It works! Thank you again! ^_^

Too late, I already patched it in. :mean_creep:
It's a soft requirement anyways, so if the game doesn't find it it'll just skip it, no harm done.
And yeah, no problem!

I'll take whimpers over not having a beautiful, giant ship X3

Bless you sir! Thanks for all the legwork you put in here! Extremely appreciative!

"I also have Ranger's 'No Whining' mod that turns the Lyceen whimper into a growl."

Bingo, there's a comment under it saying what it "just stopped working randomly", so I unpacked it, and lo' and behold, it's just straight up a full mod replacement.

I'll add it to the load order requirements, though goddamn that's an intrusive way to change that!

Taehl's Teleport Beam! I have that one and it effects numerous races, Lyceen included. I also have Ranger's 'No Whining' mod that turns the Lyceen whimper into a growl.

Just unpacked the first 2 and they don't seem to have anything related, no folders or anything.
NPC ships I have installed myself and they are actually considered dungeons by the game and so wouldn't do anything to player ships.

The only culprit I can think of would be either FU, or the standalone B.Y.O.S mod, or any other mod what patches multiple species at once. Do you have any of these?

I have the 'Small hands and fluffy tail' and 'Lyceen add-ons' mod. Also 'More NPC ships'. Don't know if that last one has anything to do with it though...

Lemme think... Anything what changes the lyceen ship files, for one. And by that I mean the mod just has those files in it, deliberatly or not. Or maybe patches something inside the species' ship folder what it shouldn't.

Or it can be a species related issue. Say, a mod is presented as a 'fix' for something unrelated, but under the hood it's just a full copy of the lyceen mod, but with those fixes implemented.
Which could interfere by overwriting both mods, since I only included the main mod as a load-order requirement.

Nope. Didn't work. XnX

What kind of mods would be mucking with it?

That's the weird thing... it had been working, then I added a couple more mods, but even removing those didn't cut it. It wouldn't work again. I'm gonna try a fresh reset...

Yeah it still does, I tried swapping ships in and out, deleting .shipworld (and not) and it all worked (and broke) as expected.

One thing I noticed though is when you don't delete the .shipworld before changing ships, it will look broken when you load that character until you put the ship it expects back.
So if I were to guess you might've just deleted the wrong .shipworld file.

Hm, it's supposed to just overwrite the ship files when loading a save. Are there any mods what could interfere possibly? I'll check if changing ship on existing characters still works in the meantime.

Alas, it doesn't seem to be working. I tried the 'Delete the Shipworld file' thing, but that didn't cut it. I keep coming back to the default (aggravatingly small) Lyceen ship.

Happy to oblige
