While the dragons cannot fly on they're own unless carried or go off an edge, you can manually fly yourself with SPACE and W.
Along with putting Howling Monstrosity in "FLESHY: Ruins", because it was made as a bonus NPC for it.

1. Why don't a dragons fly on their own? I always have to posses them in order to make them fly.
