That used to be the gameplay in Beta version of the addon. It was, however, horribly easy to complete objectives and escape without ever running into enemies. So much for "shooter" gameplay. It was neither a proper stealth shooter (because these rely heavily on map layout, which we do not have, because this is gmod) nor a proper swarm shooter. Better be one thing proper, than both horribly.
Still works on my end and the addon hasn't been updated recently, go check if you've installed anything that's breaking it recently.
Then after a long while, crashes.
I am pretty sure that the "no navmesh" screen doesn't prevent the menu/console from opening. I should know because I literally used a console while developing that screen, and also the fact that opening the pause menu cannot really be overridden by addons, and you can see the console while in the pause menu.
@Coby
There should be other mods (PAC3 as a sure option comes to mind).

There's no consistent format for creating SWEPs (especially melee weapons and "consumables"). We had enough trouble detecting guns as they are, because every base considers it their duty to deviate from the format in weirdest ways possible. Therefore this is probably not possible to generate automatically reliably at all. You should manually override their prices in the Server Settings. Also, no, I've never seen this video in my life, it's not an easter egg.

More mafia? I guess you could say that, though probably not in the way you think, or in a way that would satisfy you. It is unlikely that factions would get more rep than they do, but there might be more mafia-themed terminals and features in the future.
As for locating spawners and polyps: I'm really not sure how to improve spawners' visibility, but I do want to improve polyps by making their red gas pulse from polyp's position rather than just stay as a cloud. This will come eventually.
And lastly: Yes, portals used to have a 0.2% chance to spawn a different faction before, now it's 10% because it was so rare that a lot of people assumed it to be a bug. Now it's more common, so even MORE people can assume that it's a bug! :)
Nope, because friendly NPCs are just worse turrets (they don't stay where you need them to, they die faster, and they can be easily mistaken for enemies in a gamemode that is already about literally killing NPCs ) This has been suggested many times and might be a gimmick for a new mission type in the future, but definitely never as a stratagem, because there really is no difference between a turret and an NPC if you think about it.
