Check carefully in the research tab. If you’re using the Vanilla Expanded series, there are cases where research is required.

uhm i got the mod but i'm not seeing any of the new storage, only the base vanilla one
bradson 21 Oct @ 2:41pm
@若彗 You copy-pasted the same comment into adaptive storage framework's comment section, so I'll just copy the answer here too: This mod doesn't contain any patches or other kinds of code for the right click menu. I'd recommend profiling with dubs analyzer to find the offending mod in your list.

Please don't just wildly paste the same message under every mod you subscribed to. Use a troubleshooting channel on discord if you need help with that process

This is such an awesome mod, thanks for the upload! I really love the weapon racks in particular!
seobongzu  [author] 17 Oct @ 6:57pm
@「月」
It works the same as the vanilla shelf.
「月」 17 Oct @ 5:25pm
Do things decay while in storage? I threw some food in a crate and noticed it's still there after a WHILE.
Hehe face 16 Oct @ 2:37pm
I'M FREAKIN' OUT ALL UR MODS ARE TOO DARN GOOD AHHHHHHHHH
harkonian 15 Oct @ 10:25am
Ah I missed that. Thanks!
seobongzu  [author] 15 Oct @ 8:17am
@harkonian
Some storage requires research.
harkonian 15 Oct @ 5:29am
Love the mod! For some reason though, in my current save, not all sbz storage items are tere. For example the meat hook is nowhere to be found. Any ideas?
seobongzu  [author] 14 Oct @ 3:59am
@Xercaine
I saw your comment late. To make a 1x1 building two stories, it seems you have no choice but to limit it to 2 stacks, since it can only be stacked in one direction per tile. It’s like the Fridge in [sbz] Fridge.
Xercaine 12 Oct @ 7:44pm
Hey seobongzu! Random question, but do you know if 2-tier 1x1 shelves are possible in ASF? I've been trying it out myself and can't get it to work, just though I'd ask someone with experience.

The rimworld server has a troubleshooting channel where people can help with deciphering logs, though even there it'd be better to massively trim down the modlist first
bradson 28 Sep @ 7:53am
@Schadenfreude That log has 563 mods and many 10s of 1000s of errors, of which most are about one or more mods trying to access functions from 1.5 or older in 1.6. It's not visible what in there could be connected to storage when having that much noise, and it's certainly not this mod, which doesn't even contain code.

Remove outdated mods, try to get a modlist to a state where the log doesn't immediately fly open on startup, and when reporting bugs please try to do some research on what the conflict could be about. No mod author is gonna want to test out some user's 563 mods to try find some obscure other mod that is only broken for that one user.
Schadenfreude 28 Sep @ 6:02am
Every time I load the game, after a certain amount of playtime (I can't determine what exactly triggers this, or if it's seemingly random), the UI for SBZ storage items becomes bugged. This doesn't happen to any other storage item, be it vanilla or modded.

I become unable to select desired stored items and clicking the storage priority also doesn't work anymore.

The storage items retain their setting, and I can copy the settings over successfully, but altering the settings becomes impossible, until a full game restart.

God, thank you for all your hard work. Honestly, you saved my sanity.
Bunuffin 22 Sep @ 10:18am
Any chance to get a bigger book storage?
Rattle B0nes 20 Sep @ 8:55pm
crazy how this has become the most popular mod of all time
Nefarious Byte 20 Sep @ 2:28pm
@seobongzu Would you consider making the graphic of the drum slightly smaller? Or maybe much smaller, but with multiple drums? As-is, it looks kind of huge compared to pawns.
ohluitvaenri 17 Sep @ 6:01am
@Mrook its probably not better architect menu since i use it with this mod fine, it is probably progression storage
seobongzu  [author] 17 Sep @ 5:17am
update: Adding safe and drum. Requires Machining research.
Mrooky 17 Sep @ 5:11am
@bradson thanks for info, I will head to the Better Architect Menu comments
bradson 16 Sep @ 9:21pm
@Mrooky One or two of ferny's mods shuffle around architect menu entries. It's not this here doing that, as you've even seen yourself when you tried deactivating the mod
Mrooky 16 Sep @ 2:25pm
Mhh, I suddenly lost the ability to build 90% of the storages, they simply stop showing in the menu, even the vanilla ones. I can build some, like weapon racks etc. but the pallets, display cabinets etc are all gone from the menu. The interesting thing is that the storages I've already built are still in my colony, usable, I just can't build copies. The problem doesnt exist on new saves. When I disabled Neat Storage, I got a bunch of NULLs logs, which is expected, but vanilla storages were still gone.
Paladin 13 Sep @ 12:50pm
I love your storage mod my storage looked so bad before your mod but now it looks way better <3

@Skykiller
Not at all. Enjoy the game :spacehamster:
Skykiller 12 Sep @ 5:06am
..and thank you btw !
Skykiller 12 Sep @ 5:05am
It was indeed a stupid question ; ). In the french version of the game it only says "paint walls" or "paint floor" so I assumed it didn't work on furnitures but I was wrong, I should have tried. Sorry for bothering you.
seobongzu  [author] 12 Sep @ 3:47am
@Skykiller
Just dye it.
Skykiller 12 Sep @ 3:42am
Sorry for the stupid question: in the screenshots we can see red large crates or perfect white display shelves. How do you change the color of the furnitures apart from changing the material used (but as far as I know there is no red material ?).
seobongzu  [author] 10 Sep @ 11:15pm
@Lions
Do you mean it’s using food from the fridge as an ingredient for nutrient paste? This seems to happen because all fridges are treated as hoppers. Please place it away from the dispenser.
Lions 10 Sep @ 11:01pm
I found a bug with at least the large fridge. If it is placed next to a nutrient paste dispenser and a pawn uses the paste dispenser, it will also grab a meal from the fridge. If the fridge is not touching the nutrient paste dispenser, it works as intended. I've attached an imgur link with what I mean

@CrazyOatmeal Reel's has arbitrary limitations. This is a more lax with what you can store in what. At least from what I've seen.
Busutsoon2 9 Sep @ 7:51am
사랑합니다 서봉주씨.
CrazyOatmeal 8 Sep @ 11:37am
So what's the difference between this mod and reel's expanded storage
bradson 4 Sep @ 2:45pm
This adds buildings, not the vanilla stockpiles. It doesn't do anything that could affect them
Rovstam 4 Sep @ 1:12pm
idk if this mod's the culprit, but biocoded is being ignored in every stockpile.
seobongzu  [author] 3 Sep @ 4:26pm
@Blackwell
Most likely.

@Freedom's Flame
Try using 'Adaptive Storage – Global Settings'. I’ve heard it has that kind of functionality.
Blackwell 3 Sep @ 4:03pm
Does this work with Medieval Overhaul storage too?
Freedom's Flame 2 Sep @ 9:02pm
I'm sure this has been asked before, but if I wanted to add an item category to a storage object is there a config for that? I use Yayo Combat, which adds ammo, but because your item categories for storage objects seem to be hardcoded new item categories from mods aren't included.
seobongzu  [author] 30 Aug @ 7:38am
@Zaximus Rex
I’ll probably do one more update (planning to add a few buildings), and I’ll consider it then. Or I might make another storage mod. Or maybe I won’t. I’m not really sure how it’ll turn out.
Zaximus Rex 30 Aug @ 7:32am
I'm using cherry picker and holding off from removing Reel's storage entirely just for the stone block piles and wood log piles. I enjoy the aesthetic and feel they make a lot of sense to have their own specific storage structure. So this is just my humble request that one day we may get something similar with sbz. This mod seems to be better balanced to stock storage capacities and I would really love to prune other storage mods in favor of this.
e.b 29 Aug @ 10:58am
Thanks, that's awesome I'll give it a try!
Swatch 29 Aug @ 9:13am
@seobongzu
Apologies for the misunderstanding, I meant that your mod looks leaps and bounds better than vanilla, not the other way around.
seobongzu  [author] 29 Aug @ 8:40am
@Swatch @e.b
Each building already has individual sliders, and you can also adjust them with a mod like Adaptive Storage – Global Settings. If the visual aspect is unsatisfactory, you can directly fine-tune it yourself through XML patching(https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Modding_Tutorials/PatchOperations) .
e.b 29 Aug @ 8:07am
@Swatch that's sad and, yeah, I really wish there was a setting like that too. I love the mod's aesthetics but don't want to trivialize the game, especially on the gravship run where optimizing space is probably the most important challenge.
Swatch 29 Aug @ 7:14am
@e.b
It feels very overpowered and I wish there was an option to just have it have the same storage as vanilla, because it looks leaps and bounds better.
e.b 27 Aug @ 6:25pm
For those who play with this mod - do you find it balanced or is it OP and trivializes the space/storage aspect of the game?
