would be massive. However when we get back to modding it again, I will consider the addition of more air units depending on the side

Not really subfaction, but I do plan once I return to work on it, to get the Imperial Remnant and the New Republic in here, they would have their slight differences compared to the Empire and Rebels

Also, RW portrays an approximate of how much per second you get from all sources, even if they have an established delay time, like if you get 700 credits every 40 secs, it will try to find and display an approximate of how much per second is that. Nothing to do there, it's how the game works. We just didn't want the Credits to be gathered directly per second

I'm not as familiar with the Expanding Fronts mod but I think I've seen they have units like ARC Troopers and such before so I can't wait to see what you two add, might need to brush up on that mod's unit roster just to hype me up!
And hahaha, I can't blame you, I was never a big fan of the GB Air Cruisers, as powerful as they were, and the Republic and Gungan designs were probably my least favourite among them, kinda funny since I like their infantry as the Gungans attacks were unique since they weren't blaster-armed and the clones had some sick lines.
But yeah, as far as making it up goes, I say go crazy! I always enjoy seeing the cool stuff people come up with for Star Wars and it is a big galaxy out there so who's to say there aren't weapons we haven't seen yet!
We will be taking inspiration from Expanding Fronts mod from Galactic Battlegrounds, too, and we won't lie that some few units may be made-up too, like the Naboo Battlecruiser, it's actually inspired from the Naboo Bomber from "Battle For Naboo", but stronger frame and bigger and set as aerial artillery. We thought of the GB Air cruiser, but as much as me and Sushi are very biased towards Naboo, their GB Air cruiser looks ugly af like a clown face fr fr, so we came up with our own version of an air cruiser
Oooh, heck yeah! Glad to see my hunch was right but also I love Star Wars mods and stuff that give attention to more than just what gets highlighted in the mainstream. Thanks again for the work you and Sushi have put into this, can't wait to see how it expands because this has been such a refreshing RTS-based Star Wars experience! It's great to basically relieve Galactic Battlegrounds but with more modern conveniences and whatnot, plus learning about units like the AST that I don't think I've heard about before, always fun discovering cool new things in Star Wars to read about!

1 solution I see to this is letting AI have its own AI-only tech-up which is very cheap or even free, but takes long, while for players could work as suggested: More expensive but shorter time
An update will arrive between today or tomorrow, which adresses some issues and balancing. It also will add at least 1 new unit to the Empire, +2 Empire units being replaced for them for another. The replaced units will appear later again on the next faction to come: The Imperial Remnant (Eventually)
Our largest inspiration was Galactic Battlegrounds, but also getting inspiration from other games like Empire At War, and several other. Hell, even some units like the Trade Federation's AST came out from a toyline and decided to make it a unit
