[sbz] Neat Storage

I'm having trouble with the steel weapon racks.
the stored weapons seem to get rendered behind the racks, so I can't see them, but this only happens to the ones I built horizontally. I tried reinstalling them and flipping them 180 degrees and I've tried building the horizontal racks instead, to no avail.
Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?
bradson 4 Sep @ 2:45pm
This adds buildings, not the vanilla stockpiles. It doesn't do anything that could affect them
Rovstam 4 Sep @ 1:12pm
idk if this mod's the culprit, but biocoded is being ignored in every stockpile.
seobongzu  [author] 3 Sep @ 4:26pm
@Blackwell
Most likely.

@Freedom's Flame
Try using 'Adaptive Storage – Global Settings'. I’ve heard it has that kind of functionality.
Blackwell 3 Sep @ 4:03pm
Does this work with Medieval Overhaul storage too?
Freedom's Flame 2 Sep @ 9:02pm
I'm sure this has been asked before, but if I wanted to add an item category to a storage object is there a config for that? I use Yayo Combat, which adds ammo, but because your item categories for storage objects seem to be hardcoded new item categories from mods aren't included.

@Zaximus Rex
I’ll probably do one more update (planning to add a few buildings), and I’ll consider it then. Or I might make another storage mod. Or maybe I won’t. I’m not really sure how it’ll turn out.
Zaximus Rex 30 Aug @ 7:32am
I'm using cherry picker and holding off from removing Reel's storage entirely just for the stone block piles and wood log piles. I enjoy the aesthetic and feel they make a lot of sense to have their own specific storage structure. So this is just my humble request that one day we may get something similar with sbz. This mod seems to be better balanced to stock storage capacities and I would really love to prune other storage mods in favor of this.
e.b 29 Aug @ 10:58am
Thanks, that's awesome I'll give it a try!
Swatch 29 Aug @ 9:13am
@seobongzu
Apologies for the misunderstanding, I meant that your mod looks leaps and bounds better than vanilla, not the other way around.
seobongzu  [author] 29 Aug @ 8:40am
@Swatch @e.b
Each building already has individual sliders, and you can also adjust them with a mod like Adaptive Storage – Global Settings. If the visual aspect is unsatisfactory, you can directly fine-tune it yourself through XML patching(https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Modding_Tutorials/PatchOperations) .
e.b 29 Aug @ 8:07am
@Swatch that's sad and, yeah, I really wish there was a setting like that too. I love the mod's aesthetics but don't want to trivialize the game, especially on the gravship run where optimizing space is probably the most important challenge.
Swatch 29 Aug @ 7:14am
@e.b
It feels very overpowered and I wish there was an option to just have it have the same storage as vanilla, because it looks leaps and bounds better.
e.b 27 Aug @ 6:25pm
For those who play with this mod - do you find it balanced or is it OP and trivializes the space/storage aspect of the game?
egloo 18 Aug @ 11:41pm
john na mat it ne yo
hawzie 18 Aug @ 8:25pm
wait not nvm, i some how found out that most of the items are missing but instead are now unlockable through research after installing the vanilla expanded mom
hawzie 18 Aug @ 8:17pm
@judith_21
same here
seobongzu  [author] 18 Aug @ 2:54am
@judith_21
In my case, there’s absolutely no problem.
judith_21 18 Aug @ 2:28am
This mod apparently does not work together with the "Vanilla Furniture Expanded" mod (Vanilla Expanded Framework). Most of the storage items from the "Neat storage" mod disappear from the menu once I activate Vanilla Furniture Expanded. In the mod menu, it says that the Adaptive Storage Framework needs to be loaded before the Vanilla Expanded Framework. And for the mods itself, I tried different orderings, but without improvement. So I cannot use the Vanilla Furniture Expanded mod, since I find the neat storage more important. I post this also on the other mod, since I am not sure who needs to make changes for it to work.

@Victor
I think I know the reason now. The DDS isn’t a file I added, so it didn’t get updated.
Victor 17 Aug @ 5:38pm
It seems like when you unsubscribe from a mod, the .dds files are not deleted, I have now deleted the folder after unsubscribing, and that fixed the problem, thanks!

If it were truly a problem, the same issue would occur in all buildings. However, since it only happens with the weapon rack, it’s highly likely that the issue arises because I replaced the drawSize and texture, but only the drawSize gets updated while the texture does not. In short, it’s a problem with the Steam server.

Completely uninstall Neat Storage and subscribe again. It seems the update didn’t apply properly.
Victor 17 Aug @ 9:26am
I verified the game files but the problem persists, seems like half of the texture of the weapon rack is being drawn three times the size.
bradson 16 Aug @ 6:29pm
Yesterday's unstable rimworld update had a bug there with some textures getting scaled down randomly, which got fixed relatively shortly after. Depending on what you mean by wonky there's a good chance that it was that
Victor 16 Aug @ 6:15pm
Hey, in the current unstable build, the textures of some buildings got pretty wonky, specially the weapon rack.
Zei 15 Aug @ 8:02am
This mod is a game changer but I'm wondering about your logic for the hanger shelf. Is there some sort of hidden advantage to it like faster clothes changing? It offers 4 storage capacity per cell. Is there any reason to use it over a 2-tier display shelf, which offers 6 for storing clothes?
TortaAhogada 14 Aug @ 3:38pm
i dont know if i should ask this here, but is there a way in this mod to limit the amount of an item that can be stored in a specific piece of furniture? Like if I wanted to have 200 pieces of Plasteel on one shelf and the rest on another?
seobongzu  [author] 13 Aug @ 7:51pm
@safe
Genepacks works better with other mods than with ASF.
safe 13 Aug @ 7:49pm
Is there a bulk storage option for Genepacks?
TristanDolfin 13 Aug @ 5:08pm
You sir, are an absolute legend.
seobongzu  [author] 13 Aug @ 5:06pm
@TristanDolfin
If all you want is stackable hoppers, a patch that adds stacking to the vanilla hopper would be the easiest solution. If you want this, send me a Steam friend request. I can provide it.
TristanDolfin 13 Aug @ 4:57pm
I would tempt you with baked goods. But only mentally deranged killers offer baked goods over the internet. And I strictly play Rimworld peacefully and with love, I promise.
seobongzu  [author] 13 Aug @ 4:51pm
@TristanDolfin
I probably won’t add it to Neat Storage, but I could offer it separately like the Thin Open Shelf or release it as a small mod. I’ll think about it.
TristanDolfin 13 Aug @ 4:45pm
Sad to hear it. I actually use fridge but that has undesirable functions tied to it. Power draw, refrigeration, and light. Great for some applications however putting a bunch of fridges inside an already freezing room...not ideal.
seobongzu  [author] 13 Aug @ 4:40pm
@TristanDolfin
No plans to add a hopper since it’s already included in another mod (Fridge).
TristanDolfin 13 Aug @ 12:00pm
@seobongzu Firstly, thank you. Great idea and great implementation as well. Secondly, an idea. Hopper-able storage.

Been playing with this mod since 1.6 release, and after a recent update of mods now the Weapon Rack building has a twice as big texture sitting right behind the normal texture, that happens even after starting a new run, and in the Architect menu, the icon shows just that oversized texture.
seobongzu  [author] 10 Aug @ 7:39pm
@zero
I’m glad to hear you are using it well. Since the rework, I am truly satisfied with it myself. It is true that it can hold up to twice as much as vanilla, but among storage mods, I think it is relatively close to vanilla.
zero 10 Aug @ 7:27pm
i was skeptical about this mod as i thought it might "mess with balance" but honestly? im glad you've made this mod and im glad i'm using it. it's a game changer in terms of aesthetics and overall vibes for the game
seobongzu  [author] 10 Aug @ 4:33am
@ThatManHosk
It would be more accurate to ask Adaptive Storage Framework about issues related to conflicts.
ThatManHosk 10 Aug @ 4:31am
got a strange bug coming up today - on all neat storage, if i press group it only shows 1 item, and go on contents and it shows the entire contents only happened today when i added 'Social Wealth' unless theres a clash?
Nathan 9 Aug @ 5:02pm
@seobongzu
I just checked this mod to see what had updated and see the thin open shelf download! Thank you for being so considerate and kind!

Am I crazy or are all my items sitting off the edge of shelves now? https://i.imgur.com/95hRjHJ.png It wasn't like this before, right?
