For some reason it only drops my stuff when I shove objects like guns melees ammo piles etc. It wont work with the environment

those commands are not good replacements. like i understand that you drop your guns in a panic, so why not holding TAB and pressing E on a near by surface. ive tested this out before on a previous addon that did something similar to this "dropping the weapon" and the only time i made a mistake is when i Started Reviving while my scoreboard is up. holding tab and than pressing E instead of holding it doesn't cause too many issue's

Can it be change to shift(walk) + shove instead? I'm seeing it now as an annoyance when on a panic when you're holding E on something then an infected came close, your instinct will be to shove them which guarantees dropping your gun.

honestly is a pretty intuitive way of dropping items im just wondering if it could be only isolated to shoving the ground and not include objects. its been causing some jank bc id interact with a somthing while shoving and accidentally drop my stuff.

"for some reason", that's how the description says it works. Hold "E" and shove the ground. The "breathing distance" is because the shove is limited range. Shoving the air won't work, you have to shove part of the environment to trigger it.

I tested it out and see what's the problem of not dropping, I have to look on the ground or any surfaces near breathing distance and right click, that's how it works for some reason.

Hi friend, in my case it was solved, I don't know how xd, what I did was unsubscribe all the mods I had thinking it was some conflict but nothing, the only different thing I did was subscribe to this addon first, then the rest and it worked

Because you can’t bind it to a specific key, it has to be bound to an action (in this case, E is normally the USE action key, which is what I meant)

@坚果土拨鼠-六一尖叫版 so based on that, you can't set it to a specific key, like 'G'. But if you had an action bound to G, you can set the script to operate based on that action. That's why I chose E (usually the USE key), since you never normally shove things while holding it

7) Save the text file. Rename the root folder on your desktop to whatever you want.

8) Open "Left 4 Dead 2/bin" and scroll to the bottom. You'll see something called "vpk.exe". Drag and drop the folder from your desktop onto "vpk.exe". This will create a vpk file on your desktop with the same name as the folder.

9) Copy and paste your new vpk into "Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2/addons", unsubscribe from my workshop mod, and run your game.
