Just look up "alien blaster" in the gmod workshop and you'll find some fallout alien weapon sweps. It's not as good as a martian melter like you said, That'd be literally so awesome. But it gets the job done if you gotta make a screenshot with the alien holding a gun.

there's also the gory trading cards from the 50s. You can see a dog zapped to shit in a tiny lil card with a funny story. Truly we have strayed from art.
