I intend to come back to add support for some other origins added by common mods a bit further on.
As it currently stands, the domed colony that you spawn with in that origin appears to have its colonisation date defined by the general "Catches habs + any other potential artificial starts" part of the better_colony_dates.2 event, meaning that it shows as being colonised hundreds to thousands of years before the start of the game, when realistically it'd be somewhere in the range of 10 to 50 years
You'd be able to check for the pd_habitat_start_colony flag that the colony starts with, meaning there won't be any error log spam from you checking for a nonexistent planet class when PD is disabled (planet class placeholders don't work due to the due to the DUPL bug)
Either way, thanks in advance for any response and thanks for the mod, despite its small scope I like the extra flavour that it adds to the game
I'm just glad that SOMEONE else thought what I was thinking
There is the Remnants rework from Distant Origin, which also has a lot of interactions with 'new colonies.'
There is also Basic Ordinary Origins which has one Origin called the Gate, which is in a similar position I believe to the Astral Rifts Origin World.
There's another pair of mods that some called More Origins Mod by Malthus, and Origins Expanded by Askil that haven't yet updated.
