You shouldn't have to, seem like my attempt to fix it didn't work :(. do the slot appear a locked or do they don't appear at all?

still not showing up for me after building the upgrade. do i need to rebuild the infirmary?
Psider  [author] 5 Mar @ 12:56pm
Updated the mod the fix the problem when adding the class to a game in progress, the slot should appear in the clinic now

@Psider. I just finished my first mission using a skill with a HP cost; At the end of the mission I did NOT get a flawless rating, and my Bio-Op had light wounds. I'm thinking it might be a incompatibility with Sensible Wound Times . Any chance you might be able to get them working together? That'd be cool. I love the unique mechanics of this and am looking forward to using ALL of the skills. Preferably without a healer following me around.

On a different note; I too am running LWOTC/Ted Jam and Gene Mods. When starting a new game the the slots and functions all appeared properly. On an existing game I was able to make them appear by deleting the infirmary and rebuilding it using the console. Maybe this information will be helpful to you and/or future players. Anyway, thanks, and keep up the good work.

Dang
Psider  [author] 26 Feb @ 3:04pm
probably not since someone else have the same issue, my guess is that it may have to do with adding the mod to a campaign already in progress.
Zakzahn 26 Feb @ 2:51pm
I have the Gene Therapy mod, so maybe that's conflicting?
Flashburn⌛ 26 Feb @ 11:16am
No, nothing except LWOTC. I have some Mod Jam mods but nothing that modifies the Infirmary.
Psider  [author] 26 Feb @ 10:41am
is there another mod that add slot to the infirmary being used? that may be what is causing the issue
Flashburn⌛ 26 Feb @ 9:43am
I'm having the same issue in a Mod Jam environment and installed partway through the game. The option to upgrade the Infirmary is there but there is no 3rd slot to train a Bio Op after purchasing it.
Psider  [author] 26 Feb @ 7:04am
is there 3 soldier slot in the infirmary? one to remove negative trait and two to train Bio operative
Zakzahn 25 Feb @ 10:47pm
I've bought the infirmary upgrade but see no option to train a new Operative. Have I missed something? I've installed it part way through a campaign, would that affect it?
Thanks.

@Psider. One wants to be careful when using "[WOTC] Gremlins Grab Loot". The gremlins do try to remotely pick the essence and, of course, the essence disappears and it is waisted. One makes the mistake once, when not paying enough attention. Nothing really important, but you might want to look at it when you have time.
I have also noted that the time indicator flickers sometimes. It seems to be only a graphical glitch, without real consequence.
I like this class. I'll keep reporting what I find when the bio_op participate to a mission.
Jestimac 22 Feb @ 1:25pm
@Psider. This is more or less what I suspected. It is good that you thought about it.
On another subject, I really like the screen displaying the number of corpses available. It is both simple and comprehensive.
Psider  [author] 22 Feb @ 12:54pm
Yes, reinforcements don't drop essence ,this is to prevent grinding for stats. This is done by giving an invisible debuff to all foe at the start of the mission that make them drop essence so that any that get added later don't drop any.
Jestimac 22 Feb @ 12:45pm
@ Psider. First mission with a Bio_Op. I have been able to collect some "essence" but I have noticed that the corpses provide essence during the "active" part of the mission only.
When I can (ie if my soldiers are in reasonable shape), I often lay an ambush around the active evac zone, in order to get some easy kills from the reinforcements with the overwatch advantage.
It did not seem to work here. When the evac was active, my ambush did not provide any essence even if I killed the first wave of reinforcements.
Is there a cap on the number of essence points one can collect during a mission ? Or is it active only until the evac is ready ?
Congratulations for the class icon by the way. It is quite nice.
To be continued...

Thanks. I'll provide a feedback when I have given the class a try. Rgds
PS Well done, this is an interesting idea.
Psider  [author] 20 Feb @ 9:25am
I haven't tested introducing them in an existing campaign but it should work fine
Psider  [author] 20 Feb @ 9:16am
OnIy rookie can be trained since this is intended as a variation of the PSI operatives. I designed them to act as a "combo" support for other classes, toxic mist forced move work with the gunner area suppression, Psi disruption is intended to used with void rift, nerve staple allow ranger and templar to easily kill unit with melee, grey goo can setup a devastating fan fire, flashbang help the bio operative kill unit with merciless execution. and web shooter can trap units after blowing their cover.

I did a few campaign with the classes but balancing is hard, the main thing I would nerf is life drain and force a cap on HP (since it can be ridiculous if you get too many essence that boost it)
Jestimac 20 Feb @ 8:42am
Thank you for the answer. Yes, it is a lot clearer with the description paragraph.
Corpses management is going to be an interesting challenge.
I assume you have tested the class to finetune it. The abilities do suggest some kind of jack of many trades, always acting before the other squadmates. Am I correct ?
Two other questions :
a/ No problem introducing the class in an existing campaign ?
b/ Only rookies can be trained of course ?
Psider  [author] 20 Feb @ 5:28am
I deleted the first paragraph of the description by mistake when uploading the mod, this should be a lot clearer now
Psider  [author] 20 Feb @ 5:24am
You need an infirmary upgrade to train rookie into bio operative, similar to psi operative. The upgrade require advent trooper autopsy and training bio operative cost 4 trooper corpse each
Jestimac 20 Feb @ 3:56am
Interesting idea. How does one get these units ? Can they be promoted as Bio Op Class through the GTS ?
It would also be useful to clarify what kind of weapons they are allowed to use.
I'll definitely try in my next run.
