put the extracted folder in:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\custom"
(also make the custom folder if it's not there)

in hl2 files there are folders like '"scripts" and "resources", one of them had a text file with all the names and u can edit that
