If you are still following this thread, I've managed to port the PPSh-41. It's not perfect, but works properly.

I don't want to give any promises, but I've noticed that someone made a PPSh-41 mod for Day of Defeat. If, and I mean IF, that game uses the same/similar rigging for weapons as HL2, I may be able to port it with working animations
Sometimes mods overwrite eachother. Try moving the pistol replacement at the very top of your modlist in the "Workshop" tab in the "Extras" menu. This usually solves the issue. And make sure it's checked as "Enabled"
Yes. Simply copying the firing animation and renaming it in .QC file will do the trick.
Since I will be removing the redundant reload anim, I can add the recoil as well.
i know but my pistol allways stays the same even when i have a replacement for it.

Yes. This mod only changes the SMG. The Pistol remains unchanged
