Hello, just wondered if there is a way to makke notoriety not trigger when killing NPCs and let Wandering NPCs just keep spawning.

I found the problem. Out of the 260 mods I have, the pizza delivery guy was the culprit.

Have you tried disabling all the other mods, and trying just this? while you're at it, type this in console: "developer 2" it will start to show debug stuff and If you can do the following:
1. After you type developer 2, start on a multiplayer server (not singleplayer)
2. Try activating the notoriety to 1 star (manually or kill something)
3. The console should start spamming a bunch of texts about spawning and I want you to copy and paste maybe 40 lines? (The more the better)
4. Do you see any debug boxes around when your notoriety is on? (green boxes or red boxes and lines towards your position)

This could help me troubleshoot through my spaghetti codes

Here is a list of what I have already tried:
* Configuring the spawn distance: I've tried all min/max distance settings, and I've also tried setting it in meters and what I believe are "Hammer units."
* Using spawn platforms: I've configured the mod to try spawning enemies on the platform and throughout the map, but it doesn't work.
* Editing faction settings: I've tried different spawn distances for custom factions.
* Testing in different environments: I've tested on different maps, reloaded them, and tried both singleplayer and multiplayer.
* Making sure the map has navigation: I've confirmed that the maps I'm using have both navigation nodes and a navigation mesh.

I'm having a problem with the enemy spawn feature of the mod. I've installed it today, and everything else seems to be working correctly: the notoriety system works (I gain wanted stars when killing the configurable wandering NPCs), and the factions become hostile.
​However, the enemy spawn feature is not working at all. I've tried everything I can think of, but no enemies spawn on the map, and the console shows no errors. The NPCs I have killed were spawned manually by me, not by the mod's system. Any help would be appreciated.

It just me or the new update broke the mod cause i dont see the notoriety system but i see somekind of loadout point shop from the other mod of your instead

Ik Ur busy with all these people who don't know how to use the mod or have errors but you should add the ability to make designated areas where NPC's should spawn. Or even areas where only specific NPC's spawn, (i.e. manhacks come out of vents ) but thats a little complex. I'm not going to lie I use this mod as more of a increasing-difficulty waves of enemies pseudo-gamemode

Is there a way to edit the list of wandering NPCs? I want more frequent wandering NPCs from this mod and tighter controls on what gets to spawn as a wandering NPC.

I watched Necros's video about this and the mod automatically added the factions like resistance, combine, etc, but when I got this it didn't automatically add those. Do I have to add them myself?

The wandering NPCs aren't spawning. Not even the police after getting 5 stars. This is strange because background NPCs works fine for me.

Theres an option for you to create your own 'custom' npc in the faction creation tab. Includes spawnflag field, in which i hope would work if you try to add it :magicat:

Hey, would it be possible to add the ability to set spawnflags for NPCs? I noticed Metrocops from spawnmenu always drop a health vial on death while those spawned by your system don't. Letting players configuring flags for that would make dealing with waves more balanced and fun

i had planned on making the changes myself originally, but i actually found a better method to do what i wanted to do. it's possible it could cause performance issues as you predict, but i don't think it will since my system is based on a lack of a faction to begin with.

players aren't assigned one, and are instead granted one based on their actions.
shoot a combine soldier? you're a rebel.
shoot a rebel? the combine like you now.
meanwhile, zombies and antlions will always attack no matter what. however, i'd like to make the bug bait actually work and be something players can earn.

according to the developer commentary, the bugbait is an entirely scripted entity however so this might not work at all.

I only had a mindset of it being single player and i cannot have testing with multiplayer. Also doing individual notoriety would cause performance issue imo same problem as having different factions active at the same time.... Also I dont feel like adding contents for this mod anymore :slimehungry:.

is there any way to make this target specific players?
when one player harms a metro cop, all of the combine attack all of the players, which i hate.
i want them to specifically target the players who attack the combine, because then someone could just keep stirring the pot for fun and make the entire server a warzone all the time.

i want that conflict to be dynamic.

My notoriety takes awhile to go up, I get stuck at 1 star for 30 minutes, any way to make it so my notoriety goes up faster?

Ahh i think it is the 'clear notoriety if the tagged npcs die' option, its possibly ticked on

It isn't that, because it'll just end while only on 1 star. I think what's happening is that the other wandering NPCs get killed by the spawning ones, which confuses the mod and causes it to clear my notoriety, because it only does it while they're enabled.
