But this is your Mod thread so only if you say i can post it i will :D
Yeah i wrote evrything in one line sorry :D
It was a little bit tricky ^^
I installed a tool for monitoring folders for evry change happen.
That way i find out what happens if you subscripe a Workshop Mod, it downloads first into a temp folder and than create a Folder into Workshop with the AppID for the game.
Inside this Folder it creates a Folder with the ID of the mod into this one it puts the downloaded mod as a .bin file.
Than i inspected the .bin file (your mod) with lots of tools. Filetype checker, hexeditor, tried many unpacker tools and so on.
After all this leads me to nowhere i opened it straight with notepad++
First line give me a hint.
WELLINGTON_POSTPROCESS.UPK P[ Áƒ*ž\ii”
I searched the game files and found the original one.
I remembered that a file has changed in the Userdata Folder, so i simply rename the .bin file to WELLINGTON_POSTPROCESS.UPK and put it inside that folder.
Closed the game restart and it's gone.....
Checked the folder again no WELLINGTON_POSTPROCESS.UPK inside.
Easy copy the file again AND make it Read Only :D
Started the game several times and your mod got always loaded if you select modded game (via steam)
Selecting normal game and you got vanilla ^_^
Sorry for that long text but i wanna explain everything in detail because you ask :)
Have a nice Day.
Ps. I wrote a Tutorial in Steam Discussions Thread
5) Copy that file to: Fable Anniversary\WellingtonGame\UserData
(it's the folder where steam downloaded your games)
6) Rename the copied *****_legacy.bin file to: WELLINGTON_POSTPROCESS.UPK
(be sure that you have enabled show File Extension in Windows you MUST enable that first !!!!)
7) Make this file ReadOnly / Write Protected.
(If you forget this the following will happen: the game launches and load the modded file and delete it... I don't know why but if you quit and restart Fable next time it can't find any mod files and loads original unmodded files.... )
8) Now everytime you launch your game (modded option via steam launch) everything looks like it should.
0) You need to download the free DLC for modding first
1) subscripe to this Workshop mod (easy)
2) go to your SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\288470
3) this mod has Workshop ID 345693785 so you should see that folder and open it.
