1 block that large will most likely cause issued where if you do individual could be more balanced as well

honestly a individual segment supergate would be cool. imagine having a supergate activate remotely and watch it move as it "builds" each time. use some pistons, rotors and hinges so it can compact afterwards

I am unsure how I want todo supergate if I want todo it one block or individual segments it just depends on whats possible when we get script modding

Anubiseti, the Puddle Jumper I made already fits through the stargate of this mod. The thrusters do not retract yet since we don't have the necessary blocks, but I'll do my best to make that work while keeping some room inside the jumper once we get those blocks.

stargate, its a crazy trip. You can go real far and you dont need a car or even a shiiiiiip.

Awesome, Lowgogo. Just need to get Keen to give us less bulky flight seats for better shuttle like builds. :P Either way I'm glad to hear that you do plan to scale it once you're able to complete a proper jumper.

Well there is no puddle jumper at the moment. When my puddle jumper is finished I can scale the gate to match

Are you guys planning on scaling the gate size up to fit a proper puddle jumper through the gate or is the current size the only size it'll eventually come it? Don't get me wrong I love my Stargate stuff, but even on SE1 finding a gate system that actually accommodated a practical jumper was very difficult.

Its basically a universal law. MGM couldn't be asked to finish the story so we make the tools to tell a story are selfs.

I love seeing the Stargate fandom still alive and active in new things, leaving the glyphs in niche places on the internet. Thank you for making this mod. I look forward to seeing the updates! :D

Nice I am also working on a Atlantis City ship and Ha'Tak at the moment which is currently all vanilla but am also working on decorative blocks for this mod like atlantis door and walls panels for interiors.

I am so happy you are making this. I've been building Stargate ships and never expected this mod to come out for another 2-3 years XD. Right now I'm constructing a 4-sided Ha'tak which I will publish and which your mod will go really well with!

Great work. I attempted to do some of this myself when mossing first released but unfortunately didn't get very far. Very keen to see what happens with this when scripting comes

@zach Me too, Gates have seemed buggy for me for a while where passing through would make me stuck on the other side just rubber banding back to where I exited sadly. Oh yep during the battle of Asuras you see their version of the Aurora using some kind of pulse weapon instead of drones I think it was. I'm currently digitising my stargate collection so I can watch it on my tablet instead of needing the power hungry computer.

Destiny main cannon is definitely a gun I want to add when we get the ability to mod weapons.

Oh! Just had another Idea, (not to seem like I'm asking, Just things that pop into my head :P) What about destiny's pulse cannons and main weapon system? :P I think Aurora class warships also had some sort of pulse weapon, but I'll have to go re-watch some episodes haha :D

Ive been missing the old stargate mod from SE1, still use the gate, but weapons were never fully developed, etc. The ZPM mod and the weaponcore drone mod are super cool though :D Glad to see stargate starting to come to SE2!!!!

I am not here to just copy and paste cap and the engine compared to garrys mod as well as code language is completely diffrent so coding the mod when that becomes available to us may mean not everything cap does is possible and my goal is to make it fit in to SE while allowing players to enjoy stargate and tell their own stargate storys with in SE 2. I have my own ideas of how I want stuff to work. So if your expecting a copy and paste of CAP you will be disappointed but hopefully you like what we do instead.

can you add everything cap has I think SE 2 would so much more fun with cap stuff and SE 1 but that's it's own thing I have 8000 hr in gmod because of cap and what about blowing up a stargate? that would be nice one things for sure if it can have a stargate it will have a stargate

If you look at this months Keen Newsletter you will see how battery block and power cells will function in SE 2 so I plan on using the same system for ZPMs so you can place them in the ZPM HUB and remove them.

Naquadah Generator all version and ZPMs I have plans for Hand weapons disable block maybe possible but we won't know till we get script modding hopefully.

I was actually thinking of starting a Stargate Mod for SE2 myself! Great initiative and hope everything goes well!!

Couple of suggestions if you haven't thought of them yet:
- Naquadah Generators (both Mark 1 and Mark 2)
- ZPMs should be OP (other mods try to balance them but a ZPM should provide both a huge power output as well as a long-lasting supply of power)
- Ancient plasma cannons (they used drones only on the bigger ships)
- Hand weapons (Ronon Gun would be cool and Zat gun that disables a block temporarily if it hits it)

Hope its not too invasive of me to suggest these. Good luck with the mod!

A keen Dev on Discord hinted at possibly using the water system in SE 2 to make unstable vortex effect so could have some really cool effects for gate opening
