Love this mod i no longer have occupy a whole freaking country to take a few provinces:steamhearteyes:

in my experience AI does not go crazy with it. i see them taking *a bit* more than usual *sometimes*, but that's about it, not game-breaking in the slightest (given i'm only playing Anbennar, but i don't think there's much difference in AI wars)
SANDE iG.  [author] 23 Jul @ 8:15am
I certainly see what you’re saying, France probably shouldn’t get those provinces after the hundred years war, and the fact that province warscore is so reduced does make taking provinces much easier with less warscore. The main thing that makes the is mod work is not being able to take land that is nearby an untaken fort, but it seems that doesn’t apply for islands or exclaves like Pale. I agree that if capitals were weighed heavier than other provinces, wars could turn out more fair. What are some concepts you might have in mind for ways to implement that?

Also, I’d recommend checking the -30% and -50% versions to see if they suit your preferences better. :demoticon:

I'm concerned of AI taking more than they deserve. An average hundred years war can result in France also taking Mann and the Pale with plenty of war reps, should the AI desire. This might be a stupid idea, but perhaps making the occupation of the enemy capital more important for warscore might make things more even and lead to more realistic wars.

it affects both players and ai. it is a global modifier on all provinces. ive noticed that ai take larger swathes of land than normal, but it does not feel excessive or game breaking whatsoever.
wildvika 8 Jul @ 3:08am
does this only work on the player or is AI affected too?
SANDE iG.  [author] 23 May @ 1:12am
i suppose it could be done but i fear it might break the balance of war. if you could win one battle, get 5% warscore and take all land not nearby a fort, or something to that effect. i think there is a -100% warscore addon already if im not mistaken, let me look for it rq
bosco8179 21 May @ 7:01am
would you make a -100% version?
epicgamer 27 Apr @ 11:11pm
yes it does
Wartank55 27 Apr @ 10:50pm
Now the Real Question
Does this Work with Anbennar

Coming back from Imperator where this is kinda the default setting, EU4's war score system always felt so jarring. I will admit it feels a *little* cheaty in that I can often take max money/warreps in addition to the provinces, but grappling with the *consequences* of my land grabs feels so much better then simply being barred from it in the first place!
Kamernikosz 13 Apr @ 10:38am
No worries, I'll just use my mod :P
Have a grrrrrrreat day lad
SANDE iG.  [author] 13 Apr @ 5:07am
i totally hear you but i think that might be outside the scope of this mod. i think it would significantly change how the HRE functions. 200 dev is the max size of a country you can add to the HRE, i think it sounds pretty balanced. sorry dawg
Kamernikosz 12 Apr @ 11:50am
Yes, I shouldve been able to add France, England, Spain etc. :P
SANDE iG.  [author] 12 Apr @ 11:43am
the vanilla defines.lua file has some line like PEACECOST.JOINHRE = 90 and the comment next to it explains that it sets the max peace cost of forcing a country to join the hre. In the vanilla game, was there a case where you felt like you should have been able to force someone to join the HRE but the warscore cost prevented it?
Kamernikosz 12 Apr @ 2:58am
@SANDE iG. You mean the max cost (90) is in vanilla, or in the mod?
And do you mean that with *my* HRE mod, I wasnt able to add someone to HRE? Or without it?
SANDE iG.  [author] 12 Apr @ 1:07am
@gribbleflix It should totally work with ET, I launched the game and got a screenshot which I added to the photos of the mod. :demoticon:
SANDE iG.  [author] 12 Apr @ 12:23am
@Kamernikosz In the files it looks like the line of code that dictates the cost of forcing joining the HRE sets the *max* cost (which is set to 90). In this sense, it does not scale with the dev or size of the country like annexing or vassalization does. To join the HRE, a country has to have less than 200 dev, so I think that 90 warscore max for forcing a country to become part of an empire sounds pretty reasonable. Did you find that in your game the mechanics were limiting you from doing something you otherwise felt you should be able to achieve?
Gribelflix 9 Apr @ 4:45am
Dose it work with ET?
Kamernikosz 7 Apr @ 6:16am
:D, if you wanna I can give you the mod I made, although Im no expert, so it maybe couldve been done better :P
SANDE iG.  [author] 6 Apr @ 10:36am
totally makes sense, i’ll add it to all the mods when i get home. A+ for proactivity
Kamernikosz 5 Apr @ 1:29pm
Got tired of waiting, and made it myself :P
Kamernikosz 5 Apr @ 1:52am
Able AND willing to :P
Kamernikosz 5 Apr @ 12:37am
Would you be able to make a version of the mod/add to the existing mod/s warscore cost reduction for forcing someone into HRE?
Since its basically like vassalizing them, although they remain veeeerrry autonomous :P
And your mod already decrease warscore cost for vassalization
Kamernikosz 31 Mar @ 8:41am
Glad you made it :3
SANDE iG.  [author] 31 Mar @ 2:42am
the launcher and the game files should properly reflect the correct name of the mod. Thanks for pointing it out. Glad you enjoy it :emofdr:
Kamernikosz 30 Mar @ 4:17am
Oki doki, btw, thank you so much man for creating this mod, like, I loooooove it
SANDE iG.  [author] 30 Mar @ 12:02am
I didn’t make any changes to ae, only overextension. At first before I put any code, I named it -75% because I thought that would be a good change. but later (same day) I realized I’d like the mod to be -80% instead, so I made the code and title reflect that. i’ll check if i can update the name for the in-game launcher. Sorry for the confusion.
Kamernikosz 29 Mar @ 6:47am
Also, why is the mod called -75% instead of -80% in game launcher?, and now its called 80?
Wth, why is the mod changing its name bruh?
Kamernikosz 29 Mar @ 6:36am
(idk if Post Finem changes ae)
Kamernikosz 29 Mar @ 6:35am
Idk if its because I play Post Finem which changes ae, or because the development is high, but when I play as Carthage, while having THIS mod installed, I get SOOOOOO MUCH ae, while when I was playing Rome without THIS mod, I dont think Ive been getting THAT MUCH ae

Does this mod change ae in any way?
kc01 25 Feb @ 2:38pm
Nobody wants to watch your videos egomaniac fat ass
Chewy 25 Feb @ 1:35pm
Video dropping tomorrow. Enjoy!
fnyb3rg 24 Feb @ 3:46am
sorry i didnt see that you responded but yeah i was thinking that if you changed it to work like this mod https://gtm.steamproxy.vip/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3340762930&searchtext=liberty+desire+from+dev if possible it would basically remove all incompatiable stuff
SANDE iG.  [author] 15 Feb @ 4:32pm
oops i called it AE change when it is actually the overextension threshold. either way its up
SANDE iG.  [author] 13 Feb @ 11:29pm
@Jrookus no AE change version is up!
2000wires 13 Feb @ 8:07pm
@GREEN Alright, thanks
GREEN 11 Feb @ 3:09pm
@2000wires I've been using it with responsible blobbing and it seems to work perfectly fine for me
2000wires 10 Feb @ 2:46pm
Does this work at all with the responsible blobbing mod?
justinlyo 9 Feb @ 10:07am
Thanks for the amazing mod I use it for Voltaire's Nightmare so I don't have to go to war with one country 40 times just to conquer them.
SANDE iG.  [author] 7 Feb @ 9:16am
@Kirikaze nothing would be stopping finland from doing that per se, but if finland somehow managed to 100% capture russia and peaced out all their allies, i don’t see why they shouldn’t be able to if they wanted to. i’ve found that the AI is pretty modest in their conquests, i’d say most wars between majors don’t go to 100% - they are often fairly balanced. the finland AI in your scenario would then have to contend with the enormous amounts of AE, overextension, and coring costs.
SANDE iG.  [author] 7 Feb @ 9:13am
@Jrookus for sure, ill try to have it up this weekend
Kirikaze 6 Feb @ 11:13pm
i havent tested the mod yet but from the description i feel like AI should have some tweaks cause what would stop finland from full annexing russia in a war they somehow win or any other example like that
Jrookus 6 Feb @ 1:24pm
Could you make a mod without the overextension changes but keep the warscore changes?
Gao 3 Feb @ 10:02am
@DYKALWAPK seethe
dualrotorhelicopter 3 Feb @ 7:17am
this likely isn't a redesign of any mod, especially since it is such a simple and easy to achieve set of changes. this is to say, i have no clue why that guy decided to post that 5 whole times within a single minute.
kc01 2 Feb @ 9:58am
DYALWAPK, your mod works the opposite way by making the total warscore 500, not by reducing cost, so not only is it absolute dog water and useless, he actually had to redesign it so it WORKS. Dumb thirdie go back.
SANDE iG.  [author] 1 Feb @ 2:51pm
what mod did i steal?
