Please note with eu5 coming out soon and 1.10 coming out, I decided these timeline mods won't be updated anymore as there is no need for these mods. My submod will still be updated that has a lot of the features this mod has. Thank you all for your support, I will try to make new Victoria 3 projects.

Ya ik it's high but it was a difficult balancing decision. For now I just added a disease mechanic to nerf population growth.

Maybe we really should impose some kind of global temporary penalty on population growth? After all, on average, the planet’s population is currently growing by 1.5–4% per year! That’s abnormally high by medieval standards.

Ya it's supposed to, it's doing a bunch of calculations with the performance options. It's a vanilla engine thing as the decentralized nations annex each other.

I'll be taking a break from the extended timeline series as I got a lot of the bugs fixes and a lot of the features I want added in, I don't really know what else to do. So now I want to focus on making a mod for myself for CK3 that makes the game challenging and more dynamic in ways. If anyone is interested, I'll link it here.

I was playing as Granada. I cant form Andalusian Empire even though I can release them as a subject. Also, the Andalusian Empire primary culture are Bedouin and Visigoth which bit not logical when you have Andalusian as a custom primary culture for Granada.

For those who were running the ai improvement enabled game mode, this new update I think should drastically improve performance since I did some terrible coding with the ai, let me know if you guys see increased performance. I am interested in knowing if that was the culprit. Also the culture merging game rule has better logic for primary culture for those who use it!

You should use the performance mode options I made in the game rules, try uncentralized country merge first, if that doesnt work then also do the culture merge game rule

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but every time I've started on the World map and unpaused time, the game is VERY slow, laggy. I've verified files, disabled all mods, nothing seems to work. Any guess? Would really love to try this :)

The annexation game rule gets big lag at the first day of every month for a few months for whatever reason, can't say why but it takes my powerful cpu like 10 seconds to process it so if you have a weaker cpu you might have to wait some time. There is also more cpu intensive game rules I added like ai improvement you might want to disable.

Also note that technology diffusion also happens at the same rate as in the vanilla version, I think.
(If a neighbouring country has a technology that you don't have, knowledge of it is passively added to you) and that ultimately speeds up the diffusion of technologies more than I think you intended by adding the debuff.
