I've noticed an error in RimPy on a fresh install of your mod: The mod-manager doesn't recognise the alternativePackageIds section, so it thinks that Adamas.PlantGenetics is missing.

Maybe it would make sense to have "Adamas.PlantGenetics.Continued" as the packageId in modDependencies , and the original "Adamas.PlantGenetics" in alternativePackageIds ? Changing them around in the About.xml file worked locally for me.

To whoever reads this: Never put auto-sowing and booming on something like rice or radishes unless you have somehow contained the growing area or a pawn dedicated to only growing. My rice was expanding and expanding to every piece of fertile ground it could find... be warned!

Also could you please add a gene that makes plants give oxygen similar to Archo trees?

@Laguna and @CJ, the wiki has been updated + all plants now have descriptions, so hopefully there will be less confusion!

+1 to wondering what "Dense" does - found it on my haygrass!

Edit - Figured it out, dense adds a cover stat to the plants! 10% to start out with :)

@JamEstHamEst Thank you for updating and maintaining the mod. Enjoying my first play through with it. Is there a chance the wiki will be updated? I found 'Dense' but it does not appear present on the wiki.

I can confirm that a higher number of generations is possible:

As Jam indicated, it might be an issue with the Hydroponic trait.

@Cute cat, I reckon hydroponic/pottable might have an issue, so I have to look into how thoses traits work in the base mod because they have always been an issue!

@JamEstHamEst it still works, but on other note is there like some invisible limit cause after like the 3 generation it just dosn't wanna let me select the plant, like i have haygrass whit booming and hydroponic on it and it works but when i add regrowing to it it just dosn't want to let me select it. like i can breed it, just when i try to select the plant in the hydroponic it just dosn't show up

@Cute Cat, in testing it still worked even when I was getting that "needs the old version" error, however I don't use Rimsort so I'm not too sure. I'll have to do some cheeky testing but I'm confident she'll be right.

hey i also have this problem but even after making sure its after the continued version its still saying that it needs the discontinued one will it still work even if its giving me an error in rimsort?

@Novan, you know what I just realised, I made the mod be able to require either mod, but not have the "load after" tag for both mods, so cheers for bringing this up! Should work proper now!

i did on both this and plant genes continued and it still asks for the discontinued one, i'm just manally placing it below plant genetics continued and it seems to work so not really an issue

the mod is asking me for adamas plant genetics and it's showing up error in rimsort if i have the continued version.

Gaurenlen does not, I sort of look at it as a balancing thing, longer lasting plants get more mini dryads, but if you think thats not the way to go let me know!

ur plant species is loading in the mod defs if i remove a+a+b+c I cant plant a+a+b+c+d i have to leave the base gene or i will get a stuck of this bug by unable to plant

this bug can't be solve by backtracking old save

Also, does Gauranlen scale w/ the plants lifespan?
I've got a self sowing rose bush with two generations of Gauranlen, and it says it'll take 30 days to spawn a dryad.
Roses only have a lifespan of a week

it made me cant plant new gene on the planting zone
for example:
i got a+b gene in the zone when i clone a+b+c in this zone and finish it i can find a+b+c in the plant list it disappeared

it seems that ambrosia reduces yield not by 0.1x, but 0.01x

Suggestions:
Gene that increases cleanliness.
Gene that changes produce to Raw Meat.

Wow this new genes are sick. Now my whole map is a field of self growing fire-proof dandelions. If there were a "antiseptic" gene that increased cleanliness to offset the terrain i'd convert most base floors with glowing self-sowing Traversable Blissful Long living Resilient Beautiful dandelions.

A suggestion - "a plant genetics addon" in the mod title would help more fans of the base mod find this treasure

@ANIManiak God I would love to, but I don't know how to, descriptions are pretty much at the top of my dream updates, but UI alludes me. I'll try hunker down and figure it out when 1.6 proper releases because, damn, are you preaching to the choir right now!

Great addon:cozybethesda:, but I beg you: add a descriptive table for traits in the mod settings or somewhere else. It's a real pain to constantly check the wiki until you learn all of them.

@JamEstHamEst there were no error when opening the bench but i found this error in the logs
"Exception registering RimWorld.Plant RimWorld.Plant in loaded object directory with unique thing ID -1: System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added. Key: -1"

@JamEstHamEst Well you have like three flavors of horrid gasses to choose from, harvest drops to lure them in, and soothe smell can cause wandering mental breaks to keep them there?

Naturally this kind of manmade horror beyond comprehension is a perfect fit for RimWorld, and accidentally creating a field of death rice almost balances some of the more OP genes.
