Also im currently busy with university, so i don't have much time. That's why i haven't made any updates in a while.

Aerospace engineering is difficult, maybe it was a mistake choosing that...

i have thought about white outline when i was making the smoke, but it requires something called "stencils" which i haven't learned how to do yet because it's complicated and there are not a lot of information on it. But it is possible i'll do this someday

Something that would be great for this addon is if the smoke was more like the games version, the while highlight around it makes it look better, also apply the games animation to the map changer too. would be great!

when you go to another map with the dark fountains you should make it to where you can seal the fountain and return to the previous map... or something.

Thanks for the info. There isn't much i can do about multiplayer, i don't have any friends who play gmod, however i think i might know what causes this bug, so i'll probably attempt to fix it and just hope it works

alr, tested it in multiplayer, works fine both visually and map changing wise, one bug however, if two people are holding ANY form of the knights crowbar out, no matter which versions they are, they bug out and are unable to make fountains until the other player switches items.

That could help, but I've been thinking about it and there are potential problems. Can there be multiple entrances to one doors space? Another challenge is making algorithm that can figure out where are entrances to a room and correctly place doors.

I definitely agree that it would be awesome, still not sure if i will do it, as it seems quite difficult, but i am considering it

I remember two add-ons that used Doors tech, it was a tardis addon & Gmans teleporting suitcase. I wonder if you could check the code of those to learn something?:ppg_brain:

I've looked into doors and it doesn't have any documentation on how to implement it, so i'd have to figure out how it works by looking at safe space code, that might be hard. It's a very cool idea, but I'd like to focus on other projects, maybe making a map, so probably not going to do this idea

That reminds me, image if this used the doors/safe space framework for some stuff, like if you make a dark fountain in a room, it checks where the doors are & makes a portal to a big space with said tech from safe space. Might be hard to implement but at least it has a framework to use

The animation for fountains in this addon is fully procedural, meaning it's made from code, no 3d modeling required. Unfortunately i can't do the same for big ones, their shape and animation is much more complex

i just found out that if you are below the area that makes the out of bounds area like in gm_bigcity the fountain will go through the roof of the map and make a big beam of light out of bounds.

you should make it where in the new map you make when using 'THE KNIGHTS CROWBAR map changer" a dark fountain in a random location spawns and pressing E on the fountain when you have a new item called "SOUL" you can choose what map to go back to!

Oh yeah, the whole "scaling for different resolutions" thing is so annoying. I typically use a lower resolution than my native resolution to save on fps but it makes some stuff massive on the screen.

This reminds me of when i once tried to make undertale battle system in gmod, it's possible but quite hard. A lot of basic things like collision detection and scaling to different monitor resolution had to be programmed, it's kinda like making a game without a game engine. I sometimes want to try it again, but it's somewhat useless because gmod is 3d and undertale battles are 2d

As stated in a previous comment by the developer, they won't be adding titan spawning as it's way too hard to do, most they could do is make it spawn a titan NPC if someone makes one
it would be cool to spawn a titan if you open too many fountains at the same time.
