the colour of gibs is based on the owner's blood variable, player spawned ragdolls use the material data, but things like VJ base stuff ( as i've found ) make yellow gibs. I don't assign things specific colours because that would take awhile also the goal was to make it more dynamic. I am going to add the ability to change an NPC class or model's gib colour maybe in the next update.

I wonder if you could create a list that users can use to replace models when gibbing, down to having specific models and options for gibs based on an entity's model and skin for gibs?
Also if an NPC is gibbed via a disintegrating damage type, could you code the gibs to disintegrate?
1 - Adding an options menu could be helpful for some players
2 - If possible add an option to make gibs only appear from explosions
3 - Flesh gibs should use a flesh material and change color based on the NPC
4 - Maybe improve the particle effects not sure exactly how but there's room for improvement
5 - Add gibbing sounds similar to HL2 with an option to switch to HL1 sounds instead
Yes I know the version is "3.2" right now but I'm just giving ideas in case you might want to use them in your addon
