A while back me and you where talking about you trying to make a starbase mod for STNC

I just found this one today been using it all day what i did was just go in the files and DEL everything except the Shipsize folder and the UI folder some problem with star-bases not having weapons/power so i just made the senser array give 5k power and it mostly works now

Slightly Larger Starbases [4.1] https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/id=3168007310

If i remember right you could not even get the UI to show up when you where changing it

Do you have anything editing the "default_zone" in common/zones? If other mods edit that same file, mine might have issues overwriting, in that case you can set it slightly lower on the modlist and try again

@Warcommissar1 First, do you have other mods enabled? If so, what's the mod's place in the load order? Or are you using other UI mods? This one specifically is made to not work with any other UI (planet_view.gui rather) editing mods.

am I missing something, no extra building slots

确实好用,简单粗暴有效。Cool

Whatever works. This one I made for myself, since any other mod for UI or slots crashed with STNC, so this one is the most barebones UI mod possible for compatibility. All it does is edit the default_zone, add more rows to the primary_zone gui and extend its length, add a scrollbar and reposition the zone squares up top so they don't get in the way of the building slots. If you have a mod that works better for what you need, go ahead. This is the "last chance" "fallback" option for getting slots when nothing else works.

Well I was looking for a mod that works since the last patch, not really for 60 slots, I'd been happy with 9 ( https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3486446795 ) ---So I am going to give this one a try but I don't play STNC :steammocking:
Icelord 22 Sep @ 6:12pm
@Consigned to Oblivion ya i mostly use it for STNC because its the only one that works for that mod

but right now most of the biger ones like the BPV one that works on the normal game are also broken so your the only one game wide right now that works at least for RIGHT now "better planet view" will likely be updated soon

Honestly, I have no clue why people would use this, but I guess no one else got a STNC more building slots mod, and nothing was out there that wasn't a full GUI mod that crashed instantly, so here I am. Welcome to the world of patching patches for other mods.

@Icelord Updated, tested vanilla and STNC. No clue why they keep making small changes, but it's annoying when the only thing I can do is overwrite the planetview gui file, and I have to scrap my file, replace it with the newest vanilla and mess around with reload_gui until it looks about right.

@Consigned to Oblivionn down again man hope they stop messing with the planet interface so you wont have to patch it every time like this
Consigned to Oblivion  [author] 22 Aug @ 10:05pm
@Icelord yeah, I was making a hoi4 owb add-mod from scratch and just haven't checked on any of my mods :P pdx coding requires copious amounts of alcohol and sleep deprivation
Icelord 22 Aug @ 4:04pm
@Consigned to Oblivion :) don't worry to much you got it fixed before most of the major mods got there stuff fixed

1 day down is not bad at all

i just rolled back and played on 4.0.021 for a day

Also please use @ me or I don't get notifications, and I haven't played stellaris in a while, so I had no clue this wasn't even working anymore.
Consigned to Oblivion  [author] 22 Aug @ 4:28am
@Icelord Yeah, we all hate pdx coding. From hoi4 to Stellaris, I don't check on a mod for a couple months and it's broken. Should be fixed, I just took the new vanilla planet_gui and messed around a couple hours to re-add the scrollwheel and building slots.
Consigned to Oblivion  [author] 22 Aug @ 3:24am
No idea why I had no notifications, I rarely check on my few mods. I'll check today.
Icelord 21 Aug @ 10:27am
after checking they updated the planet_view.gui and the planet_view.gfx today i think that is what broke this mod
Icelord 21 Aug @ 10:09am
:( broke today no idea what they changed but any time i click on a planet with this loaded it crashes
Icelord 18 Jun @ 9:55am
might try the dependencies but put the mod your making first in the load order thats the last idea i have maybe if it loads first it will over write there UI
Consigned to Oblivion  [author] 18 Jun @ 2:40am
I tried setting up dependencies but it still refuses to follow them.
Icelord 17 Jun @ 3:17pm
strange sounds about like what happens when i was useing the other 2-3 mods i have for the starbase gui it always just loads the base STNC one over it somehow

any idea if there is a command to force an item to be loaded last? maybe that is what the STNC guys are useing
Consigned to Oblivion  [author] 16 Jun @ 4:55pm
Adding slots to starbases isn't that hard, modifying ship_sizes that is. Problem is, regardless of how many things I change and use "reload_gui", nothing changes in the gui. The extra slots are there, but no matter what it won't recognize the gui changing and it loads the standard one with slots out of bounds :P
Icelord 16 Jun @ 3:52pm
Thanks for trying man not the end of the world this is still the best option by far for a UI mod for total conversion mods like STNC
Consigned to Oblivion  [author] 16 Jun @ 1:58am
@Icelord, I've tried pretty much everything that came to mind and couldn't get the scroll wheel working. I'll try the starbases next.
Icelord 10 Jun @ 10:48am
Thanks
Consigned to Oblivion  [author] 10 Jun @ 7:59am
It could theoretically be done, but my experience with modifying STNC is pretty limited, I'll give it a shot tomorrow.
Icelord 8 Jun @ 9:05pm
thanks for this it works great if you ever fix the scroll wheel it will be perfect

ever thought of doing something like this for the Starbase interface don't need 60 buildings and modules there but having more then 9 on STNC would be nice
