@armatus, I don’t understand your comment? Are you suggesting the users of this mod do what you said or are you making a suggestion to me as a developer of the mod?

this mod set all conveyors to 0/0 capacity and force enable "only sweep" checkbox.

I believe I've fixed this bug, new version 1.1 uploaded.

hi, sorry for the delay responding, was AFK - I _also_ have had that bug. I haven't been able to narrow down exactly when/why it happens. So it's not just you @zaunfinkrc.
zaunfinkrc 17 Aug @ 11:45am
I've been running the solution given by badger_ken for a while now and every now and then, there's some hickup with the disabled loader being loaded even while disabled (which, once it happens to a loader, is permanent). Once I manually disable the loader, it doesn't get loaded anymore.
I don't know if it's an interaction with another mod (I run quite a few, the only one that I know touches loaders is Customize Buildings) or a bug, but since ken's solution works for him, I'm guessing the former.
I don't know how to reproduce it. For example, it just happened to my pacu farm, but the same setup works perfectly fine in my drecko farm, leaving the extra egg on the floor while the incubator is occupied.

which edible are you using and what version of the mod? I've tried a variety of edibles and it seems to be working fine. They are not treated differently. Would be helpful to know which particular edible (and maybe it's weight, although i don't think that should make a difference).

Hi, it seems that the "not loading when disabled" logic doesn't apply to edibles.

thanks for the nice note, glad it'll work for you!

Oh, that's lovely! I'll go implement that in my new playthrough immediately, thank you!

hi, what I do to cover this egg corner case is have the output of the conveyor loader go through a flow meter with limit 1, where on overflow it dumps the excess back into the room, and then a filter gate resets the flow meter after X seconds (9 seems to work right). This way it always 'squeezes' the eggs out 1 at a time, regardless of weight, and then re-checks to see if it should squeeze a second, and then a third, etc. Needs a flow meter and a filter gate, but works perfectly, done it for thousands of cycles across dozens of games.

It should adress the egg issue, because that way even if the sweeper loads all the eggs, once the loader gets disabled (which seems to be the second the first egg gets on the conveyor belt and out of the room, I checked in my drecko farm), it'd just dump the rest on the floor, letting them incubate inside the stable. The conveyor belt does one egg at at time from what I can tell, so it should work.

thanks! if i allowed dumping as an option, but leaving the default the way it is so as to not avoid existin g builds, would that address the egg issue or not? I do want it to be useful for ranches.
zaunfinkrc 9 Jul @ 12:05am
I think - because it might break existing builds if it's just changed - the best option (if you're willing to do it, because it works fine with the way I set up things so it isn't really necessary, just QoL) would be a setting that allwos for either dumping on the floor (like storage bins do when you remove an item from their selection) or flushing into the rail network.

I don't know if it's even possible from the game itself to set storage amounts lower than 1 kg to fix the nymph and puft egg weight issue.
hl  [author] 8 Jul @ 11:51pm
hmm. i'm not sure what my options are ? Are you suggesting i change the behavior of the conveyor when disabled? Would it be preferable (in all cases?) to have the loader dump it's contents on the floor when disabled?
zaunfinkrc 8 Jul @ 9:14am
ETA: This is a problem for the egss that weigh under 1 kg, because you cannot set the number below 1 kg, so for pufts and bugs you still have to use the door

@hl I have a similar issue and if the commenter below has observed this in a critter farm, then it probably is the same issue as I have:
The sweeper loads several eggs at once when the loader activates unless you have the loader enabled first and then set the storage limit to the weight o a single egg of the species. Can't change the limit while it's disabled, but if you change first it works as it should, removing only one egg. I've been staring at my pacu farm's critter count for a while to figure that out^^

Apparently you also need to set your critter sensor one higher than the max you want, because it moves the last egg before the loader has moved the egg before that out of the room, meaning you end up with 1 less population than you want.

The "problem" really is that the loader dumps its contents onto the rail instead of the floor when emptying itself if loaded wrongly, but once you adjust for that it works perfectly.
hl  [author] 15 Jun @ 10:03am
the emptying when disabled is expected, but the whole point of this is that it shouldn't load the loader when disabled - is that not working as expected for you?
尘风 24 May @ 7:36am
This mod will empty the contents of the loader when disabled, and the robotic arm will load the loader when disabled.
