also apparently this mod really messes up the hungarian focus tree with the visuals glitching out
skoobeldoobel  [author] 24 Aug @ 8:55am
Of course, I could still make decisions that allow you to switch even for those nations, but frankly, it's surprisingly tedious and I don't really feel like doing it lol
skoobeldoobel  [author] 24 Aug @ 8:55am
@NiNjad912 The countries that have a choice to switch between vanilla and modded trees are countries that will eventually switch missions upon forming a nation.

So for example, you might want to play with the vanilla Timurid mission tree, but use the modded Persia tree, or vice versa. Or use the modded Holland tree, but vanilla Netherlands. The decision allows you to choose.

On the other hand, if you're playing as a country like Sweden, you can just turn off the mod if you don't want the modded tree. There's no flavor universalis Scandinavia mission tree for example, so the choice isn't too important.
NiNjad912 24 Aug @ 8:36am
why are many countries such as sweden, milan, and aragon forced to use the modded mission trees while others such as the holland can choose?
nicobellic1 8 Aug @ 10:19am
Thanks for the update! does it still have the "integration" with "trade goods expanded"?
SchGang 28 May @ 4:00pm
anbennar if you wish i have cool ideas if you want to hear them in pms after friend request?
skoobeldoobel  [author] 25 May @ 7:18am
@SchGang Probably not. I do plan on making my own mission trees, but it will probably be standalone, and also probably for anbennar
SchGang 25 May @ 5:18am
planning on adding new trees?
skoobeldoobel  [author] 25 May @ 2:08am
@epistimi I completely forgot about that, and you're right. I don't like removing stuff though, so I did decide to buff those ideas. Of course, considering vanilla byzantium ideas are already S-tier, making those new ideas worthwhile but not overpowered is a difficult thing lol. Let me know what you think of the changes (if you have already changed ideas in your game, these new ones should show up)
epistimi 25 May @ 1:20am
thanks for updating this mod. One suggestion:
Byzantium got an event to upgrade its national ideas which was suited for the older version (before dlc released), but it was improper now. Better to buff the upgraded ideas or just delete that event.
skoobeldoobel  [author] 24 May @ 2:23pm
@szymongiza Fixed
szymongiza 24 May @ 6:03am
One more thing. I can't give any privileges to Mamluk Aristocracy.
ohh, I see... Thank you for taking the time to clear that up.

id like to def give your mod a try then since its ACTUALLY compat.

enjoy ur night man.
skoobeldoobel  [author] 24 May @ 12:03am
@𝓢𝓷𝓸𝔀 ℬ𝓪𝓵𝓵 They used to be compatible (they were part of the expanded family), but they split from the expanded family a couple years ago I think? I think they were just doing too much with the mod, so it became impossible to properly ensure compatibility
tyvm,

but wait i never knew that?? How is Europa expanded not actually compatible?? i thought i literally see it in the main menu for the expanded family tree in eu4.
sumguy 23 May @ 2:32pm
I remember the old byz tree where you could instantly annex thrace if you controlled it during the first ottoman war so I hope that tree is in here xd
skoobeldoobel  [author] 23 May @ 12:51pm
@𝓢𝓷𝓸𝔀 ℬ𝓪𝓵𝓵 It's compatible with the expanded mods, except europa expanded (which isn't compatible with the rest of the expanded mods, anyway)
so is this compatible with the expanded modset and their missions?
DELSYM 22 May @ 5:13am
spent my first 800 hours exclusively playing this mod along with the rest of the expanded modset, thank you for bringing this back:income:
skoobeldoobel  [author] 21 May @ 8:33pm
@Anonimatus213 Fixed, thanks
Kaiser Froggo 21 May @ 5:39pm
we gotta censor the word J*B we cant be having slurs here
Anonimatus213 21 May @ 10:12am
Another ottoman national decision is missing, Provincial Government System, its needed for the reform the beys mission
FuntimeByzantium 21 May @ 4:20am
@Scullex Thanks for nothing.
Scullex 21 May @ 3:41am
read the desc.
FuntimeByzantium 20 May @ 11:17am
What mission trees that are in Flavor Universalis are missing in Missions Expanded?
Anonimatus213 19 May @ 3:39pm
I'll look out for any other mechanics missing, its good to have FU back anyways
skoobeldoobel  [author] 19 May @ 2:56pm
@Anonimatus213 Finally figured out what people were talking about (because there was no such decision in the mod). Apparently FU made use of a vanilla decision, that paradox now disables if you have the domination dlc lol. It's been fixed now, but now I'm paranoid there might be other vanilla changes I don't know about lmao

@TurtleShroom Any mod that have overlapping mission trees will have issues, but if they don't they should work (the expanded series, excluding europa expanded, works). However, taking a quick glance at Europa Expanded with this mod, it seems like many of the missions are working, but I probably wouldn't take the chance
TurtleShroom 19 May @ 11:31am
Does this Mod work with large Mods like the Europa/Missions Expanded Mod, or do you have to choose one or the other?
Anonimatus213 19 May @ 10:47am
After some playthroughs, I found the mod in very good shape, the only thing I am having touble with is the national decisions on the ottomans (such as Expand Devshirme system which is needed for a mission), I have the domination DLC and there are no other mods active
Talshiar 19 May @ 9:08am
mod works fine, disable your other mods @Suspect.

You can use it with any mod of the expanded mod series. Only exception: Europa Expanded

Keep it up skoobeldoobel, very good job!
skoobeldoobel  [author] 19 May @ 6:12am
@the.beast.ion Fixed!

@Suspect The mod does not support non-english languages, which is probably where most of your problems come from. Also sounds like you're using incompatible mods that messes with the mission trees (either that, or you don't have the domination dlc?)
Suspect 19 May @ 3:06am
as of 19th may. Many missions are 2x inside the mission trees, a lot of text is bugged (especially if you dont play english), a ton of mission requirements for nations are bugged, a lot of the ottom tree is bugged. This mod really is flawed to no end and i do not recommend using it. You dont want to play 1-2 hours into a gaming sessions just to realize that you cant complete any of the missions because of a bug in the mod. You restart. Pick another un-related nation with no extra flavor and it´s also bugged. Quiet frustrating. might revisit this mod in a few years if eu5 doesnt kill eu4
the.beast.ion 18 May @ 6:10pm
Playing Ottomans, getting "Janissaries compared to total army : X% influence" twice for the estate influence total
Nathe235 18 May @ 4:49pm
How many nations have unique mission trees?
Anonimatus213 18 May @ 3:18pm
Domination*
Anonimatus213 18 May @ 3:17pm
@skoobeldoobel I do have the omination DLC, but the event doesn't appear
Defence of the patience 2 18 May @ 6:27am
@ÅℭℨÅℽ Just from memory i'm pretty sure the Aragon and Dutch trees were not. Maybe Novgorod too?
ÅℭℨÅℽ 17 May @ 10:10pm
What mission trees were not merged in the Europa Expanded mod?
ÅℭℨÅℽ 17 May @ 10:10pm
Does this have a different Byzantium mission tree than Europa Expanded?
Regular Joe 17 May @ 9:05pm
i am so glad you did this, i loved FU and was really sad when it got removed
Aaronnum I 17 May @ 7:43pm
Can I play it alongside EU??
skoobeldoobel  [author] 17 May @ 4:51pm
@Ckasaron Just checked, and the rewards work
skoobeldoobel  [author] 17 May @ 3:13pm
@Ckasaron It does, and I haven't really touched those rewards at all, so whether it works or not kind of depends on if trade goods expanded has changed the names of certain trade goods. Otherwise it probably should work
Ckasaron 17 May @ 3:04pm
FU always had (to my recollection) mission rewards that varied depending on if you had TGE active or not.
skoobeldoobel  [author] 17 May @ 1:50pm
@Ckasaron Huh, I thought for sure EE had their own byz tree! Maybe I'm remembering a mission tree before they integrated FU.

I've given a couple nations (dutch minors and ardabil) the ability to pick between vanilla and FU mission trees with a decision that goes away by 1445. In addition, formable nations can also choose to form vanilla or FU version of the nations and get the respective mission trees. I can probably do it for more nations, but it's mildly tedious, so it'll have to wait.

Trade goods expanded should work? I probably should test it out though.
skoobeldoobel  [author] 17 May @ 1:44pm
@szymongiza Fixed. One too many brackets in the code. Btw, tips for the future, it's possible to just let events like that lapse if they don't give any options.

@zenavine
@Anonimatus213
Ottoman decisions seem to be working fine? I don't know exactly what you guys are referring to. The expand the devshirme decision only becomes available after you've triggered an event. Do you have the Domination dlc?
Anonimatus213 17 May @ 12:43pm
Expand the devshirme option doesn't appear
Ckasaron 17 May @ 11:13am
Holy shit man, thank you for updating this! While yes a few trees were ported into Europa Expanded from FU, many were not. EE has the FU Byz tree, the FU Netherlands, and the FU Hanseatic League are specific ones I know of off the top of my head.

EE allows people to pick if they want to use the PDX or EE tree for many nations. I use a mod enabling myself to use both simultaneously. I know some FU trees were not ported over - is it possible to have the FU tree replace the PDX one, enabled via a decision?

Lastly, I know FU had Trade Goods Expanded support baked in, does this updated version also do the same?
zenavine 17 May @ 10:02am
all of the ottoman decisions are also gone, like enact the devshirme system
szymongiza 17 May @ 8:39am
While playing Ottomans the event "Fate of Patriarchate" doesn't have any options so I can't click it out
