Less Province Warscore Cost (-80%)

Description
I've always felt that EU4 restricted conquering far too much, and could never allow you or any AI to replicate Alexander's conquests, Rome's expansion, Ottoman's conquest of Mamluks, Mongol conquests, Moghul expansion, the conquests of the first caliphate, viking conquest of england, ect. Additionally, I felt that the player should be able to take as much as they want, with the in-game mechanisms of aggressive expansion and overextension being the only limit, not an arbitrary "warscore" number. If I fully defeat you, I should be able to take as much as I want and weigh the consequences of greed instead of being limited. I also felt that overextension was so brutal. Why would the peasants and my fellow countrymen be so upset about the successful expansion of the country? So I increased the overextension "cap" to 150% instead of 100%. This means you will only get negative "bloodthirsty warmonger" events from overextension if you have over 150% overextension. This mod will let you annex all of France, or Ottomans, or Lithuania, or Mamluks in one decisive war (and face the consequences of doing so).

This mod:
-Reduces warscore cost of all provinces to -80%
-Reduces warscore cost of vassalization to -80%
-Reduces warscore cost of being forced to release an annexed nation by -50%
-Reduces warscore cost of being forced to release a vassal by -50%
-Increases the overextension threshold from 100% to 150%

COMPATIBILITY:

It should work with virtually all mods as long as they don't change any of those 5 values above. This includes Extended Timeline (ET), Anbennar, and anything else you can think of. I tested this mod with all the ones that I usually play with (over 40 mods), and there were no conflicts. If there are any conflicts or complications that are encountered with any other mods, please let me know so I can list it here and perhaps find a solution.

I have not done extensive testing, so please let me know if there is anything that should be tweaked or doesn't seem quite right. Please leave a comment of what you think!

in my experience AI does not go crazy with it. i see them taking *a bit* more than usual *sometimes*, but that's about it, not game-breaking in the slightest (given i'm only playing Anbennar, but i don't think there's much difference in AI wars)

I certainly see what you’re saying, France probably shouldn’t get those provinces after the hundred years war, and the fact that province warscore is so reduced does make taking provinces much easier with less warscore. The main thing that makes the is mod work is not being able to take land that is nearby an untaken fort, but it seems that doesn’t apply for islands or exclaves like Pale. I agree that if capitals were weighed heavier than other provinces, wars could turn out more fair. What are some concepts you might have in mind for ways to implement that?

Also, I’d recommend checking the -30% and -50% versions to see if they suit your preferences better. :demoticon:

I'm concerned of AI taking more than they deserve. An average hundred years war can result in France also taking Mann and the Pale with plenty of war reps, should the AI desire. This might be a stupid idea, but perhaps making the occupation of the enemy capital more important for warscore might make things more even and lead to more realistic wars.

it affects both players and ai. it is a global modifier on all provinces. ive noticed that ai take larger swathes of land than normal, but it does not feel excessive or game breaking whatsoever.

does this only work on the player or is AI affected too?

i suppose it could be done but i fear it might break the balance of war. if you could win one battle, get 5% warscore and take all land not nearby a fort, or something to that effect. i think there is a -100% warscore addon already if im not mistaken, let me look for it rq
